Hotels near Kunyang Metro Station, Taipei

I stayed at Discovery Motel Nan’gang for three nights. While the pricing is reasonable and the included simple breakfast is appreciated, it’s important to note that this motel is designed with couples in mind and is not suitable for families or those seeking a more traditional hotel experience. The key advantage is its convenience for those traveling by car — each room has a dedicated parking spot right in front of the door, which makes access very easy. The location is relatively accessible by car, but may not be ideal for guests relying on public transportation. Overall, it offers good value for specific types of travelers, especially couples or solo drivers, but I would not recommend it for family stays.

The rooms were roomy and clean. Very pretty hotel. Only issue was the breakfast buffet. My mom and aunt found the selection very sad, small, and not worth the extra money. They give you some vouchers for the Cafe on the first floor. The voucher is for a free beverage and dessert. The beverage is either a small cup of juice, tea, or an Americano and a sweet little snack. The location is okay. There is a Costco very close by. You can't really walk to Nangang Exhibition Center but there is a bus stop across the street and they have a shuttle. I was just too forgetful to reserve the shuttle on time. Overall decent experience.

Superb location, just a 3-minute walk from the MRT! The rooms are clean and spacious, and the front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast offered a wide variety, and the braised pork rice was very authentic. I would definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit to Taiwan!

The hotel stay was fairly average overall. The location is decent but not particularly convenient, as it requires about a 15–20 minute walk from the nearest MRT station. One of the main reasons I chose this hotel was because they advertised free parking. Unfortunately, this was misleading—upon arrival, the hotel carpark was already full, and no alternative arrangements were provided. I had to pay for parking elsewhere, which was both inconvenient and an unexpected additional cost. Considering the price paid, the overall experience was disappointing and did not feel like good value for money. While the stay itself was manageable, these drawbacks are important to keep in mind, especially if you’re planning to drive.

The location is Shenkeng, which is quite close to Shenkeng Old Street. It takes about 10 minutes by car. If Taipei people have nowhere to go, they can go there to relax and sometimes have unexpected feelings.

We booked 6 rooms and stayed 3 nights. After we checked out and about to board the flight homebound one of us found out that his had left his wallet in the hotel's room. We called the hotel and although they had found the wallet, however they did not contact us immediately (so we may return to hotel before heading to the airport). Also they were not willing to return the wallet to us by courier, and require us to arrange courier to come and collect by ourselves. We then asked them to assist packing the wallet for safety (due to cash, credit cards, ID involved) but they also refused to assist. We are rather disappointed for the hotel's unhelpful behaviour and attitude, if they can contact us at first instance then it can save all of us time and costs. Hope the management can review and improve their quality.

You get what you pay for and this cheap hotel is exactly that, a cheap motel. Walls are thin and it's old. But location is super convenient and it's a place to sleep.

I had a business meeting in Taipei tonight, and my client booked me a room at the WeGo Boutique Hotel near Miramar Dazhi. This hotel features themed rooms – romantic and beautiful, with various styles like Chinese, American, French, and English decor. They are cozy and atmospheric. Rooms are typically rented by the hour, except for overnight guests checking in from 10 PM until noon the next day. A thoughtful touch is having breakfast sets delivered right to your room door. The beds are all extra-large, with just the right firmness, making for a great night's sleep. The staff are friendly and enthusiastic. It was a really good experience, definitely worth recommending to everyone.

This is one of my favorites hotel in Taipei. Very good location and very clean. Near Songshan Station. Friendly and helpful staffs. Highly recommend.

Good: - Very spacious room; was able to lay out all items in the room when packing my luggage. - There is also this ventilation machine in the toilet which not only help to clear fog after a shower, but also has a heater function. - Very good location; with 7-11, family mart and many food options just below the hotel. Near Raohe night market which is one of the most popular night market in Taipei. Near train station which makes it very accessible. Bad: - Place looks unsettling; ceiling looks half done (not sure if this is the style they are going for). - Rather noisy at night, air-conditioner and fridge makes noises which was alright after I fell asleep. But in addition, there is this alarm from the air-conditioner which startled me and woke me up from my sleep multiple times. - Bed was slightly on the harder side. - Only 1 lift so may have to wait rather long during peak periods. Lift has to stop at level 2 (front counter) every time you want to head out which wasted a bit of time.
