"An honest, decent, and well-managed hotel. It's functional, without being overly fancy, but just what's needed. The breakfast is good. The reception is very attentive, without exception, as are all the staff. The cleanliness is a highlight... it's simple and efficient. I like this hotel, the atmosphere, and the staff's treatment in particular. The rooms aren't large, but they're very functional. The location is excellent, with all kinds of shops nearby. In short, I have nothing negative to say about it, and that's probably why I continue Thanks Hotel honesto. Decente e bem administrado. é funcional, sem exageros, mas como o que é necessário. "A decent, budget-friendly hotel in a central location, making it easy to get around on foot. It's not in a particularly attractive area, but it's perfectly adequate for a short stay and an overnight stay. Breakfast was good; I recommend going early, as it gets quite crowded after 10:30 and can be uncomfortable. The staff was average and polite. There was no shampoo in the room. Overall, a good option for the price and location if you're not looking for luxury."

"Great hotel with restaurants and shops nearby. The selaron steps, pyramid cathedral etc are 10-15mins walking distance from the hotel. Fantastic staff at the hotel who are super helpful and informative. The room was big and clean, with a street/city view, and the shower room was a little on the small side but functional. Breakfast at the hotel was decent with a range of options available. I’m a vegetarian and had enough to eat. The hotel provides free coffee and free fruit infused water downstairs in the lobby area, which is an added bonus. A taxi from the airport to the hotel, and back again, should only cost you 70 riais at most each way, which was around £12/$14/€15. Would defo recommend this hotel. Thank you again :-)"

"Good location just one minute walk from Praça Tiradentes in the historic city centre. The hotel is old and needs some refurbishment. WiFi signal was poor. Nice bathroom. The mattresses were old. Considering the cheap price including free breakfast, I would stay there again."

"Great location, but several areas need improvement Arosa Hotel has a great location, right in the heart of Lapa, close to many small local restaurants, bakeries, supermarkets, and various stores. It’s very easy to get around — in short, the location is excellent. The rooms are spacious, which is definitely a plus. However, several aspects of the service could be improved. Our check-in experience was particularly unpleasant. We were a group of four, and upon arrival, their system was down. Instead of offering a simple or practical solution, the receptionists — who were quite unfriendly and unhelpful — asked us to scan a QR code and complete a long online form. The form included a number of unnecessary questions, more than what one would typically be asked at immigration when entering Brazil. Additionally, the internet did not work at all during our stay. While this didn’t seem to bother local guests, it was a real inconvenience for us as international visitors. Lastly, while the hotel gives off a grand appearance at first glance, the overall structure could really use some updates and maintenance. To sum up: great potential and excellent location, but the guest experience needs serious attention."

"The hotel is located very close to Lapa (it's good that it's close, but be aware that there will be noise from the surrounding area). The hotel offers good value for money, the structure is a bit old, the room is spacious, and the breakfast is okay. I will return because the location and price are good for me."

"I couldn't check in early at 12:30, but they told me around 13:20 that I was ready, which was nice. The location is great, connected to the airport. However, the reception is at the very back, so it's a bit of a walk. It's a very large hotel; the rooms and hallways smelled a bit of disinfectant. There were quite a few people on the rooftop. P1/P2 show the view from the rooftop."

"The hotel is dated, but well-maintained. Daily cleaning. There was even a sauna in the room, although it wasn't working. The room was large and spacious, with a giant shower. Breakfast was standard for Brazil: fruit (papaya, pineapple, melon, watermelon, bananas, and even peaches and plums early in the morning), bread/rolls, cheese, ham, and even fish pie, scrambled eggs, cereal, and yogurt. The location was good; it's quite safe to walk around, although you should always be on your guard. Flamingo Beach is nice, with clean water, better than Copa and Ipanema. It's a short walk to the famous colored stairs, Lapa, and the city center. The only unpleasant thing was at the end: they charged me for water, which I didn't even have in my room. Naturally, I said I didn't drink anything, and they didn't charge me. Check these items immediately upon arrival."
