"New four star hotel but let down on a number of fronts. Some parts not completed. Some parts completed but potentially hazardous. Owner smoking in the bar area made it uncomfortable plus often noisy kids running around. Cold showers on 5 of the 14 days. Actual room and shower of a very high standard. Staff were very friendly and helpful."

"Beautiful ambiance. Lovingly decorated. Lots of thoughtful details. Very clean, excellent communication with the hostess! Friendly, helpful, and always available. Very clean bathroom, shower with shower gel and shampoo. Towels changed every two days, and cleaning was also done daily! Should you need anything, you'll get it immediately, even outside of the regular schedule. Beach towels (4)! Welcome gift of fruit and wine. Very comfortable beds. Overall, truly top-notch. Shaded balcony, very pleasant in high temperatures. Excellent air conditioning. Great Wi-Fi. Smart TV. Perfect soundproofing. Located right on the square. Lovely atmosphere. Beach 250m away. Many good restaurants right on your doorstep! Everything as pictured on the website. Up-to-date photos. We wholeheartedly recommend it."

"Stayed for 7 days here in Corissia Beach. We didn‘t stay in the main building, we stayed in smaller building with about 9-10 rooms total. It was a good, quiet place for sleep. Hotel has some nice evening shows and animator Amber during day time to do pool activities or yoga and other stuff. If I have an opportunity I will come back some day in the future to this place."

Pilot Amphora Boutique Hotel "Adults Only" ★★★★★
"Overall a really nice and enjoyable 6 nights. Positives: Clean rooms and hotel Spacious (Maisonette) room Good quality food and in the majority very tasty. The 5 course a la carte is plentiful and so are the options at breakfast. Can also use the sister hotel (Pilot Beach Resort) which has its own stretch of beach and free sunbeds - note this is a family resort so lots of young children (predominantly german clientele). The resort is only a 5 min drive away and Amphora offers a free timetabled shuttle service. Close to restaurants and cafes nearby (in Georgioupoli). Irina and the blond lady at dinner (sorry we did not note her name down) were so friendly and accommodating. Negatives: The biggest gripe for us (on a beach holiday) is that towels, shower amenities were not replaced daily. This is an inconvenience when you are showering multiple times a day. A number of TV channels didn't work. Only 2 english speaking news channels. No capability to watch apps in the room i.e. Netflix Although most the staff (including the hotel manager) were friendly, we sensed a couple were disingenuous. This is exacerbated when it's a small hotel."

"This hotel is a gem in Georgioupoli, such a clean hotel/apartment with friendly welcoming staff. It has a lovely pool area which we virtually had to ourselves, very unusual these days. There is a charge for air conditioning and safe but worth paying. With so much on your doorstep i.e restaurants, bars, supermarket, you don’t need to venture far. I would definitely recommend the Athena Hotel and will be returning."

"Simple but perfectly formed! Very clean and friendly staff. Even the air conditioning was quieter than in other hotels. Great location – just a few meters from the sea and the town center. We stayed there without breakfast, and it was fantastic! Highly recommended!!!"

"Absolutely fabulous from start to finish. We had initially booked Corissia beach, however upon arrival, we were upgraded to Corissia princess, this was certainly a great start to the holiday. The hotel its self is very clean, comfortable and is positioned directly across from the beach. It has a Spa, indoor & outdoor swimming pool and a roof top lounge bar that has magnificent sea views. We chose to go half board and was certainly not disappointed. The choice of food is vast, very well prepared and tasted amazing. I looked forward to my meals, wondering what would be on the buffet each day. I never tired of the food, there was such a choice and to make the experience even better, the restaurant has amazing views. Now the best part of this holiday was the staff. They are so warm, kind and extremely hard working. They go above and beyond to make your stay a brilliant one. I could not thank them enough. Whilst on holiday, It was my birthday and I was pleasantly surprised at breakfast with a cake, candle and staff singing happy birthday, later that evening, a card and an individual sized bottle of prosecco was delivered to my room. The following morning was Easter Sunday and despite Easter being a week later in Greece, the tables at breakfast were beautifully decorated with a lovely card and chocolate gifts. Then to top it off, when checking out, we were gifted with a lovely bottle of olive oil. It was alreay a fabulous holiday and these extras, just made it all the more special. The area itself is beautiful, and has a lovely peaceful feeling. Very convenient for visiting Chania and Rethymnon. I would definitely 100% stay here again. Loved every minute, even if it did rain most days 😊"
