"The hotel is very big with the Main, East, North and Annex Towers. I booked a 3-night in July 26 in Annex Towers. The room is clean and very quiet and the aircon is also very quiet. This gave me a very good rest during my short stay. The staff are generally friendly. The train station is just across the hotel. This made travelling very convenient. There are several shops and restaurants in the hotel and prices are affordable. There is also a 7-Eleven on the second floor."

"An office worker's experience. Capsule, pajamas, towel, slippers are provided. The shared showers and sauna are good. However, the capsules can get a bit stuffy if you close yourself in. The common area is minimalistic and small, just a few sofas. Based on reviews, you need to take all your belongings out of the capsule every day. So, basically, sleep for a night and then head back to the office."

"Lovely boutique hotel in a fantastic location. About 8 minutes walk from the metro, one stop from Shibuya, many other transport links. Ebisu station has many stores for great shopping from food to clothing and more, very convenient. Surrounded by an abundance of really good restaurants, some literally just downstairs from hotel. At least 3 convenience stores just around the corner. Staff were also very helpful and courteous. Great selection of amenities and extras at reception. I would stay again. Ebisu is easily one of my favourite areas to stay in Tokyo. Not crazy busy but lots to explore. Note, it's a boutique hotel, so not particularly spacious but the location definitely makes up for it. Highly recommended as a convenient base for a few days."

"I always stay here whenever I am in Shibuya because its price and location wise is the most worth it around Shibuya area. Room is small but has everything you need. However one thing that stayed the same over the years is the hot/cold water shower system, hope the management can look to change it as it takes a long time for hot water to come out and when it does it becomes scalding hot. No complaints due to the excellent service standards (staff speak very good English) and its stone throw proximity to the New South Exit of JR Shibuya."

"The facilities are definitely old, but the location is still good. I always stay at this hotel every time I come to Japan because I'm used to it, and Roppongi is a pretty nice area to stay in. It's also close to the subway station. However, this time I was very disappointed; the room they gave me smelled terrible. Even after turning on the ventilation and spraying deodorizer, it still stank. The most disgusting part was that the bed sheets were dirty. I wouldn't have noticed if I hadn't brought disposable sheet covers. I couldn't stand it anymore and asked to change rooms. Their attitude was good, but the hygiene situation is really concerning. I won't be staying here again."

"Although the room, being under 20 square meters, is a bit small, it's very clean and well-arranged; opening a 29-inch suitcase is not an issue. The large public bath on the 16th floor is free for guests, and it's incredibly relaxing to soak in after a long day. The lobby is on the 15th floor and has a terrace with a nice view. Complimentary coffee and drinks are offered at the welcome bar, which is a great bonus to the service."

"The room was spacious, featuring three beds and a sofa bed. It had large floor-to-ceiling windows, allowing me to enjoy the scenery right from the sofa bed. On the other side, there was a bar area, also with floor-to-ceiling windows, and a table with lounge chairs that offered a fantastic view of Tokyo Tower. Whether it was a clear day or a sparkling night, the view was always captivating and offered a different ambiance. The breakfast was also rich and varied."

"Front desk and housekeeping staff were very kind but the hotel itself lacked some basic amenities like a suitcase rack, cotton swabs and most importantly for me, a smoking area. I understand that smoking is strictly regulated in Shibuya, but given that fact it would be nice for the hotel to provide a designated area rather than instructing guests to walk 5 blocks each way to the often crowded public smoking area at Ebisu Station. Every other hotel I’ve stayed at in Japan has provided this. If you are a smoker definitely look elsewhere. Room and facilities were relatively clean but small and not thoughtfully designed. Only two small hooks with 2 hangers each for clothing. Many marks on the walls, especially the toilet which felt somewhat unhygienic. Decorative moss on the wall had a strange odor, and after handing you a bottle of water at check in you’re on your own for pretty much everything. Breakfast was quite basic served with plastic cutlery and often sold out of anything but plain toast by 9am. Despite the shortcomings the location was good and front desk was apologetic for lack of amenities."

"This hostel is really great! Even though it's a shared dorm, you still get a good sense of privacy. The showers are plentiful and super clean. They also have a washer and dryer (only 300 yen combined!). The elevator is a huge plus! There's a fridge for your food and a microwave available. Around the hostel, there are restaurants, cafes, and convenience stores open all the time. It's super close to Meguro Station, making travel incredibly convenient. They provide hair dryers too. Fresh towels are given daily. The staff here are incredibly lovely. I stayed from April 22-28. It seemed my slippers were collected on the morning of April 24th, and I happened to bump into a male staff member. I asked for a new pair, and he immediately brought them to me. So sweet! I wish the check-out time could be extended a bit. 10 AM is a little early; I'd love it if it could be 11:30 AM or even 12:00 PM."

GGuest UserI had a wonderful 4-night stay here during my trip to Japan. The hotel was exceptionally clean, and the staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help. For the price, it offers excellent value. The breakfast was delicious with a good variety of options, making it a great way to start each day. The room size is what you would typically expect in Japan—compact but well-designed and comfortable. It had everything we needed, and the hotel provided all the essential amenities. Fresh towels were replaced daily, along with two complimentary bottles of water. One thoughtful touch I really appreciated was the housekeeping service. Even when we put up the ”Do Not Disturb” sign, they fully respected our privacy and never entered the room. Instead, they hung fresh towels and bottled water on our door every day. The hotel also displayed the daily weather forecast at the reception, which was very helpful when planning our itinerary. On the day we checked out, it was raining. The receptionist patiently showed us how to get to the Skyliner through the underground station so we could avoid walking in the rain. Their kindness and excellent service truly left a lasting impression. Overall, this hotel exceeded my expectations in terms of cleanliness, service, and value for money. I would definitely stay here again on my next trip to Japan. Highly recommended!

SshzhkazhI was very satisfied and stayed here again on my trip to Tokyo. The breakfast was delicious, the transportation was very convenient, the staff service was excellent, and I slept comfortably. Suidobashi Station is right outside, and Tokyo Dome is behind it, which is great for shopping. It's really convenient to go anywhere from here. I highly recommend staying here when you come to Tokyo.

GGuest User• located at the furthest exit from the Ikebukuro train station. have to walk about 10-15 minutes to get to the Yamanote line. the surrounding is also filled with a lot of sus shops, with girls standing around at night holding papers and shouting at men. if you’re a female they won’t bother you but if you’re a guy stay safe.  • at night can hear some shouting from the street as well.  • good; have Refa hair dryer, hair wash etc. there’s also a laundry machine, microwave, etc. which was really nice. • space wise, I think that it is very spacious especially for a solo traveller with only one luggage but if you have two, there might not be enough space for you to open your luggage.

GGuest UserThough small, this hotel has everything you need. Its Ginza location is incredibly convenient, perfect for shopping or quickly getting to Narita Airport via the expressway. What truly impressed me is how many features are packed into such a compact space. They have a coin-operated laundry and a large public bath. The room, which I'd estimate at about 20 square meters, even managed to fit bunk beds (1.2m/1.5m), making it very family-friendly. A minor point is that since the hotel is directly above the subway, you occasionally feel vibrations as trains pass. This led to a funny moment when an actual earthquake hit at night, and I initially thought it was just another train going by!

JJackyMy overall experience with this stay was quite complex, feeling more like a test of service management capabilities. On the first day, the room cleaning quality was noticeably below expectations. The wash area, countertop details, and some amenities weren't clean enough, and the bedding wasn't tidied properly. From a housekeeping management perspective, this felt more like a failure in process execution rather than an isolated incident, and it definitely affected my first impression. However, after I raised the issue, the hotel's recovery actions were prompt. In the following days, the room cleaning was significantly more standardized, with noticeable improvements in detail. This indicates that the hotel is capable of good service, but the initial day's execution standards simply weren't met. In contrast, Trip.com's service experience during this incident left a deeper impression. The customer service proactively followed up, communicated efficiently, and handled the situation professionally. They were able to push for problem resolution from a customer experience perspective, demonstrating a mature platform service system. This level of after-sales responsiveness is quite high among current online travel platforms. Overall Rating: The hotel's hardware and positioning are fine, but there's room for improvement in service consistency, especially regarding the first-day delivery standards of housekeeping management. Trip.com's coordination and service performance in this incident, on the other hand, highlighted the professional value of their platform.

GGuest UserThe hotel is in an excellent location, conveniently situated near Ueno station and a nearby subway station, making travel around the city very easy. One of the highlights of the stay was the thoughtful amenities. The hotel offers an onsen, complimentary soba in the evening, and jelly desserts, which added a nice touch to the overall experience. The breakfast was especially impressive-delicious and well worth the price. The room size(around14square meters) was impact but comfortable, suitable for 2 people. Additional blankets can be requested at the front desk if needed. The staff were friendly, always smiling, and very throughout the stay. Overall, I was very impressed with the hotel and had a great experience. The downside was the elevator, which can be slow and crowded during peaking times. However, if you’re staying on a lower floor, using the stairs is a convenient alternative.

JJoyful TravellerWhile this hotel has a convenient location, the experience was ruined by a lack of basic hospitality and very cramped quarters. The room was so small it was difficult to even open two large suitcases. More disappointing, however, was the staff’s attitude. Everything is followed strictly 'by the book' with zero flexibility. I was told a late check-out would be charged by the hour, and even a simple request for a complimentary bottle of water was flatly denied. The staff were condescending and never offered a smile, making for a very unwelcoming environment. A small gesture like a bottle of water costs almost nothing but earns customer loyalty; unfortunately, this hotel chooses rigid rules over guest satisfaction. I would not recommend staying here.

GGuest UserI liked this place. A pretty standard classic capsule hotel: sizeable capsule with a console, daily turnover service, large shower and onsen room with an attached steam room. Service was good: they have an army of twinks working there after hours, it was like being checked in by BTS. All issues I had with my capsule (broken lightbulb) were addressed quickly and cheerfully. Sometimes it kinda seemed like they were laughing at a few of the foreign guests, but you know what, fair. This place is kinda rules heavy, with lots of notices posted around the property. There is no eating or drinking in the capsules, and instead you have to go to this common area that feels a bit like a hospice for abandoned uncles. Vending machines, manga library, smoking cubicles, that sorta thing. Clean and tidy though, equal numbers of dudes using it for remote working and day drinking (I have a feeling that some ppl live in this place). They have the usual elaborate system of lockers and keys, but they will store your luggage for you while you are out. No need to check out in the day. Overall a chill experience. While I was staying there though some dude did have a mini breakdown about what he saw as it's shortcomings, so I just wanted to comment on that. According to him the place was disgusting. He was especially perturbed by the housekeeping service and the showers. His claim was the the toilets were dirty and that it was unacceptable to fold bedsheets on the floor. Mind you, he was having this rant at 10:30 - checkout is at 10:00, meaning that a whole stampede of airport-bound weebs had just taken spicy ramen fuelled power dumps so they could get out of there on time. Most of the day the facilities were pretty spotless in my opinion. In regards to folding the bedsheets on the floor, I dunno what in the Disney princess he was expecting, but there really isn't anywhere else to do it. I think it's unreasonable to expect little doves to come fly your linens into your capsule tbh. The capsules are literally on... the floor! What do you want? His overall complaint that the space was generally messy was a lot more valid. At this point I had a suspicion that they kind of segregated foreigners from Japanese customers. It's true, that the foreign floor was a bit of a tip - luggage thrown around, empty bottles everywhere, garbage. I went up to the Japanese floors to snoop around a bit. Spotless. (Pictures of both included for comparison) In this case I think the call is coming from inside the capsule, not really fair to hold the staff accountable to your own messy manners. His final gripe was about the showers - specifically the lack of private cubicles. Private cubicles were not advertised anywhere and Japanese onsens are pretty standardly communal spaces, so again I dunno what he wanted. Maybe a shower, with a curtain? Maybe a shower with a door? Maybe a shower with a psychic forcefield that would make his ex girlfriends forget his underwhelming junk and prevent his father from behind disappointed in him? I'm not sure. But I guess the dozen shower stations with soap, shampoo, and face wash weren't cutting it. In fact a lot of the Western guests seemed pretty pranged out by the shower situation, waiting until like two am to wash up and then scurrying around the baths with a hand towel infront of their package like a little purse. If you regret going bald, that's on you. Kinda silly, but if you are bashful maybe this also isn't the hotel for you. Unreasonable though to blame the establishment for you own shame. Anyway, that's all to say the worst part of my stay was for sure the ranting and raving from an unshowered backpacker while I was trying to have a lie in. Otherwise a pretty decent stay.

CCarey LoyCenturion Hotel Ueno was a complete disappointment, falling short of basic hospitality standards. The deception started right at check-in: the room was explicitly advertised and booked as a ”Casual Double Bed,” but what we actually received was a cramped single bed. This blatant misrepresentation immediately compromised the comfort of our stay. The lack of care extended into the bathroom, which was a major letdown. The sink and shower area were marred by very bad, visible marks that made the entire space feel neglected and unhygienic. For a hotel that positions itself in a convenient location like Ueno, the absolute disregard for accurate room descriptions and rigorous housekeeping is unacceptable.
