"Lovely friendly staff and excellent location. This hotel is superb and fantastic value for money. We didn't find it to be too noisy either. I would recommend the hotel and stay here again."
"The hotel is located in a residential area, about a ten-minute walk from the beach. There's a bus stop right outside, and it's a 10-15 minute bus ride or a 20-25 minute walk to the Arc de Triomphe. There are also many great cafes and restaurants nearby. The hotel itself is large, new, and well-equipped, offering excellent value for money. My only minor complaint is that the room felt a bit stuffy."
"Polite and attentive staff, excellent breakfast with fresh, seasonal ingredients, a clean room, a spacious and comfortable bathroom, a good gym, a rooftop pool, and a nice sea view from the terrace."
"Overall, the hotel experience was very pleasant. The room was clean and tidy, with a warm and elegant decor. The bedding was soft and comfortable, and I slept very well. The front desk service was warm, attentive, and responsive. The location was convenient for getting around. The environment was spotless, with attention to detail. It was good value for money, and I would definitely choose to stay here again on my next trip.
(Note: The last line appears to be a separate, unrelated comment: ”Needs...”)"
"One of the cheaper hotels in Barcelona. The room is quite small, but after all, Barcelona has more than 1,000 yuan. It is very comfortable and very good hotel."
"The location is good near Ramblas and eateries. The Pakistan food next to hotel is nice and staff is friendly. The room is very small for 3 and there is no kettle and mineral water provided. Triple room should provide bigger room"
"Really enjoyed staying here. Beautiful hotel in the heart of Las Ramblas. We had a family room for 4 people and it was such a good space with the comfiest beds. We overlooked Las Ramblas and there was a small balcony to sit out on but there was alot of construction work going on in the street so not as picturesque as we hoped but that's not down to the hotel. All the hotel staff were super helpful, from meeting and greeting, checking in and out plus help booking taxis. We were using the train for onward travel to Madrid but there was a rail strike and the reception staff were really helpful with that too. We hadn't booked breakfast with our stay but we added it on when we were there and that was good valie too. Highly recommend this hotel, perfect location on Las Ramblas, near lots of good restaurants and the room and staff were superb!"
"Champagne for guests at the meeting, very friendly staff, ready to help, asked more than once, never refused. Very good location, the view from the room was on the port, beautiful, cleaning is also normal, the only thing is that toilet paper is far from the toilet, you can at least put it on the counter next to it, so as not to reach for it"

HHuanqiuyuzhoulvxingjiaHotel Ohla Barcelona boasts an excellent location in the heart of downtown Barcelona, just a few minutes' walk from Plaça de Catalunya, Palau de la Música Catalana, Casa Batlló, and Passeig de Gràcia, making it incredibly convenient for sightseeing. The hotel's hygiene is impeccable, and its decor is luxurious, with a highly artistic design evident in both the restaurant and the lobby. The staff are attentive and enthusiastic, very proactive, and pay great attention to detail. Upon arrival, we were greeted with complimentary champagne, tea, and iced drinks. The breakfast is high-class, offering champagne, salmon, premium jamón, as well as Chinese pan-fried and steamed dumplings, and miso soup, all of which are delicious. The rooftop outdoor pool provides a spectacular view of the city skyline – truly a luxurious vista! The only drawback in the room was that the shower's temperature control was sluggish, and the water temperature adjustment seemed slightly faulty. Nevertheless, this is an outstanding five-star hotel!
GGuest UserThe location is really good. The swimming pool is very small. It is quiet compared to the surroundings.
It is nice that there are no Koreans. However, the city tax is too expensive.
I didn't know they charged the city tax every single day. I had breakfast twice and stayed for 6 nights,
and it came out to 170 euros.
TTravelBrujaOnix Fira seems like a junior hotel in that it has a great deal of potential, but consistently falls short and seems to be having some crisis of identity and growing pains as a hotel.
TLDR: I would not stay here again at the rate I paid at booking. It is a decent hotel, but one should only pay $105-$120/night for what it offers.
Here’s what’s going right for it:
- very clean facilities and room
- located across from a mall that also has a grocery store , which is great for grabbing anything you forgot to pack or raw veggies
- a nice 2nd floor reading area
- a nice rooftop terrace for doing yoga if you bring a mat
I have 3 years of experience working for major brand hotels. Here’s where I think Onix Fira can stand to improve:
- greeting guests at reception (did a guest have a long journey? Express curiosity, compassion and enthusiasm for the effort they’ve already made. No one wants to be on a 14 hour flight and be received by someone in a bad mood who looks like they have better things to do).
- common sense fixes: a) put hooks on the bathroom doors so guests can hang wet towels, b) have a soap dish for your soap, c) the consequence of imitation stainless steel buttons for the toilet.. they leave fingerprint stains that look gross, d) have a blanket or bedspread available in the room and not just the top sheet even though it’s hot out, e) add hair dryers in bathroom, f) have a complimentary bottle of water ready for guests when they enter tthieir room, especially if it’s 90 degree weather in the summer. That’s humane. And no one charging $200/night+ has any business offering less
- more pool lounge chairs during the summer
- advertise with photos that don’t use a fishbowl lens, be honest that the pool is small
- advertise honestly that one must climb 1.5 slights of stairs to reach pool. That’s an accessibility issue for disabled guests
- have replenished towels available for guests
- have the pool hours actually open during posted hours
- offer activities for solo travelers to socialize; you have a whole beautiful 2nd floor level that could be a great space for games, wine tasting, a silly interaction of your choice. I never saw anyone use this space and activities could make the stay more worthwhile.
- offer concierge services and recommendations
- have a manager on duty available to talk to guests 7 days/week
-consider different hallway lighting than red light; red light feels like a *******
Some specific stuff that went wrong in my stay:
- key card for room stopped working after one night
- power/electricity/AC went out 3x in one night
- no one advertised there was construction in front of the hotel .. a total eyesore and noisy during weekdays
- drunk guy wandering my floor thst no one stopped at reception and/or no one accompanied him to his room to make sure he wasn’t upsetting
- no manager or person with decision making power was available to answer questions
- no complimentary services offered for various inconveniences, not even empathy offered
Hope things get better!
GGuest UserIt was a very clean accommodation and plenty of towels were provided.
It was a little inconvenient because laundry was done in a shared facility on the 5th floor, and I was a little disappointed that they assigned me a room with a rear view without even asking how many rooms had a view of the Sagrada. There is a rest area and a pool on the rooftop, so it would be nice when the weather is nice. The location is far from major tourist attractions, so it's a bit inconvenient to take the subway every day, so if I had to do it again, I think I'd pick it near Plaza Catalunya.
GGuest UserThe check in experience was so horrible. After I presented my passport to the receptionists (3 guys) in hotel front desk, they kept requesting me to show the boarding pass of my cancelled flight. If i could not show it, they don’t allow me to check in. I argued with them why I have to show my boarding pass and how can I have boarding pass if my flight is cancelled. They insisted I have to show, otherwise I could not check in. Their attitudes were so rude and I spent almost 40 min to show all documents I have on-hand, then they gave me my room key. The room assigned to me is not so comfortable because it is on ground floor without window facing outside streets. I don’t think it is tourist friendly at all.
Aalizee0511Pros:
1. Super convenient location! Just steps away from Casa Batlló, literally a 2-minute walk across the street.
2. No breakfast service, but they offer some snacks and coffee at the front desk on the ground floor.
3. The room has a minibar, but it's chargeable.
4. Free water is available at the front desk on the ground floor (see picture).
Cons:
1. The bedding is too soft, and all the pillows are quite high. My neck was killing me the first night, and by the second night, my back started hurting too...
2. Only towels and toilet paper are provided; no other amenities.
GGuest UserThe room itself was really good: clean, comfortable and spacious. However, my first impression of the stay and the stuff of the hotel was suboptimal, which coloured the whole experience.
I arrived at the hotel at about 1 p.m. First thing that surprised me was the fact that there were actually 2 hotels and only one of them had a check-in desk, to find which I had to ask around. When I finally arrived at the reception, I was second in line as there were some people checking out. While I was waiting a family (parents and a child) came in, and then one more group of travellers arrived. When the receptionist was done with the people who were before me, I asked to be checked in. In response, I got told that she was going to check the family in first. She wasn’t apologetic or nice about, she told me this as if that was what always happened and not that people got served in the order of their arrival. I am sure the family really appreciated what she’d done and I wouldn’t have minded either if that action was followed with acknowledgement of this not being okay and an offer of some services to recover their reputation. Not only had I not got an apology or anything like that but also I was again bypassed for registration as the receptionist decided to invite 5 people who came in later on to check them out. At that point me and other people in the line were quite baffled by the behaviour and understood that there was nothing fair about this interaction.
After I was finally checked in and went back to the other side of the street for my hotel, the room pleasantly surprised me. It was clean and had all the necessary amenities. However, I was a bit confused at first by the thing you need to do to get electricity. I was told by a friend that the system of inserting the key card into a specific slot in order to get electricity is now the norm, but this month I’ve been to 5 different hotels and all of them had different systems and none of them were this particular one, so I personally would’ve appreciated a heads up or an informative poster on the door. The only downside of the room that I found was that that side of the street was quite loud. It was much better with the windows closed, however, if you are a light sleeper, I recommend taking ear plugs.
The rest of the stay went pretty okay for me, but that first experience unfortunately is something I’ll never forget.
If you are travelling as a family, I would imagine this hotel would prioritise you over other guests any time, so maybe that’s just who they cater to. As a solo traveler, however, this was not what I was expecting.
AaaaaabbThe Nobu Hotel is excellent! The rooms are spacious, and the sofa is beautiful and stylish, showing great design. The bathroom has double sinks and a well-planned layout. The distant views are also very nice. There's a subway station within a 5-minute walk, making transportation very convenient. A large supermarket is right next door, less than 2 minutes away, so you can easily get bread, milk, and fruit for breakfast. The area feels safe, making it a great choice for travelers!
RRana.cletaI loved the hotel, it's big, it always has air conditioning so it feels like a cool place. In the kitchen there is a large dining room where you can heat your food and refill your water bottle. The room is small I stayed in female of 6 and well the locker is under the bed so you have to sit on the floor and so there is no chair to use in the room. The air in the room is great. The perfect bedspread! There is no external noise but the private bathroom is too small the minimal shower they should put something for the floor because it is all wet but in general I loved the place! The wifi works perfectly
PP_AGA good hotel in a accessible location just outside of Barcelona. Breakfast was good with generous variety of options. Rooms are a little on the small side but the balcony provided was spacious. The staff at the hotel are very accommodating and polite. I would definitely stay again when visiting Barcelona.
