Jr East Hotel Mets Premier Makuhari Toyosuna

Amazing

The stay at Jr East Hotel METS Premier Makuhari was great. The allow us to add additional bed for Yen6000 per night. The location was superb with less than 2 minutes walk to Aeon Mall for your shopping and 2 minutes walk to the train station. There is a great Lalaport Mall at Minami-Funabashi Station, 2 stops away. The hotel staffs were polite and friendly. There is a free Drinks machine at the lobby with fantastic UCC coffee and Cocao. The room was spacious, clean and new. Highly recommended to stay. Thank you.

The location is very convenient, and the rooms meet the standard of a Japanese hotel chain. There is a great variety of Japanese breakfast options, all with good flavor. The staff provides excellent service, and the late-night Ochazuke (rice with tea) is a delicious touch.

The rooms are small but clean, and the beds are comfortable. It's nice that the windows can be opened for fresh air and ventilation. The public bath and laundry facilities are also very convenient. Whenever I visit Chiba, I always stay at Shuranza.

Decided to attend Tokyo Comic Con last minute and booked this hotel. Hotel prices always skyrocket when there's an event in Makuhari, so there's not much you can do about that. The hotel itself is quite old, the lobby is grand, but the front desk area is small and the service attitude wasn't great. The room size was moderate and it even had a balcony, which is quite rare. Unfortunately, it faced the parking lot, so there was no view. The facilities were a bit dated, and the bedding was very uncomfortable. The floor had new laminate, which was nice, but the downside was the noise. The hotel breakfast area was pleasant and the variety was quite good, but the taste was just average.

Perhaps because it's a new hotel, the facilities were excellent and the layout was great. I've stayed in many hotels in Japan, but I can honestly say this had the best facilities. The public bath was fantastic, and the snacks were well-stocked. I also liked that the bathroom in the room was spacious and well-separated. I'd love to visit again with my family next time.

This trip was to watch a VNL game. Since the venue was Chiba Port Stadium, I used JR Chiba Station as my search point. When looking for accommodation, I noticed that rooms in Tokyo within my budget were generally small. The rooms at this hotel were quite different in size. Reviews mentioned the hotel's facilities were geared towards a ”love hotel” atmosphere, so although I was a little hesitant, I booked it anyway because I had a companion. Upon checking in, I found the room to be incredibly spacious. The bathroom was separate from the toilet, and the bathtub was large enough to lie down in. There was a dressing area next to the sink. The bedroom, besides the bed, also had a small living room. Two suitcases could be easily opened. In addition to the room amenities, the hotel lobby offered many supplies (different brands of shampoo, bath salts, and basic skincare products), simple snacks, and red and white wine (though I didn't try them, so I don't know how they tasted). The posters also showed some free facilities that could be reserved (rock bath, karaoke, etc.), but we didn't use them, so I don't know how they were. Breakfast was included, and it was quite delicious. Overall, the stay was very comfortable, and it's very close to Chiba Chuo Station on the Keisei Electric Railway, making transfers to Tokyo convenient. Now that I've covered the pros, let's talk about the cons 😆 First, judging from the room's amenities, it really feels like a Japanese ”love hotel.” There are sheer curtains on the bedside pillars that can be lowered (like a princess bed?), and the bedroom and bathroom lights can be adjusted (for ambiance?). Balinese-style music plays throughout the hotel, which is in comparison to other hotels I've stayed at. The biggest drawback is that at night, the entire street outside the hotel is lined with male escorts. Although they know we're foreigners and won't bother us, having to navigate through them to get to convenience stores and shops near the station still felt quite stressful. If you're a solo female traveler planning to stay at this hotel, please definitely consider this factor.

Capsule Hotel the Inn

I had a wonderful experience at Capsule Hotel The Inn. The building was within walking distance from Chiba Station, which I reached from the Narita airport using one train within an hour, which was a huge plus. The area was very quiet, and I slept really well in my cozy capsule. My cubicle was well equipped with a TV, lamp, locker, hand sanitizer, cups for water (they even provided a bottle of water at check-in), and there were candies waiting for me inside — such a nice touch! I truly had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The cleanliness was 5 out of 5! 👍🏻 Check-in was smooth and easy. Check-out was also straightforward, though it’s important to note their very strict policy: everyone must be out by 10:00 AM, even long-stay guests, as the entire hotel closes for daily maintenance. This wasn’t an issue for me since I stayed only one night, but it’s good to be aware of. Overall, it was a great experience, and I would happily stay again. Thank you for such a lovely stay! 💖

I was extremely satisfied with my stay at this hotel. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and a sleeping gown was provided during my stay which was a nice touch. The front desk staff were very friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even more pleasant. The hotel’s location is very convenient and easy to find, just a short walk after exiting the station. There is also a direct train from Chibaminato Station to Tokyo Station via the Keiyo Line, which makes traveling very convenient. Livemax Hotels and Resorts maintains a consistent standard of cleanliness and comfort. I also stayed in Kannai-Ekimae branch, which was equally clean and comfortable. Overall, I am very happy with my stays at both Livemax locations. The hotels are highly recommended, especially for travelers looking for budget-friendly accommodations. Additionally, for a small extra fee of ¥1,000, guests can extend their stay until 12:00 PM, which is an excellent value.

The hygiene was great. I booked a twin room, and the two beds were pushed very close together. The surrounding transportation is very convenient, with a subway and bus station just a 3-minute walk to the hotel. There are many convenience stores, restaurants, and shopping malls nearby. The environment is also very quiet. It's a shame the room was small. The hotel provides disposable toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo, and slippers. Cleaning is done every three days.

It’s an older motel with front of house staff that have been working in the hospitality industry for a while. I arrived before the check in time (3pm ~), I was checked in just before 3pm which I didn’t expect. Courteous, friendly staff. Breakfast was included in the 2 night stay - it was a simple Japanese meal that was easy sustenance - free servings of rice and soup. The staff made it a homely atmosphere with constant attention to guests asking them if they wanted more of what was available. Room 720 faced the busy Highway but also had a great view that included sky tree. I could open the large single pane window and thought it was a unique point. Cleaning staff were mainly foreign, all young and polite also. They knocked on doors to ask if rubbish needed removing and rooms cleaned. I didn’t get a chance to try the restaurant on 10F or the public bath and sauna - maybe next time. suggestions: (1) housekeeping: a quick dusting by cleaning staff (feather duster if not wet tissues) - the hotel is clean and even though it isn’t a 5 star hotel it makes a difference. The feather duster can easily reach corners of drawers and tables. Bathroom air filters can easily be cleaned with wet tissues. (2) room cards for cleaning- more specific than a don’t disturb card. it will save time for housekeepers as they knock on room doors to ask if rooms need to be cleaned. They can focus on cleaning and do a better job on a hotel that has been kept going for a while.
