Hotels near Fushimi Inari Station, Kyoto

The receptionist was polite and patient. She explained everything and the check in process was so quick that I could just leave my luggage and head towards fushimi inari. The room was clean and the bed was comfy. It had a slight smell of cigarette in the room though, it was not a deal breaker for me. The breakfast buffet was not spectacularly special. It was not as extraordinary as what was commented by another person in the comment section. Just the standard breakfast buffet you could find in Japan and a few extra Kyoto specialties, which I didn’t prefer. To travel to the nearest train station, it needs some distance. I was fine with it as I could stroll in the neighbour that I find it enjoyable. Overall, I like this hotel. And I would definitely stay again if the price still affordable.

As a solo traveller I was surprised it is actually a love hotel which I did not pay attention when booking. It does not matter though. Very good condition and big space. Good breakfast included. It is also very nice having a massage chair. It is over 1km from train station which is slightly inconvenient from people with large luggage.   I did see a 1cm long bug on my pillow on the second day but I would think it is accidental considering the general cleanness is significantly better than most other hotels I stayed.

首先感謝的是酒店負責人，非常耐心和負責，我和同伴因為晚上從大阪趕車到京都，很晚才抵達酒店，入住前沒有收到入住碼所以比較心急，因此折騰了很久，但酒店負責人特別耐心接聽我們的電話，雖然語言不通但還是順利解決了入住問題，給她們造成麻煩了我們也很不好意思。這裏也同時感謝一下攜程客服的幫助，也有盡力為我們解決困難，真的非常感謝。 其次是酒店雖然就在街道旁，夜晚偶爾會聽到有一些摩託車駛過的聲音，但就是偶爾一下，影響真的不大。或許是隔音也做得比較好，我作為一個對環境音還算比較敏感的人士，我在入住三天的晚上，都能正常休息。 房間很乾凈整潔，空間算比較寬敞了，我和同伴一致很喜歡這個房間的佈局，洗浴是乾濕分離，浴室外也有洗烘一體的洗衣機。 酒店距離伏見稻荷車站步行距離很近，路上就能看見便利店、拉麪店、烏冬麪館等等（酒店房間茶几上還能看見酒店畫的附近美食店地圖，非常貼心！），餐館隨機進去一家都覺得非常美味。 總之入住體驗非常舒服愉快！

Mitsui Garden Hotel Kyoto Station: During autumn, they have a display in the lobby showing the fall foliage status of several temples, along with the day's weather. The rooms are decent, and it's not too far from Kyoto Station, but there's no public bath. You can pick up complimentary toiletries by the elevators. Staff greetings are a hit or miss. The biggest downside is breakfast; it's quite poor compared to other Mitsui hotels, with limited choices and average taste.

I was so impressed by this hotel's service of allowing guests to go out and having their rooms cleaned while they were out! I would definitely like to go back again!

Cute place to stay in a spacious mixed dorm. The dorm was well designed with lockers and lots of small shelves next to the bed plus a sink in the room. Bed was a little hard but not terrible. Found the self check-in process very convenient and clearly explained, you have to pay city tax and any extra charges separately before check-out, which you can do online with a qr code or cash if you have the exact amount. Nice to experience a more traditional building in Kyoto. The free rice porridge and teas and coffee was a great bonus. Plenty of convenience shops nearby and right near Kyoto Station. Overall a really relaxing and cosy place to stay!

This hotel was exceeding our expectations in many ways. The hotel staff was exceptional. The facility is clean. Breakfast was buffet style with so many choices. Will come back again.

Although it was short, I loved my stay here. Had great quality of sleep. Good base for Kyoto, near enough to key locations, but expect a lot of walking unless you use the bus. Nearest station is Kyoto Kawaramachi which is great for day drips just outside central Kyoto and if you are coming from Osaka or Kansai airport - see my tips below. Pros: great bathroom and toiletries, good water pressure and temperature, smart toilet, TV with streaming services, fridge, desk/stool, coat hooks (handy for winter time), semi-full length mirror, luggage rack, various lights to adjust to your preference, very clean, super comfortable firm mattress and pillows, good soundproofing for light sleepers, great air conditioning (room warms up pretty quickly in the winter), you can also open the windows which is nice, felt very safe as a solo female, can ask for more water bottles in reception, lift was never crowded, outlets next to bed, has luggage storage if you need, near the river and traditional streets for scenic strolls, close to bus stop, family mart otw from station for late night snacks. Cons: can hear police cars or cars with loud engines at night sometimes but not frequent, walking from the station with a suitcase was a bit longer than expected, my double room was a bit cramped for opening suitcase (could not open the front or bathroom doors fully to avoid hitting my suitcase) and I am one person (two suitcases would fit but you wouldn't be able to walk around the bed properly). Tips: If you are coming from Kansai airport (KIX), I recommend you take the airport limousine to Namba (bought a return ticket since it is cheaper). It drops you outside JR Namba station, you can go inside to get to the metro station, follow signs for the red Midosuji Line. Board the train to Umeda. Stay inside the station and follow signs for Osaka-Umeda or the brown Hankyu-Kyoto line. This line goes directly to Kyoto Kawaramachi station. When stations, always look for the lift signs if you have luggages. I think I took the lift closest to Exit 4, and it brings you up to a department store. You kinda have to walk through and get out. If you walk out the front entrance, there are a few steps, but if you go to the side doors, it has a slope to avoid carrying suitcases. It's a straight walk from the station. Unless you are doing day trips, Kyoto city buses are a lot better mode of transport in my opinion.

The shop owners are all Chinese, fluent in English, Japanese, and Chinese, and both men and women are very welcoming. From the hotel, walk straight to the left for one intersection, then turn right onto the main road; you'll see a FamilyMart convenience store. Walk straight to the right from the hotel onto the main road, then straight again, and you'll see a 7-Eleven. Actually, the 7-Eleven and FamilyMart are about the same size, but this 7-Eleven has a drawback: they don't have those mini sweet drinks! They don't have the kind of mini sweet drinks where fruit is juiced in a machine! The hotel is a 10-minute walk from the nearest subway station and has facilities like refrigerators. There's also a public laundry room on the first floor, but I don't know if I missed it, but it seems there's no ice machine. If you leave something behind, the hotel will send you an email reminder. While the facilities aren't as comprehensive as some Toyoko Resort hotels, it's still acceptable. Perhaps because it's a guesthouse, there's an additional 400 yen check-in tax for one night.
