"I was a bit worried because there weren't many reviews, but this place turned out to be absolutely perfect! The capsule itself was super cozy, and the amenities were well-prepared. Shin-Okubo station really feels like a Korean town – everywhere you look, there are Korean restaurants with Hangeul signs, K-pop is playing in the shops, and there are even photo booths integrated into the Japanese streets. It was such a unique sight to see Korea blended into the Japanese landscape. This great location, combined with the fact that the accommodation had just been renovated and was so clean, really made a huge difference to my trip and made it incredibly enjoyable. I'd definitely love to stay here again on my next visit! 😊"

"Great Value Base Camp for Exploring Tokyo (5 Nights) Just back from 5 nights at E Hotel Higashi Shinjuku. If you want a clean, functional, and incredibly well-located place to sleep, this is it. The Best Part: The location is unbeatable. It’s a 1-minute walk to Higashi-Shinjuku Station (Oedo/Fukutoshin lines), making getting around effortless. Surrounded by convenience stores and right on the edge of the lively Kabukicho/Golden Gai area. The Room: Typical Tokyo small, but spotlessly clean and well-designed. Comfortable bed, good shower, and a handy fridge. Daily housekeeping was a nice touch. Free Wi-Fi worked fine for browsing. The Downsides: It can be noisy at night due to street traffic and sirens. Light sleepers will need earplugs. Rooms are snug, so don’t expect space to sprawl. Verdict: A perfect ”home base” for a busy trip. Excellent value, great transport links, and all the essentials covered. Would stay again."

"The hotel is pretty good, located in the bustling Shinjuku Kabukicho area. It's about a ten-minute walk to the subway, and there's an airport shuttle bus stop right downstairs, which is super convenient for getting to the airport. When checking in, definitely avoid rooms on the east side; below is Shinjuku Station, and the constant traffic noise will keep you from sleeping. I firmly requested a room change, and the front desk staff were great, changing it promptly."

"Easily access to shops and restaurant being in the Kabukicho area. It takes about 15-20 minutes walk to Shinjuku station. The size of the room for three peopleis is for Tokyo standard. Great tasty breakfast (Japanese and western) and amenities/tea/coffee are available to pick up at reception. Staff are friendly and received a welcome drink. Stayed for 3 nights and the hotel scheduled full cleaning of the room once. Fresh towels are available to pick up at reception."

"This was my second stay here. My room faced the stadium and was very quiet. I felt the cleanliness and maintenance weren't quite as good as the room I had last year, but still perfectly fine. The toiletries have been switched to a different brand – it says 'Italian brand' but I didn't recognize it, and personally, I don't think they're as good as the blue-bottled ones from last year. Also, a heads-up: you can only store luggage for same-day pick-up. I had planned to go to Fuji for a night and leave my luggage here, but overnight storage isn't an option. Other than that, no issues."

"This hostel primarily caters to Western guests, and the residents are predominantly white. If you're in Japan and don't speak Japanese, staying here is great. All the staff are native English speakers, making communication very smooth. The free breakfast is good, a typical Western breakfast. Bread, croissants, etc., and they're quite tasty. There's a bar downstairs. Facilities: The facilities are quite good, with plenty of restrooms and bright washrooms. The showers work very well, and showering is free."
