Excellent service at Hyatt Regency Chennai! ⭐️ A special mention to Ranjinikanth, Syed and Isaac, who were absolutely wonderful throughout our stay. They helped us with our baggage, assisted us whenever we needed anything, and always greeted us warmly with a smile whenever they saw us. Their attentiveness, kindness and genuine care made us feel truly welcomed and well looked after. They went above and beyond, and we really appreciate their excellent service. Where do I begin? Travelling with a toddler is no easy task, and the team at Taj Connemara made it worthwhile, smooth, and exciting. It all began with Ms Jasmine who religiously followed up with all our requests and requirements for childproofing the Heritage Room we stayed. From additional mineral water bottles, bumpers on furniture, soft toys for bath, and an excellent baby cot, Ms Jasmine coordinated with her ground team and got everything ready before we checked in. The icing on the cake was the remarkable welcome gift for our daughter consisting of excellent baby skincare products from an established brand.  The stay itself was fantastic with a cosy room, abundance of toiletries, and exceptional breakfast. Shoutout to Mr Baskaran for attending to all our breakfast requests for our daughter. The baby dosa was a hit!  Located in a prime spot in Chennai next to Spencer Plaza and the newer EA Mall, Taj Connemara is strategic. Travel to major shopping centres and traditional clothing stores was made easy.  Last but not least, the hospitality and polite service offered by the staff of Taj Connemara was nothing short of amazing. The hotel is good, and the service was very nice. There was a wide spread of options in the buffet. The initial room we were given had a damp smell, but as soon as I reported it, the staff promptly swapped it for a better one. Overall, it was a good experience.

Returning to this location after eight years, I was hoping for the same 5star experience I once enjoyed. Unfortunately, it’s not quite what it used to be, and the property is beginning to show its age. On a positive note, the staff were warm and courteous throughout—from the reception to the restaurant team. Their professionalism and friendliness was a highlight of the stay. The restaurant manager Nazim was helpful. However, the room was disappointing. Upon entering, there was a strong musty odor. When I mentioned this to the front desk, I was told all the rooms have this smell and that it would dissipate in about 10 minutes—but unfortunately, it lingered. It seems guests may simply become accustomed to it over time. Not me.. lol. The Colony restaurant offered a decent breakfast, though dinner not that much. It felt overcrowded and cramped, and the buffet menu was not the greatest, with food quality was just average. The key strengths of this location remain its convenient setting, friendly staff, and ample parking. With some updates and improvements, it could once again live up to its former reputation.

We loved our stay here! Cleanliness to service was brilliant. Coming from Singapore, we were little worried about the hotel and cleanliness but with no doubt it was superb. Infact we don't have a complaint. We had hotel breakfast, dinner buffet, dinner ala carte at the ground level restaurant (part of the hotel) food was good, ambience is beautiful and I must say Navaneeth and ashiq were such warm and friendly boys, serving with smiles, checking on us and even other customers esp elderly folks. That is one of the best service etiquettes we have seen. Their communication skills with a little humour was a hats off! Definitely coming back and definitely recommending family and friends. Totally no regrets. Thank you residency towers team. Keep up the good work and spirit!

Extremely happy with the room, food and staff. It was a lovely location Would definitely return to stay again

My stay began on a disappointing note. I arrived at the lobby on a Sunday afternoon and waited nearly 40 minutes before anyone attended to me. Although I was clearly in line, a couple of other guests approached the desk and were assisted before me. I expected the concierge or front-desk staff to notice the situation and assist guests in the order they arrived, but unfortunately, that did not happen. Once I was finally checked in, I was assigned a room on the fourth floor. The room itself was acceptable. I generally do not have particularly high expectations regarding hotel-room ambience, as I find that it often does not vary significantly across hotels, regardless of their star rating. What I found especially unreasonable was the hotel’s pricing. Items available in the room, such as a Snickers bar priced at ₹155 and a packet of Lay’s priced at ₹55, ***** with peanuts and carbonated drinks, were listed at several times their normal retail prices. The markup was so excessive that it made me wonder whether the hotel actually wanted guests to consume these items or was simply trying to impose an unnecessary and inflated expense. The same applied to transportation. The hotel quoted ₹1,800 plus taxes for a sedan to the airport. I booked an Uber for the exact same journey for ₹699. Charging well over twice the market price—and then adding taxes on top of it—is frankly absurd. Hotel convenience may reasonably come at a premium, but this felt less like a premium service and more like an attempt to take advantage of guests. The complimentary breakfast, however, offered a wide variety of options and was probably the most redeeming part of the stay.

good services and location. silent atmosphere good food and variety of breakfast. the only problem was that in online booking it is shown smoking is allowed where in it is a non smoking property. should change it becomes difficult for smokers

It was nice stay I. Chennai , good location , staffs are supportive and friendly , lots of shopping malls and entertainment near by , Overall very good hotel for reasonable price .

Temporary fixed old hotel, good price, good service, no need to be too detailed, basically has made the level of more than 500 hotels in China.
