Not so near to the metro station but is okay, the walk is nice with beautiful surrounding with good vibes. Love Kyoto. Walkable to the beautiful karmo river"

Breakfast is Japanese style, and there's always something to eat. Housekeeping is every three days. Coffee and sodas are available 24/7 from a machine at the reception."

"That was a pleasure to stay in there. Place was easy to find and the tips how to check-in and check-out were clear. Room was clean and comfortable, there were a lot of space, big beds, nice bathroom. And what is important: best shampoo I have ever used, truly. I really enjoyed staying in there and for sure will come back one day."

"Great location with various transportation options nearby, making it very convenient for getting around. It's just a few minutes' walk to the shopping street in Sanjo. The room was clean and the bedding comfortable. Breakfast had limited choices, but both the service and taste were satisfactory. The bathroom only provided toothbrushes and shower amenities, unlike other traditional Japanese business hotels that offer a full range of personal items. The lobby has a lounge area with complimentary 24-hour coffee, tea, and snacks. The staff were friendly and spoke fluent English. A separate accommodation tax needs to be paid upon check-out."

"Had good stay with room very spacious for 2 person (took twin bed room)..everything looks modern. Staff friendly and helpful. It’s 10-15mins walk to Gion District. Near to Sanjo Keihan Station, provides convenient access to Gion-Shijo and Higashiyama area. Easy access to public bus and train. Will stay here again on next visit."

"It was an incredibly well located hotel - within access of everything you'll need either walking or by the two train routes (subway or Keihan). Hotel were one of the most welcoming we experienced - personal reception service appears rarer in Japan and we really appreciated the warm welcome. Lots of amenities - you just have to get them at reception (all free). Top things for us: all day access to free coffee machine (iced matcha latte) and spacious room. Only negative for us was the bathroom (like being on a boat with all the enclosed plastic)."

"Very very dark in room. No view from window. No light coming in as opposite window is another building. Felt like a backpackers hostel, which I didn’t like. Can’t fault the cleanliness, however things are old. In saying that, we did not use the towels due to a bad damp smell -so I guess that’s a fault! Bed not the most comfortable, pillows very hard. One made of straw? Didn’t sleep very well. Lots of noise from street, loud music playing at 5am. Laundry room useful, but very dirty. Seems a place for 20-somethings backpacking on a budget. Another thing is they don’t clean the rooms, I didn’t really understand their policy on this, but they just refused to clean. I asked if they can change the rubbish bin and they just said to leave it outside. So things like teacups will be uncleaned/unchanged for days. I was told you can request to have the room cleaned but as I said, they refused. They do give you clean towels and comp water daily in a tote bag which is left outside the room. One member of staff was very nice, I told her about the room cleaning and she apologised. Staff very friendly and polite. Location is right in main shopping area on a main road."

"I've stayed here twice in the last six months, and the experience remains consistently good. The front desk staff are as warm and polite as ever. When I mentioned there was only one chair in our deluxe corner room for two people, they immediately arranged for another one from the restaurant, which was a great help. The deluxe corner room is spacious and comfortable, and the shower water pressure is excellent. Housekeeping was prompt and the room was very clean. This hotel is perfect for tourists, and I'll definitely be back during autumn leaf season."

"I strongly recommended this hotel. This hotel has spacous room with a big washroom, nice and elegant feel. I got two nights staying in kyoto, the location is very convenient and just around 3 mins walk to the main street for shopping and eating places. The bed is very comfortable, we got a very present stay here, I will sure book this hotel if I visited Kyoto again. Also we got free drinks and entry to the roof top lounge, we can spent a calm night watching the city view, it's also a good place for working holiday person too, the lounge also got complimentary meeting room as we saw. Overall, very appreciated our choice of picking this hotel."

"We had a fabulous room that faced inwards onto the green wall. It was bright during the day and spectacular lit up at night. The buffet breakfast is great with a very wide range of great quality Japanese and western foods"
