"It's not a new building. It felt like staying at my grandma's house. There was some black mold in the bathtub and the pillow smelled a bit (though my nose might just be too sensitive). It wasn't unhygienic, but don't expect a new, sparkling clean room. They lent me a kettle and pool towels, which was nice. The staff were very good. The location is excellent for swimming as the sea is very close. The best part is the cost-performance. For this price, with breakfast, partial ocean view, and in a good location, it's fantastic. The food was delicious every day! I especially liked the miso soup and the three kinds of fruit. Even on the day of the typhoon when the power went out, they still let us have the buffet and eat in our rooms!"

"This is a beautiful and spacious hotel, and I stayed for three nights. One unique feature is that the rooms provide individual branded water bottles (resembling thermoses) that guests need to fill themselves. There are special built-in water dispensers on the 1st and 8th floors. Also on the 8th floor, there's a laundry room, costing $4.50 per wash or dry cycle, which is very convenient! However, you can't buy laundry pods there; you need to bring your own. On the same floor, there's a garden – an exit to a spacious balcony with plants and seating areas. And, of course, an infinity pool. Sun loungers are next to the pool, and towels are provided right there. There's also a bar by the pool. The rooms are spacious, with panoramic windows and automatic blackout curtains. There's a coffee machine and a kettle (capsules and tea bags are also provided). For the beach, the hotel provides branded bags with towels, which can be exchanged daily. Getting to the beach isn't so much far as it is a bit of a walk, about 9-10 minutes on foot, because you have to walk around some things. There's also a bakery at the hotel, open from 6:30 AM to 11:30 AM, and there's always a long queue from the street in the mornings! I really liked the hotel – highly recommend it! ✅👍🏻"

If you're considering a budget-conscious option, consider this a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Hawaii, nearly 10 hours from Korea. It's truly the best accommodation of your life."

"No kidding, I've stayed at this hotel before, about eight years ago, and I had such a great experience that I decided to book it again this time. The hotel's location is fantastic; turn left for the beach and right for the commercial street. I opted for a sea-view room, and sitting on the balcony enjoying the scenery truly gives you that vacation feeling!"

"I stayed here with three friends. It's a 10-minute walk to Ala Moana Center and close to Magic Island and Kahanamoku Beach. They offer free daily activities like lei making and yoga, which made our stay very enjoyable. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. I highly recommend this hotel."

"I recently stayed at this hotel in the Penthouse and, overall, had a pleasant stay. However, there were several areas where the guest experience could be improved. Pros: * The location is convenient, with Waikiki Beach approximately a 15-minute walk away. * There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance, although I would recommend making reservations in advance as many are very popular. * There are numerous ABC Stores nearby, making it easy to pick up snacks, drinks, souvenirs, and other essentials. * A special mention goes to Ralph, who was outstanding throughout our stay. He was friendly, approachable, and always happy to help with any questions or recommendations. He quickly became our go-to person whenever we needed assistance and is a real credit to the hotel. Cons: * Upon arrival, we were not offered the welcome drink that other guests appeared to receive. We checked in shortly after 3:00 pm, yet we saw guests arriving at around 9:30 pm the previous evening being offered welcome drinks. It was disappointing that this was not provided consistently. * We were never informed that the hotel offers complimentary beach umbrellas and chairs on a first come, first served basis. We ended up purchasing our own before accidentally overhearing another member of staff explain this benefit during another guest’s check-in. * Similarly, we only discovered that the hotel offers a complimentary walking tour after overhearing a different staff member mention it to another guest. It would have been helpful if all guests were informed about the activities and amenities available during check-in. * We booked the Penthouse expecting to fully enjoy the advertised 90-degree views. While the views themselves were excellent, the balcony was much smaller than expected and not really large enough to comfortably sit and enjoy them. * The bathroom, particularly the bathtub, felt dated and would benefit from refurbishment. * The room itself is showing its age and could do with a modern refresh. * The breakfast room is exceptionally small considering the number of guests staying at the hotel. During busy periods it becomes crowded and difficult to find seating. * One morning, a guest was allowed to bring a dog into the enclosed, air-conditioned breakfast room. To my understanding, this is not permitted under Hawaii law unless the animal is a legitimate service animal, and it made the dining experience uncomfortable. * The Skyline floor cannot be accessed using the elevator on the far left, which was inconvenient and not clearly explained. * At check-in, a $200 deposit was authorised along with an additional hold on my credit card. This extra charge was never explained by staff, and I only became aware of it after reviewing my credit card statement. Greater transparency regarding incidental holds would have been appreciated. Overall, the hotel is in a good location with helpful staff, especially Ralph, and provides a comfortable base for exploring Waikiki. However, there were several inconsistencies in communication and a number of facilities that would benefit from updating. Better communication during check-in about available amenities, clearer explanations of credit card holds, and refurbishment of the rooms would significantly improve the overall guest experience."

"일단 풍경은 너무 완벽합니다. 호텔 앞에 해변도 좋고, 수영장에서 보이는 풍경도 너무 아름다워요. 아마 기존에 오래된 리조트를 리츠칼튼에서 인수해서 그런거겠지만 아쉬운 점도 많이 보였습니다. 1. 청결도 - 객실 수건 안에서 잔디, 머리카락이 나와서 이용하기가 어려워서 수영장 수건이 오히려 깨끗하다고 느껴졌습니다. 2. 화장실 - 샤워실이 너무 좁고 변기랑 붙어있어서 오갈때 매우 불편합니다. 아마 리모델링 했어도 오래된 객실 특징이지 않을까 싶어요. 3. 직원들 친절도 - 다른 도시 리츠칼튼을 여러곳 가봤는데, 여기처럼 친절하지 않은 곳은 처음이에요. 아마 아시안이라서 그런것일수도 있지만, 체크인할때 시설 설명을 잘해주지도 않고, 체크아웃 시 영수증도 요청하기 전엔 내역 확인도 안시켜줍니다. Beach House 레스토랑에서는 Walk-In Welcome 이라고 하면서도 자리가 없다고 합니다. 정말 없었을수도 있지만, 예약시간 맞춰서 와서도 구석 자리로 안내받았습니다.(디너 시간이 끝나가는 시간이었음에도 예약석이라며 다른 테이블은 없다고 함) 자연광경과 로비는 좋았지만, 가격이나 리츠칼튼 브랜드에 기대하는 바를 생각하면 직원들의 태도와 청결도는 아쉽네요."

"The room was very clean, and the pool was great for swimming and sunbathing. Stepping out of the hotel, you're right on Waikiki Beach's commercial street, making it convenient for dining and shopping. We stayed on the 9th floor, looking down at a rooftop. The downside was that the music from what seemed to be other hotels' bars nearby was quite loud late at night, which could affect light sleepers. The hotel breakfast was typical American, but offered average value for money. The hotel's parking lot uses a mezzanine style, so remember your spot when coming and going."

"We stayed in an ocean view room. It was very close to the sea, and the view from the lanai was absolutely stunning. I think it was one of the ocean view rooms with the best views, being so close to the ocean. I'm very grateful that we were allocated this particular room. The housekeeping staff were also very friendly and pleasant, which made our stay enjoyable. The location was also excellent, close to the Duke Kahanamoku statue in the heart of Waikiki. The only downsides were that there was no explanation about the resort points we were supposed to receive as part of our stay. Also, we booked three rooms for six people, but due to their system, we could only process payment for one room at a time. This meant I couldn't use the same credit card for the second room and had to scramble. I'd recommend bringing enough credit cards for each room you book. These two minor issues were a bit disappointing, so I deducted one star from the service rating."

"The room was spacious, and the sofa bed could sleep two people. The hotel was beautiful, with water slides, rafting, snorkeling, and more; I recommend setting aside a day to enjoy the hotel. The dining options were also more plentiful than the Marriott next door."
