The outdoor kitchen helps you to connect to nature as you brew your morning coffee! Sink with running water, k-cup coffee maker, mini-fridge, cooler and gas grill are just some of the amenities you will enjoy during your stay. You can comfortably enjoy your morning coffee and farm fresh egg breakfast on the covered outdoor kitchen deck on the two person table. Or head over by the fire pit with comfy adirondack chairs. You will have your own free off street parking spot. On the way to the cabin, you will see the porta-potty that is cleaned out weekly and sanitized between each guest. It is stocked with plenty of toilet paper, hand sanitizer, body wipes and sanitizing wipes! Our guests always rave that our porta-potty's are the cleanest they've ever seen.This getaway is perfect for those who are not convinced about camping in a tent just yet but are willing to test the waters in an actual cabin with windows, shades and a door! Nature is calling you but you'd rather sleep with the comfort of solid surroundings and air conditioning or heating. We get it! THIS is for you! So book your stay today....you will not regret it!When the temperatures drop, usually in November, we must turn off the water hose in order to preserve the hose and keep it from freezing. During those times, we suggest bringing in water that you will use on a daily basis. We will provide you with a supply of paper plates, cups and plastic utensils! Water is typically turned back on in April. Unfortunately, we can't say exactly when in April as it truly depends on Mother Nature! Temperatures need to be above 40 degrees for multiple days before we can turn the water back on!While we are located in a neighborhood, cell phone service can be spotty. We personally have not had any issues. A fire pit surrounded by Adirondack chairs at the side of the cabin lets you enjoy the outdoors to the fullest. The Cabin has 3 ductless heat pump units that heat and air-condition the whole cabin, a propane hot water heaters, a drilled well and a full septic system. There's a full house generator that kicks on whenever there's a power outage. Bright and Spacious with huge typical A- Frame windows letting in natural light all day long.Spend the day visiting the local towns (Ellenville, Stone Ridge, Kerhonkson, Accord, Mountaindale and Livingston Manor all less than 30 mins away), get outdoors and go hiking , skiing, biking, or even hang gliding.There are numerous farms and farm stands to buy some delicious local produce as well as wineries, cideries, breweries for tastings and live music/entertainment.In the winter, ski resorts such as Hunter and Wyndham Mountain are also a short drive away for a day on the slopes.Spend the evening relaxing outdoors by the fire pit or in the hot tub while looking up a the mountain stars or head inside and get cosy next to the stove with a hot chocolate!The basement is the fun part!! Street parking is free and plentiful.Other things to noteThis is mountain life…with that comes the wildlife , please be mindful and drive carefully as deer are always on the roads.The cabin is located at the top of a hill, during the winter and in snowy conditions a 4x4 or snow chains is needed as it can get very slippery !There is no A/C during the summer months , we have always got on fine without as temperature drops down at night time. There is a ceiling fan in the main space and plug in fans provided in the bedrooms. About 12 minutes to either Woodstock or Phoenicia. The perfect getaway.There are two bedrooms, both with queen beds. One is on the first floor and the other is on the second floor. So, very comfortable for two couples, the well laid-out space for works for either being together or having privacy.The full bath is on the first floor and has a shower/tub combination. The laundry room is next room over. The living room is large, opening into the dining area by the woodstove, all situated beneath a cathedral ceiling. The kitchen is around the corner--small, but it has everything you need: gas stove, fridge, cookware, and a dishwasher.The Wi-Fi is strong, so working from the cabin is possible. We do have a TV, so you can stream to your heart's content. All linens and towels are supplied, as are bath soap, shampoo, hair conditioner, an individually wrapped kitchen sponge, dishwashing liquid, and dishwasher detergent. All you need to do is bring some groceries, some firewood, and your love of nature.
