"I stayed here for 3 nights in June. The location is excellent, within walking distance of both Hong Kong Station and Central Station. I was also able to walk to the Victoria Peak tram station, although it was a bit of a stroll. However, as shown in the photos, the exterior isn't particularly impressive, and because it's located in the dense urban center of Hong Kong, I got a little lost trying to find it. Regarding the cleanliness of the room, there were two things that bothered me: there was what looked like a strand of hair on a drinking glass, and an open can of juice was left in the refrigerator. While my travel companion and I aren't overly particular, I imagine others might find this off-putting. It felt a bit subpar for what should be a typical four-star hotel. On the positive side, towels and bathrobes were replaced diligently every day. As for amenities, perhaps it's standard in Hong Kong, but there were no toothbrushes provided, which is something to be aware of. Shampoo and conditioner were available, and there was a decent hairdryer. While there was no water in the fridge, there was a kettle with instant coffee and tea. I believe I had the cheapest room, but I was grateful that it came with a bathtub."

"Excellent service! The cleaning staff did an amazing job every day, keeping the room spotless. The lobby manager was very helpful and even assisted with our luggage. The location is super convenient too. Overall, highly recommend!"

"The Gloucester Luk Kwok Hotel has a great location, right near Wan Chai MTR station, and it even has its own shopping mall. The front desk staff are incredibly welcoming with perfect Mandarin, and the service staff are very helpful and proactive in showing you the way. A five-star hotel experience!"

"The hotel is conveniently located at 33 Hennessy Road, Hong Kong Island, and easy to find with navigation. It's well-connected with public transport, including buses and the MTR, all within a few minutes' walk. Some floors were undergoing renovation, but it didn't significantly impact my stay. The room size was quite generous compared to similar hotels, and the environment was clean and hygienic. The staff were all very friendly, and the check-in process at the front desk was quick. The hotel also offers free luggage storage before check-in and after check-out, which is a great bonus. While the breakfast and afternoon tea didn't offer a vast selection, the quality was excellent and generally catered to different tastes. All the staff were very welcoming, and communication in Mandarin was seamless; any requests were promptly addressed. Overall, I had a good experience and would consider staying here again if I have the chance."

"affordable and good option for your stay in hong kong. room was pretty spacious (compared to the most of HK hotels) and clean. the staff were very friendly and helpful. didnt expect to have a swimming pool and a gym, pleasant surprise for us. and of course, let’s mention the location, walkable distance from Central with all the bars and restaurants, and just a few minutes away you can find a nice park to walk and enjoy the greenery"

"Great location! We upgraded to a sea-view room and the view was absolutely stunning. The concierge and cleaning staff were very attentive. The only downside is that the room feels a bit old, the air conditioning is noisy, and the bedding could be better quality."

"The hotel's location near Sheung Wan station, with a tram stop and the Macau ferry terminal right in front, made sightseeing incredibly convenient. Having a Starbucks and a delicious dim sum restaurant nearby was also a huge plus. Although the building was old and the bed was hard, the room was clean, the shower water temperature was easy to adjust, and the harbor view was satisfying. I was also happy to find slippers, which are rare in hotels outside of Asia. However, while the staff were generally polite and helpful, I had an unpleasant experience when picking up my luggage after checkout. I had left it with them to explore a bit more. When I returned, a middle-aged male staff member with glasses told me to 'get in line,' even though I had already informed them of my pickup time when I dropped off the luggage. There were other people waiting, and I understand the importance of queuing, but I was in a hurry to get to the airport. After explaining my situation, they did retrieve my luggage, but his reluctant attitude was irritating. What bothered me most was that he didn't even ask why I was in a hurry, treating me like an 'inconvenient foreign guest who couldn't communicate.' I believe all guests want to make the most of their sightseeing time and will pick up their luggage accordingly. I've traveled to many countries, but I've never encountered such a response before. If it weren't for that incident, I would consider it a good hotel. Being treated like that just as I was leaving was very disappointing."

"Great location, and the room was quite spacious and very clean. No deposit required, which is a huge plus! If you don't want to exchange HKD, they even have universal plug adapters in the room, so no need to buy your own. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful; they can even accept food deliveries for you and offer free luggage storage."

"Hotel is just 5 mins walk to the Mid-level escalator meaning you can access to Central restaurants and shopping area with ease. Hotel also provides free shuttle service at scheduled time (pls refer to below pic). With the very reasonable room rate, the room has all the amenities but pls bring your own toothbrush & paste. The hotel personnel are all very friendly & helpful. The hotel still uses the physical key with large room number tag. If possible request for top floor facing the city view."

"The location is convenient, with direct access to the airport via the A11 bus. Nearby, there are trams (Ding Ding) and buses that make getting around easy. However, it's a bit of a walk to the MTR, about 8-10 minutes between Admiralty and Wan Chai stations. It's not far from Causeway Bay and Central, and bus route 23 goes directly to the University of Hong Kong from right outside. It's convenient for both transportation and dining. I stayed on the 7th floor in a twin room with a bay window. The room had a desk and felt quite spacious for Hong Kong, and it was very clean. Satisfied and recommended~"
