Hotels near Fenggui Cave, Penghu

The location is far from the center, so convenience stores and restaurants are far away. But it was nice to be close to the beach. The hostel was very clean and the facilities were very well maintained. The breakfast menu was delicious, I could choose the day before. The boss and wife of the hotel did their best for our trip. He called me a taxi, recommended a restaurant, and he found out the fireworks. My family wants to travel here for the next peacetime.

Our four-day, three-night trip to Penghu included a stay at 89 Inn. The rooms were clean and bright, and the location was very convenient with a laundry, 7-Eleven, and PX Mart downstairs. The landlady was very friendly and helped prepare delicious breakfasts from Magong every day – Zhongji sesame seed cakes, Erxin double-color rice balls, and croissant pork tenderloin were all incredibly tasty! They were also very helpful in handling any requests we made. I will definitely choose 89 Inn again if I have the chance to travel to Penghu in the future. The cleanliness of the room is okay. The location is a bit far from the bus stop that can go to Mahgong Main Bus Station. You have to walk to YangMing station around 8-10mins. For those who carry heavy and big luggage, be prepared as the airport shuttle bus will only stop at International Plaza (Fupeng Sheraton Hotel) and you have to carry those luggages to walk around 1km to reach here. This homestay adopts self check in policy. You have to contact the owner to retrieve the info of your room. The phone number display on Trip.com cannot be reached and you have to search on Google to get their phone number. It’s better for you to contact them via Line as they don’t have reception counter. They will never respond on Trip.com so don’t waste your time to contact them via Trip.com.

Staying in a good hotel makes for a good trip. The hotel is located right near Beichen Market, making it perfect for exploring the city. The building appears old, but it seems to have been renovated a few years ago. The entrance, front desk, and interior are very clean and well-maintained, with a retro feel. It also has a nice atmosphere, perhaps influenced by younger generations. I stayed in a room without a window, but it wasn't cramped, there were no unpleasant smells, and no insects. I was able to relax in a clean space. It was such a good hotel that I extended my one-night stay to two. What I appreciated most was the service from the staff. Everyone had a wonderful smile, but I was especially grateful to the staff on the night shift. Even though I couldn't speak English or Chinese, they patiently explained everything using a translation app without showing any displeasure. They even provided information on restaurants, tourist spots, and tour bus websites, and even helped me find a laundromat and arrange an electric scooter. There's a sense of security knowing that they'll respond to any request with a smile. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a good hotel at a reasonable price. Regarding the room amenities, there was no hand soap. Shampoo and body wash were not separate; there was one product that could be used on both hair and body. Those who are concerned about this should bring their own.

The power button on the remote control was broken. The AC also turned off by itself even when no timer was set. I messaged their official LINE account with a question, but only received a reply after I had already checked in on the day of my arrival. Our room was in a separate building. Aside from the poor soundproofing, I actually slept quite comfortably. The price during the fireworks festival wasn't particularly cheap, and the value for money for this stay was a huge letdown compared to my expectations. It just goes to show that sometimes, sticking to a proper hotel is a better choice.

The location is in the city center. It is very convenient for shopping and close to the port. The overall room facilities are very good and clean. It is very convenient to live in a backpacker room with bathroom facilities. This is my favorite point. The service staff is okay. Due to lack of manpower, their faces are a bit smelly and they talk very fast, but the service is good and it's hard work. I will choose this place next time I go to Penghu!
