Qingdao Beach Hotels

"I'm reviewing this quite strictly because it's priced the same as the five-star hotel next door. The room and facilities are relatively new, spacious, and very clean. The linens were all comfortable to use. The location and view are also excellent. Here are the downsides I'd like to highlight: The design details of various facilities in the room are quite average. For example, the shower head on the wall couldn't be adjusted, so you had to hold it, and it took a long time for hot water to come out. It was nice that laundry detergent pods were provided with the washing machine, but there was nowhere in the entire room to hang clothes. I suggest adding a retractable clothesline in the shower room. The room's air conditioning and ventilation system didn't work well. It felt stuffy and hot during the May Day holiday, and there was still a noticeable odor in the room, so I had to keep the windows open for ventilation throughout my stay. The TV had no free channels, everything had to be paid for, but thankfully, I could cast from my phone. The breakfast was probably on par with a three-star hotel and needs improvement."

"After searching through many hotels along the coast, I felt that Haitan offered the best value for money! And my choice proved to be correct! The service at this five-star hotel is absolutely top-notch. As soon as we arrived, even before getting out of the car, they were already actively helping with our luggage. Since we were staying for four nights, the front desk upgraded our room type. The room facilities were excellent, with electric curtains and card-free power, adding a nice touch of human-centered design. The view was fantastic, with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking Qingdao's Third Bathing Beach. Our hotel butler, Lilith, checked in with us daily via WeChat to see how our stay was going and if we had any new needs, which she promptly met! The hotel's location is also superb, right between Badaguan and the Olympic Sailing Center! Plus, there's a mall right downstairs!"

"Location: The hotel is conveniently located near Yan'an Third Road subway station. If you take Exit D, there's a commercial area right outside with plenty of dining and shopping options, and the hotel is directly across the street. If you take Exit A, it's a few minutes' walk east, and you'll pass a 7-Eleven on the way. The subway provides easy access to all the major attractions, and Vientiane City is only about a fifteen-minute walk away. It's also a pleasant stroll to May Fourth Square after dinner. Service: The staff are warm, attentive, and greet children kindly, making them very approachable. The front desk efficiently handled check-in, was very helpful in answering questions, and housekeeping responded quickly to our requests. It truly lives up to its reputation as a long-standing hotel; the service is excellent. Environment: Upon entering, you'll find the front desk. While checking in, family members can wait in the adjacent lounge area. The overall style is spacious and tidy. We booked a family suite, which had two single beds in the living room and a king-size bed in the bedroom, plus a bathroom with a double vanity. The space was quite suitable for a family of four. The room offered a great view of the sea and distant office buildings, and at night, we could enjoy the spectacular changing lights. The family suite also came with a children's building block table, sand play tools, and a small tent. Restaurant: The variety of food is rich. For those dining before 10 AM, the staff will give a friendly reminder before service ends and even pack small tomatoes in a box for the children, which was a thoughtful touch. Facilities: The hotel is quite old, and the facilities are indeed a bit dated, showing their age. Hygiene: The cleanliness of the children's building block table definitely needs improvement. Considering it's promoted as a family suite, we found cigarette ash and thick dust in the toys, and a red, blood-like stain on the small tent. Housekeeping promptly cleaned it. After my child played with the toys and tent in the afternoon, their eyes became uncomfortable that evening, with a noticeable increase in green discharge, clearly a bacterial infection. The next day, their eyes were swollen and matted shut when they woke up. Luckily, I had eye ointment which I applied, and my child's condition improved by the third day. However, then my own eyes started to become red and infected... Five days later, my eyes are still bloodshot. I followed up with the hotel about the situation, and Ms. Meng Qing, who handled my case, was sincere, didn't evade the issue, actively sought a solution, and promised that the hotel would rectify and improve its hygiene standards. A hotel that can face problems directly gives me confidence that they will genuinely follow through on their promises. I hope to experience the improved conditions on a future visit."

"Can you believe there's no air conditioning? How can a hotel this big expect guests to survive without it? I had to call them to bring a portable air cooler, and the fan was so weak, you had to be right next to it to feel anything. It took me all night to get a decent sleep, it was such a struggle! The central air conditioning in the room only blew out natural air, not cool air. The shower pressure was awful; it was uncomfortable to shower with such a weak stream. Are they really that stingy they won't turn on the pump? Breakfast was also very mediocre. The sausages and ham were clearly cheap. I definitely don't recommend this place!"

"We booked a sea-view room and the view was fantastic, offering a panoramic sight of the entire Zhanqiao Pier. The hotel's location is superb; you step right out to the beach, and transportation is very convenient with both bus and subway access. The hotel staff were very attentive and welcoming, always greeting us proactively. When we checked out, they even gave us a bag of Shandong local specialties. All in all, it was excellent and a very comfortable stay."

"What a delightful luxury hotel! The location is fantastic, right by the golden sands of the West Coast beach. The hotel itself is shaped like a ship, which is a really unique design. The rooms are decorated in a German style, very new, and feature beer-themed elements everywhere. You can even see the sea from your room. The amenities provided are incredibly comprehensive, and the hotel offers so many complimentary items, especially the beer tasting and free popsicles. Breakfast is incredibly rich and varied, and the special drink concoctions are very distinctive and in high demand. The staff provided excellent service. This is a hidden gem of a hotel, and our whole family had a wonderful stay. Highly recommended!"

"I stayed here for four nights during my trip to Qingdao, and it was a great experience. The transportation is super convenient, with the subway right downstairs. It's also a short walk to Zhanqiao Pier and Zhongshan Road. The food options on Hunan Road nearby are incredibly diverse, and I ate there for several meals. The hotel service was thoughtful; the front desk staff was very enthusiastic, and the cleaning lady was polite, always greeting me and asking if I needed anything. You can also enjoy a beautiful sea view from the hotel."

"The room facilities are very new. The atmosphere of the hotel is particularly good. Especially the design of the executive lounge. I like it the most. I have a very pleasant relationship with the front desk brother and my sister. The service is very good. It was originally a Marriott series. The faithful believer said that the opposite Sheraton is not as good as this hotel. The facilities are all five stars. The problem is that I hope the hotel can modify the door downstairs and the in-store environment is too different. Haha"

"We definitely picked the right hotel for our Qingdao trip! The location is fantastic, really close to Beer City and Tangdao Bay, making it super convenient for a seaside vacation. The hotel is brand new with a minimalist yet high-end design. The rooms are spacious and bright, and the sea view from our room was absolutely breathtaking—we could watch the sunrise and sunset right from our bed. The cleanliness was top-notch; the sheets were spotless and odorless. The bathroom had a great wet/dry separation, a smart toilet, and a large TV—everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. And the service was incredibly warm and thoughtful! The front desk staff were welcoming and attentive, even upgrading our room and offering complimentary coffee. Housekeeping was very responsive, and they were super accommodating with our late check-out request. They even gave us little snacks as a farewell gift when we checked out. Our overall experience was absolutely perfect!"

"Finally got around to writing a review after my trip – this guesthouse is absolutely amazing! I stayed here for three nights and was extremely satisfied! ✅ Super attentive service: The manager proactively reached out to provide check-in details, and any requests I had during my stay were responded to incredibly quickly. ✅ Delightful dining: The breakfast was plentiful and fresh, and the afternoon tea was exquisite and delicious. Enjoying it with a sea view was just so relaxing. ✅ Spotlessly clean: The room was impeccably cleaned, and the bathroom had no odors. As someone with germophobia, I felt perfectly comfortable! ✅ Unbeatable location: It's right in the heart of Qinyu Road, with the sea just outside. It's also very close to Xiao Qingdao, Luxun Park, and the Naval Museum."
