It's been a while since I last stayed in a hotel in Hong Kong, and I'm quite disappointed. The check-in service was actually good by Hong Kong standards (those familiar with Hong Kong service will understand). However, the first room I was assigned had an odd smell, there were unidentifiable hairs around the carpet, and the chair was worn out... That really made a bad first impression. I then switched to a second room, and the carpets along the way were visibly not very clean. Perhaps I've stayed in Macau hotels more often; any brand hotel in Macau is always very clean and reassuring. These points combined made my stay feel very uncomfortable. This hotel is indeed very suitable for families with children, offering a swimming pool, a splash pool, and a kids' club (HKD 110 per hour). The breakfast was also good. The main draw of this hotel for me initially was the unbeatable sea view from the room! However, I do have a small suggestion: the curtains in the guest rooms let in light, so you'll be woken up by glaring light around 6 or 7 in the morning.

Pretty good, clean, with a decent AC in the room. The staff were very professional, and the room itself was quite spacious. It's conveniently located right next to Ocean Park, and the MTR station is right there.

Traveling all the way from Changzhou, Jiangsu, it was my first time in Hong Kong, and I decided to give Nina Hotel Island South a try. To my surprise, I received a warmth that far exceeded my expectations. For the first two nights, I stayed in a Superior City Room. Although it didn't have an external window due to Hong Kong's urban planning, the room was spacious and bright. The ventilation system and air conditioning worked wonderfully, so there was no stuffiness at all. The king-size bed was large and soft; once I lay down, I didn't want to get up. I had a great night's sleep and a particularly comfortable stay. On the third night, due to my booking, I was moved to a newly renovated Superior Room. Upon entering, I noticed a rather strong renovation smell, and later, there was a minor issue with no hot water in the shower. I contacted the front desk just to see what they could do, and they immediately arranged a room change, which already made me very satisfied. What was even more heartwarming was that after we moved rooms, the Guest Services Manager proactively approached us and offered to upgrade us to a room with a balcony for ventilation – throughout the entire process, we hadn't asked for any compensation. This proactive consideration was truly unexpected and touching. We politely declined the upgrade and casually asked if they could offer us breakfast for four. The manager agreed without hesitation, saying, ”Absolutely no problem.” This unexpected thoughtfulness felt like a spring breeze, dispelling any initial apprehension. The hotel's service goes beyond just solving problems; it's about proactive empathy, and it made my first impression of Hong Kong exceptionally wonderful because of this warmth. Next time I visit, this will still be my first choice.

Staying here for second time. The room was a bit old and the curtain doesn’t work well but as a solo traveler, it was ok. The door is not well soundproof. I would prefer the first time I stayed here. However, with this price in HK, I would say I am still ok with overall experience.

Hotel near Wong Chuk Hang MTR in Hong Kong. It's right next to Ocean Park. This place is truly a hidden gem, offering excellent value for money! We booked a sea-view room, but unfortunately, we arrived during a typhoon, so the sea view wasn't as spectacular as it could have been. Nevertheless, the room was spacious, the price was reasonable, and the service was good! I'll definitely be back!

Such a pleasant surprise! ❤️ First, the room size really stood out. If you’ve stayed in mid-range hotels in Hong Kong before, you know space can be tight. But here, the room felt noticeably more spacious and well laid out. We had enough room for our luggage and could still move around comfortably without bumping into everything. It made a big difference, especially after long days out. The cleanliness was consistently impressive. The room was cleaned every single day, towels were changed daily, and even the slippers were replaced every two days. Everything always felt fresh and well taken care of. You can tell the housekeeping team pays attention to the details. The pantry area was simple but very practical. It wasn’t overdone or cluttered, just neat and useful. Everything was organized, easy to use, and kept tidy. It was great to have a clean and functional space to prepare quick snacks or drinks. And we really have to mention Sir Edward, the night manager. He was incredibly welcoming and friendly from the moment we arrived. Always smiling, easy to talk to, and genuinely helpful. After a long day exploring, it was nice to come back to someone who made you feel welcome. That personal touch really made our stay even better. Overall, Urbanwood AP Lei Chau gave us great value for what we paid. Clean rooms, more space than expected, practical amenities, and warm service. We’d definitely stay here again.

Whenever friends and family visit Hong Kong, I never hesitate to recommend this fantastic hotel located in the heart of Hong Kong Island, and they always rave about it! Both the facilities and service are impeccable! 💯 🏃🏻‍♀️ Facilities: The hotel boasts a full range of facilities, including a gym, 🍹 bar, 🍽️ restaurant, and 🌳 garden – truly everything you could ask for! It's hard to imagine such a spacious property right in the city center of Hong Kong Island 🏨. ✨ What's even more delightful is the complimentary happy hour every Friday! It's a wonderful opportunity to enjoy a relaxed evening with friends in the lobby, soaking in the 'chill' vibes of Hong Kong's nightlife. 🌃 • 🖼️ Views: The hotel rooms offer direct views of the Hong Kong Jockey Club racetrack 🐎, sharing the same stunning scenery with the wealthy residents of the Mid-Levels! Location: It's very close to the Wan Chai MTR station. The main entrance is on Fenwick Street, not Hennessy Road, and there isn't a large sign, so keep an eye out for it. It's also very close to the Convention and Exhibition Centre and Wan Chai Pier. Service: Quite good. Hygiene: Daily cleaning, thorough. Facilities: The room size is considered large, and the bathroom has a bathtub. You can bring your own tub liner for a bath. The breakfast is quite varied, and the afternoon tea is also excellent – eating it later can even save you dinner. Recommended.

Only stayed one night in Wan Chai and it was just right. Awesome central spot—minutes from MTR, Convention Centre, heaps of restaurants (loved the late-night food options), and easy access to everywhere. Staff friendly, check-in quick. Room felt fresh and quiet enough (good insulation for the district’s energy), bed comfy, fast Wi-Fi. City lights view added a cool vibe! Tiny note: streets are bustling (typical Wan Chai charm), so if your room faces out, it’s lively—but nothing disruptive. Perfect for a short, action-packed HK trip. Solid value and I’d return for another quick stop. Thanks!

The service was excellent, and the staff spoke standard Mandarin well, even though I also understand Cantonese. They thoughtfully upgraded me to a suite, which shows this hotel doesn't discriminate against guests from mainland China. The room was very clean and new. It's located in the bustling Wan Chai district, and on the third floor, there was even an Asian selection race for miniature model cars in the mall. The hotel's attached mall has a McDonald's and Sasa, and it's always lively. It's best to check in after 3 PM to avoid the queues. This is my second time staying here, and I highly recommend it. But seriously, don't all come and steal my hidden gem, haha!

KkerkcheehowLocation: Just a 3-minute walk from Wan Chai MTR Exit C. You can also take bus A11 directly from the airport. Environment: Clean and spacious rooms, which is considered quite large for Hong Kong. Amenities: Toothbrush, slippers, towels, hairdryer, shower gel, and shampoo are all provided. Staff: All staff members are polite and can speak English, Mandarin, and Cantonese. Overall, the room was quiet, the air conditioning was sufficiently cold, and the shower had good water pressure. I stayed for six nights and had a very pleasant experience.

GGuest UserThis hotel definitely exceeded my expectations! For a price over HKD 1,000, I was expecting a tiny room in Hong Kong, but to my surprise, it was a suite. It had a living room with a sofa, coffee table, and dining table, and the bedroom had a super large bed. Plus, all the details in the bathroom were very clean. The hotel staff were very nice, and their Mandarin was good. Breakfast was semi-buffet style, where you could order one set meal, and all four I tried were delicious. You could even see parrots flying outside the window while having breakfast. The biggest advantage of this hotel is its convenient location. It's about two bus stops from Admiralty Station (or walkable, really), a 200-meter walk from the Peak Tram Macdonnell Road Station, and within walking distance of Hong Kong Park and Hong Kong Zoological and Botanical Gardens. Highly recommend!

SSanfenrexieziI was traveling solo and only stayed for one night, so location was my top priority when choosing a hotel. This place is just a two or three-minute walk from the Yau Ma Tei MTR station, right on the street, and easy to find. The young man at the front desk was very polite, but the older gentleman next to him had a slightly gruff tone. The room itself was fine, aside from being small. For one person, this room type was just about enough, but for two, it would probably feel very cramped.

WWhere are the JacksWe are a family of four. Stayed for 6 days in their family room. Room size is big for Hong Kong standards at 28 square meters with two double beds. 4500 Pesos per night, great Value for money. Different themed floors and rooms. Greece, Africa, cozi penguins etc. It has a playroom for kids. gym and sauna, also a swimming pool, but it's closed, open during summertime or July. Service is great. Staff are all nice. Spoke to them in english and Mandarin. MTR and Bus are only in front of the hotel, or about 300 meters. Connected to V CITY MALL, and connected to other malls, tuen men plaza, tuen men park etc. all via connecting Bridge. You can take the 33AX bus going from and to the airport. Only cost 17 HK dollars. Oh we went to a local catholic church for the easter sunday mass. It's in front of V City Mall. MTR takes you everywhere in HK very convenient yet cheap because it's not your usual touristy area like Tsim Sha Tsui.

RRS JennyI stayed at this hotel for almost a week, and the service was genuinely excellent. One thing that stood out was how attentive the housekeeping staff were after a few days, they seemed to understand exactly how I preferred my bed and bedding arranged. Whenever that particular staff member cleaned our room, she made sure everything was kept just the way I liked it, which I found very thoughtful. The room, however, is significantly smaller than it appears in the photos much smaller, especially considering the price. That said, given that the hotel is located in Hong Kong, the size is somewhat understandable and not entirely unreasonable. The location is definitely a highlight. It’s literally about a two-minute walk to the tram, which I used frequently during my stay. This made getting around Hong Kong extremely easy and convenient. Compared to other larger hotels in the same area, this one is also relatively more affordable. In terms of cleanliness, there is room for improvement. On one occasion, after the room was serviced, my towel was replaced with one that was worn out, slightly damaged, and didn’t look properly clean. That was disappointing and not up to standard.

LLuna Blanca Ysmeralda⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had a great stay at Venetian Hostel in Tsim Sha Tsui! The location is honestly one of the best things about it — it’s right in the center of everything in TST. There are so many food places just outside the building, so finding something to eat was never a problem. The MTR is also very convenient, only about a 2-minute walk from TST Station Exit D2, which made commuting around Hong Kong super easy. If you’re coming from the airport by bus, you can simply stop at bus stop #14 (Mirador Mansion), which is very close to the hostel. Another thing we appreciated was the housekeeping. They collect the trash every day, so when we came back our bins were already clean. They also changed our bedsheets and towels even though we didn’t request it, which was a really nice touch. Just a small tip: they sometimes offer room upgrades when you arrive, but you can always say NO if you want to stick with your budget. We stayed on the 13th floor, and that floor has a free water refilling station (which the other floors don’t have), so that was a big plus for us. The only downside is that the elevator in the building can be very slow, especially during busy hours. But overall, the stay was comfortable, clean, and very convenient. Great option if you’re looking for a budget place in TST!

Bbb1979_2006I booked two adjoining double rooms. Though small, they had everything needed, and the hotel felt quite new and comfortable inside. It's located next to a highway, so there was some noise (rooms facing the small road on the opposite side would probably be quieter). I'd say the air conditioning unit was even louder. For breakfast, they offered one pastry and unlimited coffee refills. There was no bottled water in the room, and toiletries and slippers were not provided. It's about a 10-minute walk to Prince Edward MTR station. The value for money is much better than some of the older hotels.

BbeibeiloveseaComing to Hong Kong this time, I searched for many hotels on Trip.com, but most rooms were tiny and the facilities were outdated. I finally decided to stay at the Best Western Plus Hotel Hong Kong, and as soon as I entered, I was blown away by the sea-view room on the first floor with a large balcony! Stepping out, you're greeted by an endless expanse of clear blue sea – the view is absolutely stunning! 🌊 At night, I enjoyed the sea breeze on the balcony, watching the starry sky, eating fruit, and having drinks. It was so relaxing I didn't want to leave. Getting around from the hotel is super convenient; there's a free shuttle bus directly to the MTR station, making it easy to go shopping, explore, and try out all the amazing local food. The buffet breakfast was a bit simple, so don't have high expectations. Once you're near the MTR station, there are so many Hong Kong delicacies that you'll wish you had more stomachs to try them all. The hotel offers a peaceful retreat amidst the hustle and bustle, with a healing sea view and excellent value for money. The experience was fantastic, and it's definitely on my must-stay list for my next visit to Hong Kong. I'll definitely be back!

GGuest UserMy teacher mentioned that the location is indeed valuable, and the in-room facilities aren't as bad as I imagined. However, there's a critical flaw: a complete lack of security. There's no secure entrance, or you could even say there's no real door at all. People can just walk in and out of the building freely. When I returned around 11 PM and left around 6 AM, the entrance was always wide open – not even a pretense of security. What's worse, all the sliding doors leading to the rooms upstairs are also unlocked. A random passerby could literally walk all the way up and stand right outside your room door. If you're a woman traveling alone, absolutely do not stay here. Then there's the dampness, which seems to be an inherent issue with the building's structure. It's not the kind of extreme dampness where water drips, but the moment you walk in, the air feels incredibly stagnant, with poor ventilation. The air conditioner is right above the bed, and since it's still early in the year, the weather isn't too hot yet. I can't imagine how unbearable it would be in the summer. I was assigned the smallest room on the entire floor, and it honestly felt no different from a prison cell. The bed was right up against the balcony door, making it incredibly noisy – much louder than I expected. I consider myself quite tolerant of noise, but here, it was noisy both inside and outside. When a group of college students stayed, I didn't get any sleep all night. Unless you truly have no other option, seriously, don't stay here.
