"We stayed here for 4 nights with my family. The location is very convenient, as it’s not far from most of the attractions in Shanghai. There are convenience stores just below the hotel, and it’s within walking distance to Nanjing Road and The Bund. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They even prepared a surprise birthday cake for my mother-in-law, which was a very thoughtful gesture. We had breakfast for 4 days—although the selection was quite similar each day, the food was still enjoyable for us."

"This was my second stay at the Dihang Hotel, and I'm very happy with the overall room design, especially the murals, which are a highlight – fresh, elegant, and tasteful, I love them! 😍 I'm also very satisfied with the housekeeping staff's attitude; they are diligent, responsible, and patient. However, there was an issue with the bathroom in my room this time: there was a very strong sewage smell coming from the drain that filled the entire room. This is something that needs to be addressed urgently, as it will otherwise negatively impact future stays."

"We stayed at the hotel from April 4th to 7th. The location is quite convenient, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Breakfast was very affordable—just 88¥ for four meals—which was a pleasant surprise. The rooms and common areas were clean and well-maintained. The only issue we encountered was with the bathroom door, which was difficult to slide. Overall, it was a comfortable stay with good value for money. --- This version highlights the positives (location, staff, cleanliness, affordable breakfast) while fairly noting the one drawback (bathroom door). Would you like me to also create a shorter, punchier version for platforms like Google Reviews or TripAdvisor, where readers often skim quickly?"

The Da Zhong Airport Hotel (Dazhong Konggang Binguan) is located between terminals 1 and 2 of Pudong International Airport, each of which is just a 5-minute walk from the other. This Shanghai hotel is split into two separate areas. The South Villa (Airport Hotel) is considered a hotel and has a variety of room types ranging from round-bed rooms to suites. The North Villa (Motel) is a less expensivehotel and has has queen and twin rooms. The on-site Merrylin Restaurant serves a menu of Chinese and international fare. Several fast food outlets and other eateries are on hand in the airport so there is no shortage of dining options.Meeting facilities are available as well as paid parking.

"We booked the South Building, which faces the airport check-in hall. For just over 500 RMB, I wasn't expecting much, just a place to crash for the night before my flight. But to my surprise, the facilities and amenities were incredibly complete! The room was also very spacious; it felt like a high-end hotel from a few years ago. It was clean and hygienic! The only thing was that you could still hear some airplane noise around 11:00 PM, but they thoughtfully provided earplugs in the room, which was a really nice touch."

"The location is pretty good, with plenty of dining options nearby, making it easy to find food. The front desk service was a bit quiet, with minimal communication throughout. I'd advise everyone to try and avoid rooms at the very end of the hallway. We were assigned to the innermost room, right next to the cleaning staff's utility room, which wasn't a great experience. The room had a slight stuffy odor, possibly from being vacant for a long time. Soundproofing was mediocre; we could clearly hear the cleaning staff chatting in the hallway while trying to rest in the morning, which was disruptive. Overall, it's suitable for travelers who aren't particular about accommodation details and just need a brief stopover. If you're looking for a quiet and comfortable environment, I suggest communicating your room preference beforehand so you don't end up like us, only finding out after checking in. A nice touch is that they have a package room, so you can order deliveries before you arrive and pick them up later."

Hotel near Yu Garden Area,Shanghai
Located in the Huangpu District of central Shanghai, Mercure Shanghai Yu Garden is near the famous Yuyuan Garden. It is within 5 minutes walk to Metro Line 10 Yuyuan Station and Line 8 Laoximen station. The hotel is only 10 minutes away from Xintiandi, Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street and the Bund. It is also surrounded by shopping malls and entertainment outlets. The hotel features 223 stylish rooms, a Chinese and French buffet breakfast restaurant and gym, which will be the ideal choice for business and leisure travellers.

"I booked this hotel expecting a proper 4-star stay, but unfortunately, it felt closer to a hostel in terms of comfort and service. The biggest issue was the room temperature. The AC only works for cooling — even in cold weather. The receptionist told us at check-in that there’s no heating. I was traveling with my son, and after a freezing night, he got sick and I woke up with a sore throat. Going to a cold bed after a long day is just miserable. The cleaner kept turning the AC back to cooling mode after each cleaning, so we’d return to an even colder room. There’s a smart toilet with a warm seat — ironic, given the rest of the room was like an icebox. No bathrobe either. Shower was fine, but that’s about it. Breakfast was very mediocre. Rice and side dishes were cold, the place was overcrowded, and many tables stayed dirty for a long time with no staff helping. The only positive: coffee was good. Service attitude felt like “whatever mode” — not what you’d expect from a 4-star. I asked for an upper floor with a view during booking, but it was completely ignored. I chose a room with a window — ended up on the 3rd floor facing another building’s windows, with rubbish bins downstairs. I could see into the neighbors’ apartments. Worst view I’ve ever had. They also claim on their website that currency exchange is available, but when I asked, staff told me to wait for banks to open and go there myself. The location is just okay — 10 min walk to Yu Garden and subway, 25 min to Nanjing Lu. Laundry room is a plus (free detergent), but expect a queue in the evening. Overall, this is a very average hotel. Definitely not 4-star. If there’s no other choice, it’s tolerable — but there are many better places to stay near Yu Garden. I would not recommend this hotel."

CCiky2023Our romantic winter getaway began the moment we stepped into Dino Starry Resort, immediately feeling a warm welcome. Unlike a typical hotel's impersonal atmosphere, the staff here felt like old friends, making us feel right at home and completely relaxed. Getting to Disneyland was a breeze with their Mercedes shuttle, which departed at our pre-arranged time. Breakfast was plentiful, and our room was spotless and tidy. The overall environment was lovely, and there were even small animals in the backyard that we could feed for free. The biggest surprise, though, was experiencing authentic winter fun. We gathered around a traditional earthen pot stove, warming ourselves and chatting, or enjoyed a steaming hotpot cooked in a vintage hanging pot. On sunny days, we even had a lively outdoor BBQ with plenty of smoke and laughter. From the rustic charm of the earthen pot to the nostalgic feel of the hanging pot and the vibrant energy of the BBQ, this place had it all. Dino Starry is more than just a place to stay; it's a wonderful space where you can unwind, leave your weariness behind, and relive cherished moments. Come and gather with your loved ones here, and collect a whole winter's worth of warmth amidst delicious food and laughter!

GGuest UserTraveling to Shanghai with my family of three for the May Day holiday. We booked this hotel for our second night, wanting something closer to the Bund since my child can't walk too far. After an exhausting 20,000 steps at Disney, we arrived to check in. The front desk lady was incredibly kind and polite. Knowing we wanted to be near the Bund, she proactively asked about upgrading our room. She checked for availability and helped us upgrade to an executive room for a lower price. Seeing we had a child, she even offered an extra breakfast for them (though we slept in until noon the next day and missed it!), but the service was truly excellent. She also helped us extend our check-out time, and the front desk offers free luggage storage, which is very nice. As we were leaving to go out, she even offered us two bottles of water. The room itself was very clean and comfortable. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting the Shanghai Bund; it's just a 10-minute walk and very close to the Peace Hotel and the pedestrian street. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Shanghai.

GGuest UserWe booked for airport transfer from the hotel via we chat.  They response very quickly.   However the shuttle got problem on the way and could not make it to the airport but they informed us quickly and try to help in every way.    The service and their responsibility are impressive.   During our stay, the front and the bell are very helpful.  They try to help for every request we ask.    They cannot speak English but that was not the problem, with translation equipment, the communication is no more the problem.    The facilities are superb.   Shower with good water flow, easily adjusted.   I really love their shampoo with Sandalwood fragrance, good quality.   We stay in zootopia room.  The room was designed with nice details.     The mattress and blanket are good quality.  They even have massage chair at the lobby, very thoughtful for the long day at Disneyland. The food are mostly Chinese way, but they have some selection for kids and foreigner.    The fried vegetables are tasty, freshly from the family garden in front of the hotel.   Our family enjoy the breakfast. The location is good for the ones who would like to have a touch with local not the city.   Many local restaurants and supermarkets around the hotel.   Easily access to Disneyland.   Their Disney shuttle system via we chat is very effective.   I picked this hotel because they provide many rounds of Disney transfers.    And even we pick other time, taxi is just 18-20 yuan, 10 min away.       The hotel is quite far away from Shanghai city 1+ hours by taxi. But it is in the middle between  city and Shanghai astronomy museum, which suits us well.     Thanks all staffs for the hospitality.

ZZhangchunyangThe breakfast selection was extensive, and the location was super convenient! The service was really warm and welcoming. I booked a special offer room, which was small but perfectly adequate. It had a nice wooden decor. I'm a Huazhu Hotels member and usually stay at the Ji Hotel, but the prices were too high during this holiday period. It would be great if the hotel could upgrade to heated toilet seats; Shanghai is just too cold in spring!

GGuest UserBack in Shanghai, after visiting Disney with my child, I experienced true five-star service from the moment the concierge opened the car door. Check-in at the front desk was quick and professional. I was especially thrilled to meet Jennie again at the front desk. Seeing that I had a child with me, she thoughtfully upgraded our room, provided kids' toiletries and a small bathrobe, and even set up a tent, which was a wonderful surprise and made my child very happy. Meeting Jennie actually made us feel like we were coming home, truly embodying the saying, 'You fall in love with a city because of one person.' This really rings true after staying at the Ritz. The hotel's location is superb, with lovely views, and a shopping mall right downstairs. The room was spotlessly clean, and the soundproofing was excellent, ensuring we had a great night's sleep. The facilities are, of course, top-notch – comfortable bedding and charming night views. But what truly made me remember this city was every smile and every perfectly timed act of care from the hotel staff. Looking forward to my next visit!

GGuest UserThe Peninsula Shanghai, nestled by the Waibaidu Bridge, the Monument to the People's Heroes, and the Bund, might not be described as 'convenient' in the traditional sense, but I found its location perfect for soaking in the unique Shanghainese vibe! The service here is wonderfully old-school and distinctively 'Shanghai' – unhurried yet efficient, demonstrating a clear and deep understanding of guest needs. The rooms are classic Peninsula style, with well-defined functional areas, superb soundproofing, and impeccable cleanliness and maintenance, putting my mind completely at ease. The dining experience was a genuine delight; both breakfast and the Cantonese restaurant in the evening were so memorable. I particularly loved the evening bath ritual – pressing the SPA button and immersing myself in the tranquil, ethereal music, it felt like I was back in a cozy island retreat! My two-day Peninsula experience was a solid 12 out of 10. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Shanghai who wants to truly experience its unique charm!

CCurious TravellerGreat location if you are heading for Disneyland or has an early flight to catch the next morning. Otherwise it is quite far from Shanghai city center - JingAn area- with no traffic - 45 min taxi ride) The hotel offers free shuttle to Disneyland which departs the hotel at 7:20am; and returns to the hotel at 10:20pm. It was a bit late for us since we finished watching the fireworks at 830pm. (Disneyland closes at 9:30pm ). So we just took a taxi (very few people waiting and cost ~RMB50; while the online car service costs ~R30 but the waiting area was very congested. The free shuttle to Putong airport departs on the hour and starts from 4 or 5am and takes less than 30min. Need to book one day in advance at the front desk. Our 3 persons family room has a double bed and a proper single bed( not fold up bed). Spacious enough for luggages. The negatives - we booked and paid for 3 persons - but hotel only offered breakfast for 2. We booked 2 nights but only has breakfast for one day. Strangest arrangement I have ever seen. BF - has reasonable options of Chinese and western cuisine . Noodle Bar was the best. Night snack- also has noodle bar with dumplings and congee.

GGuest UserThe hotel is beautiful, situated right on the bund. The breakfast is good and the beds are comfortable. My family and I were travelling through China for 4 weeks, and I booked this place for 4 nights, we usually like to stay in places where we can do laundry, here we had to use an outsourced business to get our laundry done as there are no laundry facilities close by and it would have cost us $500 aud to get our laundry done through the hotel. Just something to be mindful of if you are travelling with a family. However in saying that, the process of outsourcing was only made possible because of the assistance given by the hotel. I’m glad we booked it, the experience overall was great.

JjaspenI've wanted to stay at the W Shanghai - The Bund for a long time, and finally got to during my recent trip to Shanghai. It wasn't as perfect as I'd imagined. First, the good points: The environment is nice, and the cleanliness is decent. The staff are very friendly, and the breakfast offers a wide variety. The outdoor bar was the best experience. Now, for the less satisfying aspects: 1. Previously, when staying at hotels, you could contact scalpers or certain individuals on platforms to use their membership tiers for room upgrades. Since I booked in advance, I contacted them early about a possible upgrade. I was told that if there was an available room type on the day, I could be upgraded. However, on the day of check-in, they claimed there were no rooms available and didn't upgrade me. At the time, I checked the Ctrip app and saw that rooms *were* available. I'm a platinum member with upgrade benefits, and I still didn't get one. 2. My Ctrip booking included two complimentary drinks, but the front desk didn't provide vouchers during check-in. I only found out at the bar that I needed to go back to the front desk to get them. 3. I had a lot of things and wanted to use the black bag in the closet. Unfortunately, it was broken, and the hotel hadn't replaced it in time.

MManpreet LuthraIt’s an amazing hotel. The service of front desk is very very supportive and helping. They help you for anything and make sure that customers are best served. I would especially thank front desk attendant Ms Zhang Yixiao, she helped me a lot get all my packages from online shopping. I got more than 30 packages and she made sure I had no problem finding it at all. She also helped me in extending the check out time little bit. I really appreciate her and all teams efforts. Room was also found clean although I had created a lot of mess. Hotel is new in construction so it gives pleasant stay. The location is one of the best in city. Shanghai railway station and metro station is 5 minutes walking . The Bund , Nanjing pedestrian street is within range of 10-15 minutes. You get a can in few minutes of searching and food places near hotel are open till 1-2 am. Best for solo travellers and business travellers. High speed trains can be taken from Shanghai railway station. Also saw alot of families staying in same hotel. They gave special play area for kids too. I thank all of staff and especially Zhang Vixiao for making this stay so great. When ever I visit next , I will stay here only. Thank you.
