Jeju Hostels

"Jeju bus terminal stop-beware of the separate blue and green bus stop so you wont missed your bus. Naver map and Tmoney help your journey around Jeju. Mr. Peter, himself, messaged me first through trip.com about the time I will be there at their place, which I was hesitant to do that but luckily, he did and that was surprising. Also, he let me leave my luggage in advance. Staff speaks English well and hospitable. As soon as you check in, staff will provide the stuff you needed for your stay in the room plus the indoor slipper to switch with your outdoor shoes to be placed in the closet at the entrance. NO elevator but the girl staff offered to carry my luggage to the room. There is an area in the 2nd floor for dining—designated place to eat—with microwave, water dispenser, dishes and utensils, fridge and freezer, you can cook and wash your dishes. There is a small area designated for reading/relaxing in the 3rd floor, where the entrance to the rooftop(to watch Hallasan sunset and for 8pm projector movie night). 2nd floor for male guests while 3rd fl for females. Sleeping room(is really for sleeping, no room to stretch only in your bed—is very comfortable with one outlet and a lamp) is separate from the shower area with slippers(washbasin/sink and enclosed shower stalls-body wash & shampoo) from the toilet stalls and from the powder/mirror area with hairdryer. If you have a small to medium luggage, you can store it under the bunkbed. There are lockers in every room (a normal school backpack could fit). Walking distance to Yongduam Rock to Yeongyon Bridge to boardwalk for coastal walks—great cafes to watch waves & landing planes and local resto—to Jungang Shopping Street to Jungang Underground Mall to Dongmun Market. If you like mochi, next door of the Mir is delicious and affordable Jeju Mochi which is priced twice in the airport. Convenience stores (7-eleven next door), chicken&fries and local resto around the corner. Mr. Peter met him during the breakfast. He prepared the breakfast—egg sandwich which comes w/black coffee or orange juice. He is nice and approachable. The Mir Guesthouse’s is designed from the Yongduam Rock, it is cool, clean, and magnificent. Solo traveling is fun—meeting new faces, different nationalities, cultures, and witness the amazing nature’s wonder."

"Check-in at 5am, check-out at 10am lol The manager spends all day playing games in the common area. It's incredibly inconvenient. It was the most expensive guesthouse I've stayed at in Jeju Island, considering it was off-season. The check-in and check-out times were... lol The common areas were uncomfortable to use. Terraces usually have blankets, but there weren't any. More importantly, the chairs outside were so dirty I didn't even want to sit. The management was terrible... I won't go back."

"First off, I was traveling solo and found that most hotels and guesthouses were quite expensive, making it not worth it for just one person. I then stumbled upon this Sum hotel on Xiaohongshu, and it looked pretty clean and hygienic – which it truly was in reality! ¹**Location:** Right outside the hotel, there's a bus stop and a long-distance bus station, which is incredibly convenient for getting around. I used the public bus for all my transportation during my stay. ²**Environment:** The ground floor has a lobby with a kitchen, a restroom, and seating. I found it to be very clean, with no unpleasant odors. The room itself was standard, and the bathroom also had no weird smells. The shower area and where you change shoes are clearly separated, which is great. ³**Check-in & Amenities:** Check-in is only available in the afternoon, but it's a straightforward process. They'll clearly explain the rules and provide you with detailed key and password information. Breakfast is served from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM, and I thought it was pretty good – toast, eggs, and free coffee! Excellent! The second floor is where the rooms are located. I stayed in a 6-bed dormitory with bunk beds. The bed frame was a bit old and creaked a little, but it wasn't overly exaggerated. One minor downside is that other guests' schedules might differ from yours, so you might get disturbed. It's even worse if you end up with a snorer! I'd recommend bringing an eye mask and earplugs. The staff were all very enthusiastic. You need to change into slippers before entering the room; they provide them, but if you're a germaphobe, you might want to bring your own. The shower area is wet/dry separated. I didn't use their towels, so you might want to bring your own. The common area has a large mirror, and there are hair dryers and curling irons available, which is super convenient."

"Located right next to the Jeju Bus Terminal, the location is excellent, with many airport bus lines nearby. It's somewhat like a hostel; check-in is simple. Eating and smoking are not allowed in the rooms. There's a common dining area in the lobby with an electric kettle, basic tableware, and internet access. Free hot and cold water is provided. Check-out is straightforward; just leave the key at the front desk. The facilities are a bit basic. The bathroom light broke the next day; it was repaired in the morning and fixed in the afternoon. The refrigerator's temperature control switch was faulty and fell off, causing it to stop cooling for the first two days. After some troubleshooting, it finally worked. There were no sheets, only a mattress pad; is this typical for Korean hotels? The room's heating system likely uses underfloor heating, as the air conditioner didn't blow hot air, but there was a temperature control for the underfloor heating, making the room very warm. For tourists with modest expectations, this is a good choice, and the price is reasonable."

"The bed was very good and comfortable. The location is also very convenient in terms of transportation. I stayed alone but felt comfortable. The only downside was that there was no kettle or glasses. I had to get them myself from the table outside. Don't forget to bring your own glasses!"

"The location is good. You can take souvenir pictures as you walk beside the seaside. About the room, doors should be fixed and the towels should be clean and make sure to have good smell. But the cleaner is kind hearted."

"Although the location is a bit far from the city center, the sea view is stunning. There are also convenience stores and great food options nearby, which is very convenient. The room amenities are also well-stocked. I would definitely consider staying here again."

"The room was very clean and you had to take off your shoes before entering. We arrived early for check-in, and the landlady and uncle also checked us in, free of charge. The uncle also gave us drinks and helped clean the room every day. The landlady told us how to find food and shopping in the city, which was very enjoyable. The landlady spoke very good Chinese and was also a tour guide. Staying here is very cost-effective and I'm very happy. I would recommend it to my friends next time."

"I hesitated a lot to go to the hotel or to go to Geha, but I chose Geha because I wanted to feel more Jeju. I just thought, the first time I entered Geha, this house would be as comfortable as my home. I came to a big house. Shampoo rinse body wash and towels were all available and the bed was comfortable so I could rest well. There was a convenience store on the way to ~! There was also a bus to Hamdeok!"

"The room is very clean and spacious. The cleaning is better than that of a hotel. It is very comfortable to stay and feels like home. The floor is heated. It is very relaxing to sit at the small table on the floor and eat snacks at night in winter. The bed has an electric blanket and a pot in the room. It is fully furnished and can be used as a studio. In addition, the room provides a lot of sockets, at least eight. There is no elevator, so you have to carry your luggage upstairs. The balcony overlooks the sea. The kitchen and the small single bedside window are close to the road, so there will be some traffic noise, but it will be much quieter in the middle of the night. Overall, it is still good. I highly recommend this B&B. Although it is not a self-driving tour, there are buses nearby for easy travel. It is within walking distance from Xihua. There are many restaurants there. On the way there, you will pass Daiso, Olive Young, Starbucks and Burger King. Next time you come to the Northeast Coast Would also like to stay here again.
