A Sanctuary When I Needed It Most I arrived in Taiyuan not feeling well and ended up staying seven nights without ever leaving the room. Labor Day holiday, full DND stretches, just me and delivery apps. And honestly? It was exactly what I needed, and this hotel made it possible. Let me start with the moment that defined this stay. My housekeeper came in most days to refresh the room, and each time I'd ask for the same drinks. After a few days he just knew -- knew what I wanted, knew I wasn't feeling well. He'd heard me coughing while he cleaned and was clearly paying attention. On my last day, when I had DND up and didn't want any service at all, he quietly left a bag of my favorite drinks outside the door anyway. No knock, no disruption. Just a person who had been paying attention all week and wanted to take care of me. That kind of warmth doesn't come from a training manual. I won't forget it. The room itself held up beautifully for a long stationary stay. Clean, accurate to the photos, well-appointed. Floor-to-ceiling windows, two bathrooms, excellent shower pressure, generous storage, a proper tea set, and a beverage bar housekeeping kept replenished without being asked. The slippers were genuinely excellent -- better than some five-star properties I've stayed at. For seven nights of recovery during a national holiday, this hotel and its people delivered everything that mattered.

Great hotel, right in the city center and easy to go everywhere. The hotel's pick-up and drop-off service for attractions is even more unbeatable! Also, there was a girl at the front desk who was so pretty that my wife kept teasing me. . I swear I didn't even take a second look. Taiyuan is very good! Will come again!

My stay at Wutong Apartments was wonderful! The room was clean, spacious, modern, and aesthetically pleasing. There is bathtub is luxurious and spacious, the shower has great pressure and the the separate toilet room has a motion censored toilet seat and a bidet. The bed was comfy and the closet space begs you to unpack your suitcase. There were thoughtful amenities, including a loofah cloth and shoe shine cloths. Now...the breakfast. It was the best breakfast buffet I've ever had the pleasure of experiencing. Tinder and well seasoned steak, salmon, soups, desserts, breads, scrumptious pancakes and a salad bar that even included kale amongst the varied greens. Best of all, the service was exceptional. A special thank you to Li Ne, the dining staff and the housekeeper who attended to my room. I wish that every hotel stay I experience in the future is as amazing as my time at Wutong Apartment Hotel.

Travel is convenient, the room is fully equipped and spacious. The beautiful lady at the front desk upgraded the room for free. The projection is clear, and the smart voice assistant can operate the room facilities and lights. It is very convenient. The overall environment of the hotel is also very good, and the price-performance ratio is very high. I recommend friends to stay here!

The hotel's location is excellent, making it convenient for getting around. There's a high-end shopping mall right behind it, offering easy access to dining and shopping. However, the quality of the room's fixtures and fittings could be improved; the floor in my room had at least two hollow spots. Secondly, the breakfast quality noticeably declined on the second day of my stay during the holiday. Items like walnuts and dried cranberries were not refilled even by the time we finished and left. This is an objective review, and I hope for improvements.

This hotel was the best one we stayed at during our trip to China (Taiyuan/Xi'an/Beijing), even though the hotels in the other two cities were also very good and unique. The hotel is designed in the style of a traditional Shanxi compound, which is incredibly distinctive. It features multiple courtyards, each with its own unique ambiance, making it perfect for photos. The hotel offers a free 'young lady' (少奶奶) / Hanfu dress-up experience. We didn't pay for additional makeup and styling, but still took many great photos around the hotel ourselves. The hotel's location is also superb. It's just a 2-minute walk to Food Street and Liuxiang Pedestrian Street, a paradise for foodies and shoppers. The former Governor's Mansion and Jinshang Museum are also within walking distance. Despite being so close to the hustle and bustle, the hotel itself is situated on a quiet alley, completely undisturbed by the outside noise. The breakfast offered by the hotel was something we looked forward to every morning, eager to go and eat. It was a thoughtfully prepared, nutritious breakfast, very rich, and excellent in color, aroma, and taste. Enjoying complimentary afternoon tea in the courtyard; free self-service laundry... the hotel truly offers a comprehensive range of services. Most notably, their service stands out – every staff member is friendly and dedicated. Next time I visit Taiyuan, I will definitely stay there again.

When checking in, the front desk warned me about potential noise at night. I thought it was just the street food stalls downstairs and didn't pay much attention, especially since changing hotels at the last minute would have been a hassle. Turns out, it was the bar downstairs! Every night after 10 PM, they'd start singing, and it was incredibly difficult to bear. Lying in bed, I could clearly hear every song, the bass penetrated the floor, and the windows rattled. I complained to the front desk, but they just shrugged, told me to bear with it, and said they usually stop after 1 AM... Cleanliness: The toilet was very dirty upon check-in... After lifting the toilet seat, I could see yellow stains... The picture was taken after I'd already cleaned some of it myself.

Ctrip's target is five diamonds, except for the lobby and services, none of the other links meet this standard. Room facilities are old. But at this price, don't expect too good hardware. The breakfast was good, which is to be commended. There is no business district nearby, so it is not very convenient to eat. Service: The service is rated five points, very thoughtful and enthusiastic. Facilities: old. Will not live again in the future.
