Excellent location! It's super convenient to get here – just transfer from the airport line to Line 5, and the hotel is less than 20 meters from the subway exit. There are also great local spots nearby like Daoxiangcun and Heyan Roubing. It's the perfect choice for travelers stopping over in Beijing, and the price is incredibly good value for money, especially for this area. The rooms are well-equipped with smart toilets and memory foam mattresses. A special shout-out to the front desk staff – instead of young women, there were two handsome guys who were incredibly professional and enthusiastic. When I arrived late at night, I called the front desk for directions, and one of the guys actually came out to meet me! 🤝🤝🤝🤝

Qiu Guo Four-Courtyard Hotel is located at No. 64, Li Shi Hutong, Dongcheng District, Beijing, which has a history of 700 years. Situated in the heart of the capital city, it belongs to the Qiu Guo Hotel Group. The hotel’s surroundings are a blend of historical and cultural sites and modern commercial facilities. It is within walking distance of Wangfujing Street and is close to Tiananmen Square, Temple of Heaven, Palace Museum, Yonghe Temple, Gongfu Palace, Xichao Lake, China Art Museum, Nanluoguxiang, and many other attractions. The location is strategic and convenient for travel. Li Shi Hutong was known as “Sheep Market Hutong” during the Ming and Qing dynasties. Later, it was renamed “Li Shi” based on its phonetic similarity, symbolizing the concept of “courteousness towards scholars and humble servants.” This area was once the former residence of Liu Yong, a prominent scholar during the Qing Dynasty. Prominent figures such as Bin Jun, the magistrate of Wuchang during the late Qing Dynasty, also lived here. The hutong is home to numerous grand mansions, showcasing rich cultural heritage. The 64th courtyard served as the office of the Indonesian embassy’s military attaché and later became the location of the China Youth Daily newspaper’s headquarters, highlighting its diverse historical layers. The hotel, established in 2015, is themed around “Hutong Four-in-One · Beijing’s Vernacular Charm of the Republic of China.” It skillfully integrates modern facilities and design while preserving the traditional layout and historical character of the courtyard houses. The 29 boutique rooms feature various types of beds, including king-size, double, loft, and family rooms, offering comfort, warmth, and comprehensive amenities. The hotel also features a “Courtyard Living Room” teahouse, a Beijing-style dining and cultural reading space, creating an immersive experience of life in the hutongs. Qiu Guo Hotel is a chain of urban cultural boutique hotels launched by Qiu Guo Group. The Qiu Guo Courtyard features a fresh and natural design style, blending modern simplicity with traditional ethnic elements, promoting a journey of “simple happiness.” The hotel is equipped with vitamin refueling stations and a deep cleaning system, aiming to provide warm, healthy, and comfortable accommodations for guests. Here, you can enjoy a peaceful courtyard amidst the bustling city life, feeling the passage of time in the old Beijing alleys and the tranquility and comfort of modern living.

The staff was nice when we checked in, offering to help us take our luggage to our room. They gave us the room on the first level for our convenience as there were elderly but the room reeks of a smoke smell. But they quickly resolved it and gave us another room which was alright. Upon staying, they also gave a snack platter which consists of tomatoes, apples and oranges and small snacks and the fruits were super sweet and nice. Everything was ok, they were responsive via WeChat and generally the stay was alright. But when we were checking out and wanted to leave our luggage at the hotel before heading out to explore, this time round they did not offer to take our luggage and told us to just rolled it in and set aside at one corner.o

The hotel is old, but the location is very convenient for those of us who use public transportation, as it is very close to the metro station. I stayed here for a couple of days at the beginning of my trip and then traveled to other places. When I returned to Beijing, I chose to stay at this hotel again because the staff are very friendly. One staff member named Xiaosong (小松) kindly helped us carry our luggage to our room, as we were assigned to stay upstairs where there is no elevator. His offer of help was greatly appreciated and made our stay much more comfortable.

Pro Location is King: It’s a 5-minute walk from Beijing Railway Station. If you’re catching an early train, this is a lifesaver. Vibe: It’s an old courtyard house (former home of Edgar Snow). It feels authentic and ”Old Beijing” rather than a sterile corporate box. Price: Very hard to beat for this part of the city. You get a lot of character for a budget price. Quiet: Even though it’s near the station, the courtyard setting keeps the street noise out. Cons Tight Squeeze: The rooms are not too big. If you're traveling with huge suitcases, you’ll be playing Tetris to move around. Finding It: It’s in a hutong. It’s charming, but your first time finding it with bags can be a bit of a hunt. Basic Bathrooms: They’re clean and functional, but don’t expect a spa-like setup. The Bottom Line It’s perfect for backpackers or solo travelers who want a cool, historic home base in Beijing

Located at the foot of the Imperial City in Chaodongli, east of the Forbidden City, this three-year project seamlessly blends cultural hotels, art spaces, trendy dining, and lifestyle experiences. It's not just a prime spot for urban getaways, but also a must-visit MiniMall that's young, trendy, artistic, and full of diversity. "Chaodongli Cultural Hotel" materializes the concept of "great seclusion in the city while forgetting its surroundings," allowing you to immerse yourself in the urban environment yet feel a sense of naturalness. The minimalist wabi-sabi-inspired room design creates a tranquil and bright space with the philosophy of "Less is more," delivering an immediate sense of physical and mental comfort. Adopting the ancient Chinese aesthetic principles of "greatness has no corners, greatness is achieved late, great sound is silent, and great form has no shape" as the hotel's room zoning, it harmonizes with the four cardinal directions and subtly aligns with an ancient Chinese aesthetic concept, aiming to promote natural beauty rather than artificial one.

This fantastic hutong-style hotel is a top choice for family staycations! The location is superb, just a 2-minute walk to Dongsi subway station. It's a quiet oasis in the bustling city, making getting around super convenient. The wabi-sabi design is full of texture, with raw wood furniture, soft lighting, and art installations. The large bathtub, smart toilet, and soft bedding ensure maximum comfort. Downstairs, you'll find Yuanshan Korean Restaurant, Naogongguan Desserts, and Honghua Dim Sum Bureau, and guests get discounts, making dining incredibly hassle-free – a one-stop shop for eating and exploring. The service is warm and attentive, and the free luggage storage and self-service laundry room are super practical. When I choose to stay at a hotel with a reception, I expect more than just a room - I expect reliable guidance and communication. Unfortunately, this hotel fell short in that regard. For example, I was advised to take a taxi to the Great Wall, when in reality there are several convenient shuttle options that I later found on my own. Similarly, when I asked for a simple recommendation for tea, the response I received was dismissive and unhelpful (screen shot attached). On top of that, the air conditioning in my room stopped working. Instead of handling the situation professionally, the staff made me feel uncomfortable about requesting a room change and had to contact trip for help. Overall, the lack of support and poor communication significantly impacted my experience and left me disappointed - would never come back here and would never recommend this place.

The Temple of Heaven is also very close, and Qianmen Street is right around the corner, which is super convenient. The only slight drawback is that you have to walk a bit to catch a taxi as the location isn't ideal for ride-hailing apps.

I used the washer and dryer and you can tell they are clean and well maintained too. Clothes smell really good after the wash. Service was excellent. Staff can help with your laundry and accept your taobao parcels. Just note that the restaurant is currently under renovation so there is limited breakfast selection. But the staff told me if I think the choices are too limited, they can always do a refund. Happy that they are being flexible. Overall, I am happy with the hotel and will stay here again if I ever come back to Beijing again.

Aallaine___I came via the HSR at Beijing West and decided to just stay around the area. It looks very unassuming outside much like the area around the railway station but the room inside is very clean and feels new! The location is just a bit hard to find, but this is mostly due to how the whole Beijing West is. You have to walk across the parking lot at the north side of Beijin West to locate the hotel. Close also to the metro line and there’s an airport bus also that goes straight to PEK nearby or the train going to PKX.

AAnonymous UserWhat a pleasant surprise! Every detail in the room made us feel incredibly comfortable. My son especially loved the setup of the lounge area; the wall art and lighting were perfectly matched, creating a stylish ambiance. The kitchen was an absolute bonus, fully equipped with a Siemens dishwasher and washing machine, and all the dishes and pots were neatly organized. Traveling with a child, I didn't have to worry about a thing – it was so convenient to prepare baby food or warm up meals for him. It truly felt like home. GGuest UserThis was my first stay at the Grand Millennium Beijing, and it exceeded my expectations by far. It wasn't overly crowded, so it felt very peaceful and quiet. The swimming pool is a major highlight, integrated seamlessly with the gym on a different floor, creating a spacious, high-ceilinged area with a Southeast Asian vibe. I encountered many Hong Kongers there, from business travelers in the elevator to an elderly couple in the executive lounge; they were all very humble and friendly. The surrounding area boasts a wide variety of restaurants, and the Fortune Plaza Mall is practically a canteen for Beijing's white-collar workers. The night view is also top-notch, with the CCTV Headquarters lit up beautifully. A pleasant surprise was bumping into a celebrity while working out – the 'rooster among roosters,' haha. The Grand Millennium is fantastic, giving me every reason to return. The male manager who handled my check-in was very gracious, and the service was just perfect.
