"I'd stayed in Phi Phi North before, but this time I chose Koh Phi Phi Don. The resort is super easy to get to, just a 3-minute walk to the left from the pier. It's a massive resort, and the two cats at the front desk were so gentle and cute! From the comfort of your bed, you're treated to an unbeatable ocean view! Breakfast was incredibly varied and even included plain congee. The pool offers stunning views of Long Beach. It's easy to book longtail boat tours for island hopping right outside the resort. The main street has self-service laundry facilities and a plethora of dining options, plus the 7-Eleven here surprisingly boasts a wider variety of items than those in Bangkok! You can also go scuba diving, and even seniors in their 70s can hike up to Viewpoint 2 for breathtaking panoramic views!"

"Good location that is slightly away from the busiest streets. Doesn't prevent from hearing music from the nearby club at night however, although I suspect it depends on where your bungalow is, ours was closest to the busy part. But the view is nice, it's not loud during the day and the room is great. It looks new, its spacious, AC and water all work well. There is a safe. Some stairs to get to the bungalow like other reviews said, its inconvenient especially with large luggage but not bad walking to and from your bungalow every day. Internet was extremely spotty and on many nights didn't connect at all."

"We had a truly wonderful stay at Chaokoh Phi Phi Hotel & Resort. From the moment we arrived, the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, making us feel welcome and well taken care of throughout our visit. The hotel is perfectly located on the island—just a short walk from the pier and surrounded by great restaurants, which made exploring Phi Phi both easy and enjoyable. Our room offered a beautiful garden view, and being near the pool added to the relaxing atmosphere. The rooms themselves were spacious, comfortable, and kept spotlessly clean, which made our stay even more pleasant. Everything felt well maintained and thoughtfully arranged. Overall, this hotel provided the perfect balance of convenience and tranquility. "The biggest plus is the location. It's a 400m walk from the pier. The room is average, nothing fancy. Small but cozy. The bathroom is also tiny, you can't really move around if there are two people. The shower is just a hole, but there's hot water. It's a standard room. The grounds are beautiful. But the pool, that's just fantastic! There's a big pool and a smaller one for kids. The views from the pool out to the sea are also great."

"Upon arrival, things got off to a bit of a rough start. Room 210, while advertised with a sea view, had a very limited one, which wasn't a huge deal. The most unpleasant part was the leaky pipe by the toilet. My request to switch rooms with the front desk wasn't successful. After adjusting my mindset and accepting it, it was fine—the water was clean anyway, and I was there to relax, so no need to dwell on it. However, I do recommend the hotel renovates soon, otherwise, it's a waste of such a beautiful location. Summary: 1. The facilities are indeed old. The exterior looks okay, but the interior is too basic. Friends accustomed to five-star hotels might find it hard to adapt. I had to comfort my child and convince myself, but once I accepted it, it was fine. 2. If you want a true, unobstructed sea view room, be sure to communicate with the hotel beforehand. Only rooms starting with '1' will do. The higher the room number, the higher up the hill it is, so be prepared for a cardio workout every time you head back to your room. 3. The service was generally good. I didn't feel any prejudice or mistreatment towards Chinese guests. The porters who helped with luggage were the best. 4. Cat lovers will overlook all the negatives and fall in love with this place, just like my son. He initially complained about everything, but after bribing many cats with cat food to hang out on our balcony, he was very sad to leave."

"Great location, good for swimming at the beach and viewing the mountain behind the resort. The service was great - i did a late booking yet they came to offer me a bed despite passing their working hours. Its like 10 min work to the social area and i love the walk in and out cos it helps me to have my 30 min of exercise :). The only issue i had was that i saw a crab in my room one evening but it was okay - harmless. Had a good time relaxing and working."

"I stayed for 6 nights and experienced three different room types. I stayed twice in a partial sea view villa, which I think might be the most suitable room type at the resort. The layout is quite reasonable, the facilities have been maintained, and there was little to no odor in the restroom. The location is elevated, offering absolutely stunning views. The beach is very clean, and the seawater is crystal clear. It’s a great place to quietly relax and unwind. The overall environment is lovely, situated at the southernmost tip of Long Beach. It's mostly hotel guests, with few outside visitors, making it much quieter compared to Koh Phi Phi. The front desk service was excellent; you can request a car anytime, and they are quite efficient. The restaurant supervisor, Jingdan, speaks Chinese. He is very humble, warm, and helpful. I asked him to help me find a cardboard box for packing, and he patiently assisted until he found a suitable one. When I couldn't find some items, he also enthusiastically helped me search, which was very heartwarming. There's also another beach behind the mountain with very few tourists; it's worth checking out. Drawbacks: Transportation to go out is inconvenient. To leave, you need to take a small boat, which costs 100 baht per person one way during the day and 150 baht at night. Considering this, I ended up eating all my meals at the hotel restaurant. The food tasted good, and I enjoyed it. The rooms are built along the mountain, and the slope is quite steep. Walking up and down can be difficult, so for the elderly or those with mobility issues, this place might not be the best choice. Although the hotel offers shuttle service, it still felt inconvenient."

"I stayed here during my trip to Koh Phi Phi, and first off, the location is unbeatable! It's super convenient to get anywhere, and even though the facilities are a bit old, they were clean. Any issues I had were quickly addressed, and they provided all the services you'd expect, like cleaning and luggage storage. Given that accommodations on Koh Phi Phi are generally a bit older, I went in with that expectation and was very satisfied overall! I'd love to stay here again on my next trip. Had a great stay!"

"This was a really cute bungalow on the beach, which added to our experience of staying on Phi Phi. However, the bed was rock hard and the air con kept switching itself off in the night so we kept waking up sweating! The light from it was also really bright so I had to wear an eye mask to sleep. You can also hear the whole island from your hut, and a lot of the Thai residents were working at night nearby, so it was very noisy and required ear plugs! There were lots of little bugs in the woodwork mainly, the shower wasn’t great and got the bathroom very wet. Also, any trips or taxi boats were quite expensive from the woman at reception, we managed to get a 4hr private long tail for 2300baht total. A lot of these things were to be expected, and isn’t too much of a complaint against the resort itself, but something for you to bear in mind when choosing to stay here."

"I chose this hotel after walking past it earlier and seeing the pool from the outside. It looked nice enough to convince me to stay here. Unfortunately, that turned out to be a mistake. It seems that this hotel and next to it the Phi Phi Andaman Beach Resort Is the same hotel with the same management just with different name To start with the positives — the staff are polite and helpful. Someone waited for us and other at the pier when we arrived with the ferry ⛴️ and helped transport the luggage to the hotel (about a 15-minute walk). Reception staff were friendly as well. That’s appreciated — but also fairly standard service in this area, Breakfast is acceptable there is enough variety to satisfy basic hunger. However, there is no proper coffee machine and the bread selection is disappointing. The baguette, for example, was dry. On the positive side, the dining area has a beautiful sea view. Honestly, the view is more satisfying than the food itself. The hotel itself is clearly neglected. The grass is burned and not maintained, trees and bushes are not trimmed, and the overall property looks like it hasn’t been properly cared for in a long time. The room lighting in the room is very poor. The bed is acceptable but the bathroom lighting is extremely weak I couldn't see myself shaving and the water pressure is barely enough for a normal shower. The air conditioner also works weakly and noisy Honestly, it’s hard to understand how management feels comfortable selling rooms in this condition. If the hotel doesn’t care about its guests, why should guests care about the hotel? Luckily, I booked only one night to test the place first. I’m leaving and moving somewhere else. And the pool the reason I chose this hotel in the first place was the biggest disappointment. The water is very warm and smells strongly of chlorine, tiles inside the pool are missing or broken, the internal steps feel unsafe, some chairs are torn, and some areas of the synthetic carpet are ripped. So yes — the pool looks nice from the outside. Just don’t make the mistake of getting closer."
