I stayed for 6 days, and it was my first time staying in an overseas hostel! Regarding amenities, nothing is provided, so you need to bring your own shampoo, body wash, etc. There are only showers. The cleanliness depends on the room you're in. My room was a bit messy because I was sharing it with someone who had been staying there for a long time. The hallway had boots and shoes from guests, but it wasn't inconvenient to walk through.
The communal kitchen and lobby were great for relaxing, which I really appreciated. There's also an exclusive guest area on the first floor where you can play games or eat. Since I was traveling solo this time, I didn't usually use it, but I found out about it when I had dinner with my roommate once. The reception staff were polite, energetic, and made for a pleasant experience.
It was also possible to store luggage after check-out; it was set up so you could put your bags in a luggage room yourself.

The accommodations are satisfactory, but several straightforward enhancements could significantly improve the overall guest experience. Specifically, the inclusion of functional drawers, a practical wardrobe, and a modern television with Wi-Fi and the capability to access personal streaming subscriptions (e.g., Netflix, Prime) would be beneficial. Furthermore, incorporating a small table to utilize the enclosed balcony and upgrading the plastic outdoor chairs at the dining table would enhance the amenities.
Positive aspects include complimentary parking and convenient access to major roadways. The proximity to the central business district (CBD), a 10-15 minute walk, and nearby bus services are also advantageous. The kitchen is functional with basic cooking equipment, but again cooking oil especially for short term guests would be appreciated by guests. The environment is generally quiet and conducive to a hassle-free stay.
I would consider a return visit if discounted rates are available. However, at the current pricing, which can be perceived as elevated, I would likely explore alternative options.

Location was fantastic. It was minutes away from Perth train station and busport, malls and supermarkets. Facilities-wise, the hotel interior definitely looked way older than the pictures. The wooden floor creaks with every step I take. The power plugs were located and hidden at weird parts of the room. I had to use the electric kettle in the bathroom. The TV remote control does not work, there were only 2-3 watchable channels depending on luck with the TV reception. The toiletries provided was just a tube of shampoo and a small bar of soap for my 5 nights stay,
The bathroom was very clean and spotless, only problem is the leaky taps. The room and sheets and towels were clean as well, except the carpet felt icky. Would be good to have some indoor slippers.
The receptionist could be more friendly in his appearance and tone. I appreciated that he allowed me to deposit my luggage earlier and also to check in early at 1pm. But the way I was spoken to was very transactional and something he wanted to get done with. For example, I was not informed of the free wifi in the hotel until I asked about it.

I am writing this to warn other travelers about a major security and privacy failure we experienced at Duxton Hotel WA.
Upon returning to our room at 8:55 PM, we were shocked to find our room door fully open and propped up with a wooden door wedge. Our room was located near the elevator, meaning our personal belongings and privacy were completely exposed to every passerby for nearly 5 hours (housekeeping finished at 4:30 PM).
The most disappointing part was the management's response. They admitted the mistake but refused a refund, justifying it by saying ”CCTV showed no one entered” and ”nothing was stolen.” This logic is absurd. Security is about prevention, not just reporting after a crime occurs. Whether or not someone entered is a matter of LUCK, but leaving the door open was a total failure of their ”Duty of Care.”
They offered a bottle of wine and breakfast, which we declined as it felt like a dismissive gesture for such a serious security issue. If you value your privacy and safety, think twice before staying here. A 5-star hotel should not have a 0-star security protocol.

Our stay was great. The Belgian Beer Cafe was amazing. Friendly staff, fun happy environment. Trip however are ****. We will definitely be booking for a discounted price through the actual hotel itself . We only used trip because of a previous mishap with our accommodation for a different venue and they would not offer a refund or exchange dates. Only Trip.com coins which was in no even close to being adequate. Belgian Beer cafe and the nightcap hotel were bloodt amazing. Trip.com a total fail.

The room was wide and pretty, beds were comfortable as well. The place is close to supermarket and free transportation.
However, there was a flooding issue in our bathroom (maybe due to the drainage pipe) and also the shower head had a dripping issue. Staff were helpful to help us fix the dripping, however it started to drip again at night.
Other than the issue above, the stay was pleasant, and I would recommend staying here if the bathroom issue could be improved.

I had a wonderful stay at Four Points by Sheraton in Perth! The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming throughout my visit. The breakfast was enjoyable, though I would suggest rotating the menu occasionally—since I stayed for six days, having the same options each morning became a bit repetitive.
The location is very convenient, with the CBD just a 10-minute walk away. We also loved starting our mornings with a jog to Elizabeth Quay or the Blue Boat House—it was a beautiful way to begin the day!

Great
AAnonymous UserThe environment and facilities are excellent. We even received complimentary handmade chocolates upon check-in. As for the price, I managed to snag a 3-night consecutive stay package during a Ctrip promotion, which worked out to saving ¥1,000 per day! There's a large free parking lot, and it's about a 6-minute walk back to the hotel.
GGuest UserThe location is in the city - easy to find, however on the weekends the city centre is all but closed.
The hotel did not reply to my emails before arriving with questions and requests for my stay.
They provide filtered water in the restaurant which is great, however housekeeping never removed the bottles when they cleaned. They also changed my towels each day - despite the sign saying to leave them on the hook if you didn't want them changed.
The bed was extremely soft and not comfortable and the pillows were lumpy and too big.
Overall it was ok, clean enough and easy to find but I wouldn't return.
MMachineryWe enjoyed our stay when we started our trip to Perth and very happily to return at the end of our trip a month later. We love Quest and it’s our preferred place to stay wherever we travel. The facilities standard is consistent throughout the chain and we can easily make it our home.
We also like the location as it’s next to the Jacob’s ladder that leads to King’s Park. The free laundry including the laundry detergent is great. Kitchen equipped with cooktop, oven, microwave and dishwasher are also my favourite. The parking deal is very good $25/24 hours at the nearby Wilson Carpark (10 mins) walk as the street parking is $6.70/hour.
GGuest UserAlthough the hotel is a bit old, the facilities are very well-maintained, some even looking brand new. I read online that parking was $65, but that's actually just for the area in front of the hotel lobby. I asked a bellboy and found out there's a free parking lot not far behind the hotel, which was great! They also have a heated pool, but I was too tired to try it on my first day. The bed was incredibly comfortable! 😊
GGuest UserThe twin beds can be combined, which is great for a family of three with a child. Half of the automatic curtains in the room weren't working, and the curtains didn't block out enough light. The water pressure in the bathroom was stable, the bedding was good, and the air conditioning cooled sufficiently. The front desk offered Chinese-speaking service during the day, and they were very patient.
GGuest UserCourtesy bus service from all airport terminal, excellent restaurant. Rooms are well equipped and exceptionally clean
Staff are always available to with a smile
Definitely worth booking if you’re begging or ending your vacation
GGuest UserWe always enjoy our stay at the Great Eastern. It is in a great location a and the rooms are clean and comfortable. I would recommend the Great Eastern.
AAnonymous UserHotel doesn't look like freshly renovated. Room was ok. Quite basic if you are not asking much. Were given dirty towel one day and requested for a change. Took two phone calls to reception to get that. Other times, calls to receptions were unanswered or long. Carpark nearby so convenient. There is also Coles nearby and convenience stores and fast food nearby.
JJ Williard Marriott laowanhaoWell equipped and modern, shows high design quality and low-profile luxury.
Very close to UWA and embraces fascinating bay-view in room.
Service is above average, a Mandarin young lady at reception really helpful.
F&B well done, especially bf.
Room is well maintained and keeps hygiene, shows aesthetics of minimalism.
GGuest UserOverall, the hotel is pretty good, but the facilities definitely need an upgrade. We were assigned room 804, and on the day we checked in, it was about 36 degrees Celsius outside. The air conditioning in our room was broken, but we didn't realize it at first. We thought maybe it was just slow to cool down since the room faced west. However, after two hours, the room was still hot and stuffy. We promptly called the front desk, and when the receptionist came in, even he was surprised. Initially, he thought we might have set the AC incorrectly, but after checking, he confirmed it wasn't user error – the AC was indeed broken. The front desk then reported our situation to the manager, and they moved us to a room with two separate bedrooms, which I guess was compensation for enduring two hours of extreme heat. The breakfast selection isn't huge, but it's well-balanced and nutritious. The hotel's location is also quite good, making it very convenient for getting around.
Some top places to stay in Perth are near popular attractions like Elizabeth Quay and The Bell Tower—so you can quickly get to top landmarks and amenities you need.
