"Check in was very awkward and slow, instead of just info to the person at the desk you have to scan a qt code and put in an extensive list of your information (which isnt always clear what its asking you for) and once you've done this it gives you a code. You then give this code to the desk person, where they proceed to confirm all the details you just submitted anyway so this seemed like a pointless step and judging by the queue at reception it creates quite a hold up and is generally not very welcoming. I also recieved no info about breakfast options either. After all this, the room was basic but clean so not much to complain about. Location is very handy so for the price not bad but check in needs to be wither made fully self check in or just be normal like everywhere else."

"Very good position and locate in between Piccadilly station and Victoria station, just around 10 minutes walking time. Near the China Town and other view points. Lots of restaurants, pubs and stores nearby. I will book again next time."

"Fast checkin. Great value considering quality and prices in the surrounding area. Comfortable stay. Didn't go to the restaurant but nice to have it handy as nothing to eat nearby. But 15 minutes walk gets you to some great eateries. Happy to stay here again! Oh, and rooms had some interesting mindful features (seem pics) 🫶"

"The location is convenient, within walking distance to the city center and Manchester University. Although the room is small, it's fully equipped with a hairdryer and kettle, and there's complimentary coffee and tea. The hotel doesn't have a car park, but the staff were very friendly and explained that there's paid parking next to the hotel. You only need to pay until 8 PM, and then it's free until 8 AM the next morning. Thanks to the hotel staff for their help."

"Great stay at Holiday Inn Manchester! The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the breakfast was good too. As it was my first time visiting the UK, I didn’t realize that check-out time was 11:00 am. The staff kindly called to remind me, and even allowed me to check out at 12:00 pm without any issues. I really appreciated their understanding and excellent hospitality. Thank you!"

"I first stayed here 19 years ago when it was around 500 RMB. Now, due to a game day and exchange rates, it's about 1000 RMB a night, so the value for money is a bit worse. The lobby and staircase have been renovated, losing some of their old-world charm. Pros: 1. Excellent security – they check everyone entering after 10 PM. 2. Great service – they took very good care of my luggage. 3. Good location."

"The room was a bit outdated and the carpet was really dirty. The bathroom needs to be redecorated. It was a bit cold in the room and it was smelly, no heating. The breakfast was nice, buffet set with the traditional English breakfast, the food was quite tasty."

"Considering the price, which was a few hundred, and the room size, it wasn't bad. However, the standalone chair was quite dirty. Since I didn't have breakfast or use any other hotel services, to be fair, I gave four stars for everything else. Aside from the dirty chair, everything else was okay. The location is truly excellent. It's right by Oxford train station and Oxford Road, with plenty of supermarkets, Chinese supermarkets, Yang Guo Fu Malatang, Sichuan restaurants, hot pot places, and even Jiangzhehu-style noodle shops nearby. There's also a bus stop right outside the door."

"Service - nice, the staff members are very friendly and kind. I will give 4 of 5. Breakfast - they don’t have lot of variety of breakfast. But what they have is alright and taste okay. I will give 4 of 5. Location - good and bad. The good part is it is close to a lot of places. For example, art gallery, the library. So it is really good for people want a convenient travel. However, the location is very very noisy at night, and some how, our room is not sound proof enough, at Friday night, a bunch of people singing on the street with microphones at 11:30pm, and we can hear all of them (we are in fifth floor, don’t know how people in the first floor would feel about it..). Room facility - bad. It is not a 4 star hotel level. They do not provide fridge or room bar. The Tv is very old and the carpet of the hotel is very old and a bit dirty. The table and chair on the room is squeeze, and not stable. The whole room is just very old. Room clean service - good, they do the service good and in time. In general, I don’t think this should be a four star hotel - at least based on our experience. It could be a alright three star hotel and a normal two star hotel.
