This old hotel is well-maintained and offers a convenient check-in and check-out process. If you arrive early, you can store your luggage at the hotel. The lobby provides amenities for guests to pick up. The room size is typical of Japanese hotels, with everything you need for a comfortable stay. A solo traveler can comfortably fit in the room. However, the bathroom is relatively small. Despite this, the location is great, close to a subway station and with an elevator at the nearest exit. Overall, there’s nothing to complain about, and I’d definitely return to stay here again.

We booked a triple room. The separate toilet and shower are a nice touch, but the bathroom is incredibly small – you can barely open a suitcase fully. There's only a tiny table for eating, but it offers great value for money and the service is excellent. One small downside is that there were no bath towels, and the disposable towels provided were very small.

Very good, came during the cherry blossom season, there is a field of cherry blossoms at the door, you can see a field of cherry blossoms when you go out in the morning, and you can also see them before returning to the hotel at night. It is also very close to cherry blossom spots such as the Mint and Osaka Castle. It is a perfect hotel for cherry blossom viewing!

The hotel is super close to the subway station, right at the exit. The room was generally clean, and both comfort and quietness were good. It's a bit of a walk from the JR station, about 15 minutes. Breakfast was quite expensive, so I didn't eat at the hotel; there's a Matsuya across the street which was a good alternative.

Overall, it was a good experience – comfortable, quiet, and conveniently located. The front desk even had classic manga like Dragon Ball available for guests to borrow, making it a great value-for-money hotel.
Also, a big thank you to the staff member who lent me a charging cable; buying one at a convenience store would have been quite expensive. Arigato!

The hotel was an extremely efficient and classy place to stay for a small period of time. It’s not in a busy or touristic part of the city, so means of transportation are necessary as a tourist. Aside from that, it had more than enough as far as amenities are concerned and breakfast was very tasty with a lot of variety. Wouldn’t say it’s really ideal for backpackers like us, but it was a good switch up from our usual stays because we had a car.
Speaking of which, there is paid parking across the street. Don’t make the same mistake as us and leave after 9am. You’ll pay about 1800 more for just an additional hour.

The hotel is great for business trips, but do take note of the payment process. I booked online assuming it was prepaid, but the card was only for guarantee and I had to pay at the counter upon arrival. It would be better if this was more clearly stated during the booking process to avoid confusion. Otherwise, the stay was comfortable and the service was good.

I had originally booked another hotel in Osaka for June 2025, but I kept checking hotel availability every evening. On July 18th, I found a much better deal for this 4-star Noku hotel – a Deluxe Twin Room (not the Superior Twin with two 0.9m beds) for three nights from July 31st to August 3rd. It offered free cancellation up to two days prior. The Deluxe Twin Room has two 1.2m wide beds (Ctrip showed 0.8m, which is incorrect data). It didn't include breakfast, and the total cost for three nights, including a Saturday night, was 1885 CNY. This was a very good price considering it was during the Osaka Expo period. The booking confirmation mentioned a tax payment upon check-in, but I actually didn't have to pay any tax. After booking, I found the hotel's contact number and email on the Ctrip hotel page and confirmed my reservation via email. The hotel promptly answered all my questions.
The hotel is located near the Minamimorimachi subway station in Osaka, about a 5-8 minute walk away. It's a bit further from Tenmabashi subway station, requiring about a 15-minute walk. The hotel is situated in a very quiet residential and office area with a few reasonably priced restaurants nearby. There's also a bus stop close to the hotel.
Just about 100 meters from the hotel, there's a Super LIFE supermarket (open from 09:30 to 24:00). Note that it doesn't accept WeChat Pay or Alipay; only major international credit cards like Visa, Mastercard, JCB, American Express, and other popular payment methods are accepted. The prices there are very fair and affordable!
In Osaka, the subway is the best mode of transportation, with about 10 lines. Personally, I don't find buying single-trip tickets expensive. You can easily check the route map above the ticket machine, which clearly displays the prices for each station, making it convenient to purchase tickets.
The hotel provides disposable toothbrushes, toothpaste, razors, combs, and slippers. There's a free ice machine with complimentary ice, and bottled water is available for guests to pick up at the front desk. They also offer free luggage storage before check-in and after check-out. The front desk staff are warm, attentive, and very helpful in assisting guests with any issues.

The Symphony Hall, Osaka Waterfront Park, Forest of Memorial Trees, Glico Museum, and Umeda Station are within six kilometers. Very close to Osaka Castle, you can walk directly into the park downstairs. I chose a room with an Osaka Castle view, which offered delightful scenery, and the surrounding rivers were abundant, making the overall environment very pleasant.

The hotel is in a very convenient location. The metro station is about 100 meters away, and there are 7-Eleven and Family Mart stores nearby. It is very easy to get to Kyoto Station and convenient for reaching the airport. That’s where the advantages end.
There was no water in the room at check-in. We were told to buy it ourselves from a vending machine. It was also stated that there would be welcome drinks, but there was nothing. The only coffee available was instant and of very poor quality, so after breakfast we had to go to 7-Eleven to buy proper coffee.
Breakfast is listed as being served until 9:30. We arrived at 9:15, and the staff member who was cleaning the area tried to make us leave. The same happened to other guests. Only thanks to the chef were we allowed to stay. At the reception desk, we were told that we should come at 9:00, even though it clearly says breakfast is until 9:30. While we were eating, everything around us was being cleared away, and we were not given the chance to choose our food properly. It felt very uncomfortable.
The rooms are old and worn out. There was a moldy smell in the bathroom. The pajamas provided were very old, thin, grey-blue in color, and almost see-through.
Additionally, we were not informed about the renovation works in the building. There was no message about it when we made the reservation. In reality, there were construction scaffolds, and we had to carry our suitcases up the stairs. Only upon arrival were we given a notice saying there would be painting and other work. There was a noticeable smell of paint in the room.
The location is good, but the service and the condition of the hotel were very disappointing

Amazing
GGuest UserThe hotel is right next to Yotsubashi Station. If you're coming from Shinsaibashi, it's quite a long walk for an in-station transfer, which isn't very convenient. There's a McDonald's and a 24-hour supermarket downstairs. However, the 10 AM check-out time is unacceptable; hotels in Tokyo and Aomori all have 11 AM check-out. On the first night, I asked the front desk for an extra pillow and blanket but was told they didn't have any. Breakfast access is denied after 9:30 AM, and the selection is very limited. The room size was the smallest I encountered during my entire trip to Japan. The price is a bit high, making the value for money just average. While a 26-inch suitcase can be opened, for a family trip, kids pretty much have to sit on the bed as there's not much space to move around. The bathtub and toilet are in the same bathroom, not a separate setup. Overall, if I visit Osaka again, I won't consider this hotel. I strongly advise against booking the breakfast; for over 100 yen per person, you're better off getting something at McDonald's downstairs.
GGuest User✨ Acro Capsule Hotel (Japan) 🇯🇵
My first time staying in a capsule hotel, and honestly, I was more impressed than I expected!
📍 Location: Amazing! It’s very close to Dotonbori—just a few minutes’ walk to food, shopping, and nightlife. Also near train stations, so getting around is super convenient.
🛏 Capsule Room: I thought it would be very small, but it’s actually more spacious than expected. I could stretch out comfortably. There’s decent privacy with a curtain, plus a power outlet and personal light.
🧼 Cleanliness: Highly rated! The bathrooms and showers are very clean. Amenities are provided, including towels and a hair dryer.
👩💼 Staff: Friendly, helpful, and able to communicate in English, which makes everything much easier.
👍 Pros:
- Great value for money, perfect for budget travelers
- Excellent central location
- Secure system with lockers for your belongings
⚠️ Cons:
- If you get an upper capsule, climbing up and down can be a bit inconvenient (though it’s slightly cheaper than the lower one)
- Some noise is unavoidable since it’s a shared space
- It can feel a bit warm or stuffy at times
💬 Overall: Perfect for solo travelers or anyone who wants to try the capsule hotel experience in Japan. If you don’t mind limited personal space, it’s definitely worth it!
GGuest UserI stayed for two nights, which was perfect after a fun day at Universal Studios Japan – I could just come back and relax. The hotel is surrounded by a bustling shopping street with plenty of restaurants and shops. I even grabbed some Sushiro takeout to enjoy back at the hotel. The room was very spacious, and I especially loved the three-part bathroom setup which was super convenient. All the bath amenities were well-stocked too. In the evenings, I could pop down to the 24-hour Lawson downstairs to buy a couple of onigiri to store in the mini-fridge. Each floor also has a microwave, so I could just heat them up before heading out the door in the morning.
XXLbaoWe stayed at The Singulari Hotel & Skyspa at Universal Studios Japan during our 4th trip to Japan and our first traveling with our auADHD toddler. This was our second hotel in Osaka, and we arrived by taxi directly from our previous hotel. Taxi tip: make sure you show the taxi driver the hotel name and address in Japanese. Our driver initially dropped us at Universal Studios Japan instead of the hotel entrance and that cost us when it showed him the Google maps address.
The hotel staff themselves were excellent. They deal with international guest on the daily and some speak English. Our forwarded luggage was received without issue and delivered directly to our room, which made arrival seamless. They have forms for luggage transport themselves that I used for our KIX airport hotel. Service throughout our stay was efficient and professional, and the staff clearly explained all hotel procedures.
The biggest advantage of this property is its location. It is about a 10-minute walk to the entrance of Universal Studios Japan, which gives you a real edge if you plan to rope drop. The subway station is directly outside the hotel entrance, making transportation extremely convenient. Universal Citywalk is steps away, with Starbucks, Lawson, Bikkuri Donki (Great for familes by the way), shopping, and countless restaurants all within immediate reach.
If you’re visiting USJ, I strongly recommend arriving at the park entrance by 7:30 a.m. We arrived around 8:30 a.m., and it made the first ride strategy noticeably more challenging. Luckily disability service helped a little as it was similar to Disney when you have to go to the Fast Pass staff to get a return time but USJ uses pen and paper. The earlier you position yourself for rope drop, the smoother your morning will be. Lines were extremely long and we were only able to see half the park. Unless you have 2 days at USJ, I recommend buying the Express pass packages as early as possible as they were all sold out the day of. Definitely a big regret as we only had 1 day there.
The onsen sauna was of an average size. After long park days, it was incredibly relaxing. The baths are separated by gender, and there are no private rentable family spaces, so that’s something to keep in mind if traveling to onsen if you are not comfortable going commando with others.
Our room was spacious and comfortable. The bathroom felt slightly dated but it was clean and fully functional. One thing I missed was having a small kitchenette and in-room washer/dryer. Laundry is available on the spa floor via coin machines, but in-room units would have been more better.
On our second day, we made a day trip to Ghibli Park in Aichi, which took about 2.5 hours each way via Shinkansen and local transit. It’s doable but long. If your primary focus is Universal Studios Japan, this hotel is an excellent strategic base. If you plan multiple long day trips outside Osaka, you may want something more centrally located. I should have planned a day to stay at Nagoya for my Ghibli Park day.
Overall, The Singulari is ideal for travelers prioritizing proximity to Universal Studios Japan, easy transit access (but not centrally located), and post-park relaxation in a quality onsen setting.
GGuest UserThe overall experience was good, and you simply can't beat the location—it's the best in Osaka, especially in Namba. However, the room was quite small, and the facilities are limited. If you're looking for a place to sleep and explore the city, it works well, but don't expect much space or extra amenities.
AAnonymous UserThe front desk had a staff member who spoke Chinese, which made check-in super easy. The room was spacious and well-laid out, and it's really close to the subway station! Plus, it's right next to some very upscale residential buildings in Osaka.
AAnonymous UserThe room had a fridge and microwave, which was really convenient for heating up late-night snacks and breakfast. I didn't get to use the washing machine though. The location is great, with the nearest subway station about a five-minute walk away. The room itself isn't very big, and if you're staying for only four nights, you need to put out the 'Please clean' sign yourself for them to empty the trash.
GGuest UserThe surroundings are very convenient, and the environment is clean and hygienic, which makes it highly recommendable. The breakfast pastries, coffee, and drinks were delicious, and the service attitude was also excellent. Plus, there are plenty of dining and shopping options nearby.
HHeiressjloThe room itself is well maintained and the facilities are common basic ones that I need as a solo female traveler. It a 5 minute walk to Juso Station and a lot of convenience store around. They have a coin laundry machine as well so it was easier to wash clothes when I needed it. All additional things that you need such as toiletries are also readily available at the lobby area. And the best part was the free breakfast!
KkennyanHad a really great hotel experience. The room was cleaned daily, and the hotel is surrounded by a bustling commercial area, making shopping very convenient. The soundproofing in the room was excellent; I didn't hear any noise at all. Plus, the breakfast was abundant, and it offered great value for money.
Some top places to stay in Osaka are near popular attractions like Shinsaibashisuji, Namba and Umeda—so you can quickly get to top landmarks and amenities you need.
