"I specifically came to Koh Phi Phi this time to experience the slow-paced island life of the locals, and I absolutely fell in love with this island! The little cats wandering everywhere on the streets were well-behaved and friendly, letting you pet them without fear.
We randomly found a local travel agency and booked a pirate ship tour for 1800 Thai Baht, which was an amazing experience! We boarded at 12 PM and returned at 7 PM. This route only caters to island residents, so you don't have to deal with the large crowds from Phuket, making the experience completely different and much more comfortable.
Compared to the bustling and noisy Phuket, Koh Phi Phi's overall atmosphere is much more relaxed. Instead of just recommending this hotel, I'd suggest that anyone visiting Phuket should definitely spend a night on Koh Phi Phi! The quality of hotels on the island doesn't vary much; generally, you get what you pay for. Accommodation is just a temporary stop; the true joy of Koh Phi Phi is never about the hotel itself.
If you prefer a quiet, relaxing, and crowd-free vacation, then the northern part of Koh Phi Phi is highly recommended! The entire area is filled with high-end luxury hotels, most of which have private beaches, offering excellent privacy. Our stay this time was around Tonsai Pier, which is the most popular and lively core area of the island. You can choose between these two different vacation vibes according to your preference."

"The environment and scenery at Saii Phi Phi Island are absolutely stunning, no complaints there. However, getting there was quite a hassle. Definitely avoid arriving at the hotel in the afternoon. The shallow beach by the hotel entrance experiences a significant low tide, so the speedboat has to anchor quite far out at sea. You then have to transfer to a smaller boat, and still walk a long stretch of sandy beach. We waited on the sea from around 1 PM and didn't make it to the hotel until 3 PM. The check-in process was incredibly slow; we waited another hour and finally got into our room past 4 PM. There's no such issue when departing the island at midday, as the speedboat can dock directly at the hotel's small pier. The service was average, but breakfast was pretty good. We booked a spa session, and it offered decent value for money."

"I scoured through all the hotels on Koh Phi Phi before finally settling on this one. It was quite a journey – during the Chinese New Year, it showed no availability, and I even emailed the hotel to confirm they were fully booked. But then, one day, luck smiled upon me and a room suddenly appeared, which I immediately booked! The hotel isn't right by the pier, which is great as it avoids the noisy bars that go on till late, yet it's still close enough to the pier. It's a mere 10-minute walk for transport, going out for snorkeling, or diving. The hotel also offers its own half-day boat tours, with direct boarding from the beach right in front, which is super convenient and very reasonably priced. The environment is simply stunning – a tranquil and cozy tropical rainforest villa. The pool, breakfast restaurant, and beach are all beautiful. The staff are warm and friendly, and their attention to detail is evident everywhere. Looking at other reviews, besides one overly dramatic negative comment, all others are overwhelmingly positive. The only drawback was that the shower water was a bit cold. It's a shame I only stayed for two nights. You can get a more visual sense from the pictures."

"The best hotel in Thailand. We suffered for the first 3 night in another hotel on Phi Phi and we couldn’t sleep coz of the loud noises from the beach parties but then we moved to U Rip and it was th best decision ever - clean, new, SILENCE, nice pool and great area far from the parties. But still accessible coz it is like 15 min walk. Totally recommend especially if you are a light sleeper 👌"

"This was a wonderful place to stay. Amazing views and friendly staff. Great breakfast buffet (if you get the choice, it's worth signing up for it). Cats roaming the property and island; great if you're a cat lover like me- if not, no worries, they pretty much leave you alone unless you seek their attention. The only drawback I have is that no matter how many people stay in the room, you get only one key. This is because the key is inserted into a ”socket: that powers the air and lights. Conservation is important for resources on the island. They will, however, let your other roomies in any time, day or night, by stopping by the front desk. If you're not used to it, be aware that Thai beds in general are very firm. Not much padding."

"The hotel location is absolutely amazing, Breathtaking views, quiet, relaxing, Natural, access to snorkelling. The food they had in the hotel: some of it was really really good, and some of it was not so good. The only weakness is the fact that the logistics to get there by boat are quite complicated ~ I found a single fast boat provider which can directly access the resort but they only have one boat a day all the rest require you to stop and switch companies in the middle. Once i found out which food in the resort was better i ordered that more frequently. If you wait for low tide you can walk along the beach to get to the village and avoid the other resort but during high tide that's impossible. A staff were very good and provided access to snorkeling equipment were happy to help you drive up the steep mountain and even helped with luggage whenever needed (We always walked down, but the walk back up was hard, and were happy for their service). 酒店地理位置绝对令人惊叹，景色令人叹为观止，安静、放松、自然，可以浮潜。他们在酒店吃的食物：有些真的很好，有些不太好。唯一的弱点是，乘船到达那里的物流非常复杂~我找到了一家快速船供应商，可以直接进入度假村，但他们每天只有一艘船，其余的都需要你在在中间停下来换公司。一旦我发现度假胜地的哪些食物更好，我就更频繁地点。如果你等待退潮，你可以沿着海滩走到村庄，避开其他度假胜地，但在涨潮时这是不可能的。工作人员非常好，提供浮潜设备。他们很乐意帮助你开车上山，甚至在需要的时候帮忙拿行李（我们总是走下去，但走回去很难，我们很高兴他们的服务）。"

"On the 25th, I was checking out at 10:30 AM. I had trouble understanding the English spoken by one of the two receptionists, an older woman who seemed to be in a higher position. She then looked me up and down, shook her head, and said something in Thai to her colleague, mentioning 'Japanese' and some other words. I do resemble a Japanese person. Although I didn't understand the exact words, it felt like she was being dismissive and insulting me because I couldn't understand her English. This ****** encounter with the older receptionist on the last day of my vacation has left a bad taste in my mouth, and even a day later, I'm still upset. Not everyone in the world speaks fluent English, and not speaking English doesn't give you the right to disrespect me. Conversely, imagine if you were on vacation in another country, spending your precious time and money, and were disrespected because of your accent or pronunciation. Would your vacation still be enjoyable? If you're not fluent in English, I definitely do not recommend this place. There are plenty of other accommodations available."

"It is definitely a good place to stay for five or six days! I feel that it is the most charming residence on Phi Phi Island, with a seaside cabin, close to nature, walking barefoot on the soft and white beach every day, blowing the sea breeze, and directly entering the relaxation and vacation mode. And the hotel is very quiet. In the morning, you can hear the birds singing and slowly get up, and then have a perfect breakfast. In the afternoon, you can take a nap in your room semi-outdoors and sit in a daze. Occasionally, a small family of three monkeys will visit your room, take some fruit and run away. The hotel's dining is the most upscale choice on this island. The cocktails are first-class, and the lamb chops are great! The spa is also lovely. The service level of the entire hotel is first-class and enthusiastic. Several employees, such as Ms. Ping, speak Chinese very well👍, and the general manager Mr. Becker can also speak some Chinese! In short, it is a perfect resort on Phi Phi Island."

"Great location if you’re looking for peace and quiet away from the crowds. If you miss the hustle and bustle or want to visit the clubs, you can take a private taxi boat to Tonsai for about 1,000 THB one way.
We stayed in the Ocean Sunset Room. Just a heads-up: it’s located on a hill, about a 10-minute walk from the beach. Hotel has free buggy shuttle between 6:00-22:00. However, it's the perfect spot for sunset lovers since you can't actually see the sunset from the beach itself. Great value for couples! The private pool offers total privacy (perfect for swimming naked! :) )and an amazing view of the sun going down.
The room was spacious and clean with a nice balcony, but it felt a bit dated. The main issue was the water pressure in the shower - it was extremely low, which was disappointing considering the price.
Breakfast was okay, pretty standard. If you’re looking for a great meal nearby, check out a local restaurant called 'Banyan' -delicious food, fair prices, and excellent service."

The best aspects were the location and the buffet. It's just a 2-minute walk from the pier, and the hotel's street connects the bay to the beach. On the downside, it definitely needs more cleaning (the fans haven't been cleaned in at least a decade) and the rooms should be fumigated.
