"It's about a ten-minute drive from Izu Kogen Station. The hotel is quite large, divided into several areas, ranging from luxury to economy. We booked a Japanese-style suite in the main building with a great view. The hotel has many free facilities that you can check on the map and experience one by one. The hot spring facility next door has an open-air bath. Soaking in the hot springs by the moonlit sea at night was very relaxing, with the constant sound of the waves. The breakfast included sashimi and various snacks, which was quite rich, but the selection was almost identical for two consecutive days. I'm giving three stars for service, specifically for the front desk. This hotel has quite a few Indian staff members. So why only three stars? The 5th, 6th, and 7th floors of the hotel all have scenic ocean view rooms, but Chinese guests are always assigned to the 5th floor or rooms near the elevator. Having stayed at many hotels, I can sense the subtle discrimination and differential treatment here. If the price booked through Ctrip is lower than what Japanese tourists pay, then disregard my comment. Finally, this hotel is very family-friendly, perfect for those with children. If you prefer quiet, a hotel of this size won't be quiet at all; you should choose a smaller onsen ryokan instead."

"My friend and I stayed here for one night during our summer university vacation. While many accommodations offer purely functional service, I was truly touched by the warm hospitality of the staff here. What really stood out was the staff's personality. One particular staff member, fluent in both Japanese and Chinese, gave us recommendations for local restaurants and provided attentive service while maintaining a comfortable distance. The free shuttle service to Jogasaki Coast was also incredibly helpful. We enjoyed pleasant chats during the ride, and being able to save on bus fare and reallocate it to other sightseeing expenses was a huge bonus. Just a 10-second walk from the main building, the open-air bath, though compact, featured reclining baths and meticulously maintained plants. Combined with the night sky, it was a highly satisfying hot spring experience that perfectly soothed away our travel fatigue. I was amazed by the outstanding value for money, especially considering all these fantastic amenities for just 10,000 yen per room. This has definitely become one of my favorite places to stay, and I hope to visit again soon."

"Paid a fortune for a hotel that was utterly ordinary. The breakfast and dinner were all show – fancy-looking dishes with no real substance or flavor. I can't understand why they charge such high room rates. The room itself was old, and there were so many mosquitoes I couldn't sleep a wink. The in-room hot spring was just an old, small, tiled bathtub. Aside from the hot spring, there were no other facilities to enjoy. In all my years of traveling, this is the first time I've ever booked a hotel with such terrible value for money. If it were around 2000 RMB a night, it might be acceptable, but anything more is completely not worth it. Everything was subpar except for the good service."

"The hot spring was very comfortable; it's essentially a small, rural inn offering a one-night stay with two meals. The food was just okay, and there were mosquitoes in the hotel, which wasn't ideal. Also, Chinese tourists should be aware that to the left of the hotel's main entrance, there's a large monument inscribed with something like ”In memory of the heroic spirits of the Imperial Army.” Given the significant number of Chinese guests, I'd suggest the hotel consider their feelings and perhaps reorient the main entrance. "This is a great onsen hotel. First, regarding transportation: the hotel is near Izu-Kogen JR station, about a 10-15 minute walk. However, I highly recommend against walking with luggage as there are many uphill sections. The hotel offers a shuttle bus service from the JR station in the afternoon, reportedly every 15 minutes. After booking, the hotel will inform you of the bus schedule. One thing to note is that the bus stops in the parking lot and the hotel name on the bus is 'Hachiman-no-Onsen-no-Sato' (八幡野温泉之乡), not 'Kira-no-Sato' (基拉之乡) as listed on Ctrip. Next, let's talk about the hotel environment and facilities. It has a rustic resort style, with farmland, a waterwheel, and a stream within the premises, creating a very pleasant and tranquil atmosphere. We chose a Japanese-style room on the second floor; there's no elevator, and while the room facilities are a bit old, they are well-maintained. The public bath (dai-yokujo) has several pools, both indoor and outdoor, which are quite nice. Finally, about the service: This hotel seems to be a traditional four-star onsen hotel. The staff's service is attentive and efficient, but not overly enthusiastic. The front desk offers complimentary drinks, and there are free snacks at different times of the day. Both the breakfast and dinner, included with the 'one night, two meals' plan, were excellent. Over half of the hotel guests are Japanese. Overall, it was a very good experience."
