Enjoy a cabin getaway available year round, only 1 hour north of the Twin Cities. Our 2-bedroom, 2-bath vacation rental cabin (sleeps 8-10) is nestled alongside Lake Pokegama in Pine City. It is west-facing and offers beautiful sunset views, an open floor plan including a 4-season porch, and lawn to enjoy bonfires and yard games. Snowmobile trails nearby and ice fishing is steps away. Dock your boat, rent one nearby or use the provided canoe and 2 paddle boards to explore the 1,500-acre lake with 2 restaurants, 2 launches, and access to the Snake River and Cross Lake. The spaceWe have a master bedroom with a comfortable king size bed and smart TV. The “bunk room” has 2-kings and 4-twins to sleep up to 8. Two newly remodeled full bathrooms.Guest accessOur guests have access to entire property except a couple locked areas inside the cabin and garage where we keep personal belongings. We don't rent our pontoon boat or jet ski, but have a few nearby rental options.Other things to noteWe have used a rental management company for 3 years, we had 4.9/5 star rating on VRBO. Now that we are managing ourselves we have to start over with reviews. I have included a few of our guests comments from our guest book in the photos.Lake Pokegama is beautiful year round, but like many Minnesota lakes it can get green by August depending on rain, wind, etc. If swimming around the dock is important to you during your stay, we highly recommend booking in June or July. Otherwise typically deeper water out in the middle of the lake is good for swimming all Summer. Escape to this cabin on picturesque Sand Lake-- take the Paddle Board out and do some swimming & fishing. This cozy retreat features 2 bedrooms - one with a queen bed and the other with a bunk bed. The added sleeping arrangement is a queen sized sofa sleeper in the Living Room. We provide you all the comforts of home; because this is my childhood vacation home-- our motto is: "if its open, use it". So feel free to use up spices, baggies, trash bags, soaps, etc. I stock plenty of bath towels, beach towels, bedding, etc. You will even find a charcoal grill, air fryer, and insta-pot. Please remember that this is my second home; and the decorations and belonging are my families' personal effects and most likely heirlooms. Enjoy Sand Lake and hang out on the new swim-up bench where you can be half in and half out of the water. Bring your clubs & poles as the cabin is nestled between Sand Lake & the Moose Lake Golf Course. It was built by my great grandfather in the 1920s. I am proud that the charm & exposed logs have been loved and well-maintained for nearly a century. Legend has it, that each of the field stones that make up the fireplace were numbered & moved from Duluth to Moose Lake.Moose Lake is such a charming little town-- cute little coffee shops, a brewery, an old time movie theater, etc. The golf course is open to the public and does have club rentals as well; there is also a pontoon rental available at the Sand Lake Resort on the lake.I've been in Moose Lake and the surrounding area my entire life, I'm happy to provide dining suggestions and to-do's!About pets:Pets allowed: limit 2 total.About checkOut:Check out before 11:00 AM.About children:Children allowed: ages 0-17.About customRules:FIREPIT: Transfer ashes from grilll and firepit to the Ash Can; do not remove Firepit from the paver area..About checkIn:Check in after 4:00 PM.About smoking:Smoking is not permitted.About minBookingAge:Minimum age to rent: 18.About events:No events allowed.
