"What I liked about it : The receptionist is very friendly and helpful. : They have a lift. The room is actually big. It has ac, tv, fridge. They also have slippers provided, aside from the towels and toiletries. The breakfast buffet is nice also. : It is close to Virak Buntham. What can be improved : The door of my room gets stuck and requires a lot of effort to close. : The water in the shower takes long to drain."

"Beautiful hotel with a great location, very close to the Palace and the central market. It's on a quiet street but with plenty of restaurants nearby. The room was spacious and well-equipped. Impeccable cleanliness and very friendly and attentive staff. Breakfast is à la carte, but you can order several dishes, with good coffee and panoramic views. We tried the restaurant food, and the dishes were affordably priced and all very delicious. You can travel with pets. The rooftop pool is very pleasant and very clean."

"Its more of a building apartment that serves both long term residents and act like a hotel on the side than a traditional hotel, this means that you get to wait for the 2 slow lift with other residents. Receptionist is in the minimart beside the lift lobby which surprisingly isn't that overpriced, similar prices to other convenience store in the city. For the room itself, its quite aged and the room seems much smaller than advertised, the bed is the hardest mattress that i slept on, it doesn't even bounce when i jumped on it. I can count with 1 hand the amount of times i seen insects in the room. The river view is fine. There's no phone to call but seems like you contact receptionist using whatsapp or wechat, the notebook in the room also shows room service (also very surprisingly not overpriced) and items you can buy from the minimart (not sure whether they will deliver up the room) but i did not try any of it. The water heater was fixed after informing the receptionist and they also let my kept my bags after i checked out, giving few hours to explore the city before i head off to the airport, which is also nice. Location of the hotel isn't too bad, with plenty of restaurants and market nearby, 1km walk from the nightlife area."

"The check in was swift. Price is very affordable considering you get kettle, toiletries, soap and shampoo... Only that tv not working [i dont really watch, so i dont mind] and there's no ironing service available.Picked up laundry is avaiable. Walking distance to Orrusey Market and street market in the morning... plenty of local stuff, foodies and fruits. I walked to Jamei Mosque, Royal Palace and Wat Botum Park in the morning..it was amazing meeting the locals. Pharmacies, convieent stores all within reach easily.. i definitely revisit..."

Here is an honest breakdown of what to expect if you book a stay. 📍 The Standout Feature: Location & Connectivity The absolute best thing about City Lodge is its location. It sits right at the corner of Sukhumvit Soi 9, literally steps away from the Nana BTS Skytrain station (about a 10-foot walk from the steps). The Good: You can jump on the Skytrain and be anywhere in Bangkok within minutes. It is a 15-minute walk to the Sukhumvit MRT (subway) and the Terminal 21 shopping mall. Restaurants, street food, massage parlors, and convenience stores are right outside your doorstep. The Bad: It is located directly next to Sukhumvit Soi 11 and Nana Plaza, meaning it is in the absolute epicenter of Bangkok's chaotic nightlife."

"The hotel boasts an excellent location right by the palace, in a lively riverside area. It's super convenient for exploring the night market on weekends, with a fantastic array of food options right downstairs, including Mexican, Italian, Cambodian, Indian, and Chinese restaurants. The hotel itself is quite attractive. The lobby is clean and bright, and they occasionally have local instrument performances. There are two pools, one on the ground floor and another on the rooftop. The rooftop is also where breakfast is served, which is mostly Western fare like bread, coffee, milk, and salads, alongside some Southeast Asian dishes like粿条 (kway teow) and fried rice. The fruit selection is fresh and plentiful. In the evenings, the rooftop bar is stunning, offering great views of the river at night – perfect for photos. The service was generally good, with staff always smiling and quick to resolve any issues. The only minor downside is the soundproofing; our room was separated from the next by just a door, so we could sometimes hear conversations. The room was clean, and the bathroom had a combined shower/tub, which was a little inconvenient. Overall, I'd still highly recommend this hotel."

"I find Sunway Hotel very central to almost every tourist attraction. More importantly the restaurant served HALAL food. So international breakfast buffet and a la carte menu are alls good! Most of the staff can speak English. Housekeeping comes in every day to clean the room and top up refreshments. In-room dining served delicious Mushroom soup and Tom Yam Koong! Cambodia generally have limited Halal restaurants serving local pho or khmer dishes. But there are these 3 Halal restaurants that we always go to for padang food and malaysian food (Dulang, Nusantara, Cafe Malaya). Near the Riverside location (facing the infamous Mekong River), you can find endless halal restaurants serving kebabs, beriyani, roti prata, and everything Mediterranean and Pakistani. USD$ and Cambodian Riel are both acceptable. Grab transportation for car and tuk tuk are very easy to book and they come right up to the hotel's entrance. And they are reasonably priced ranging from KHR5,400 to 14,200."
