Posted on Nov 14, 2025|Deluxe Double Or Twin Room
Anonymous UserThis was my first time staying at this hotel (chosen because it is top-rated), but unfortunately it was a disappointing experience for me as a business traveller. Apart from the central location, the stay did not meet my expectations.
I booked a double-bed room and requested the second floor with a temple view. The staff informed me that the second floor was fully booked, and even the double-bed rooms were unavailable, so they gave me a twin room (no. 3) and pushed the beds together. The only good part was that the room still had a partial temple view from the window. The room itself was beautifully decorated, but there were no basic amenities such as slippers, toothbrush, razor, or comb unless requested at reception.
I returned to the hotel close to midnight after a long day, only to find the reception closed, no staff available, and no information on how to contact anyone. There was also no in-room phone. I had to walk barefoot on the cold hard floor, could not brush my teeth, and could not request an iron to prepare for my meeting the next morning.
In the morning, staff were still not present at 6:00 AM when I needed toiletries. When they finally arrived, I overheard the housekeeper saying they had run out of stock and that I should “go buy it outside,” which made me feel quite unwelcome as a guest paying a high room rate. The receptionist then repeated the same message without offering any guidance on where to buy items.
Additionally, while the hotel claims to reduce single-use amenities for environmental reasons, they still provide drinking water in plastic bottles instead of glass — something that should be improved.
I would like to compliment the staff member on duty on the morning of the 12th Nov 2025 at around 6:00 AM. I wanted to prepare food for almsgiving, and he kindly gave me helpful advice. He even went to ask a nearby vendor to bring the items I needed so that I could receive the service conveniently. I truly appreciate his assistance and excellent service.
Overall, the lack of essential amenities, poor service availability, and unprofessional attitude made my stay uncomfortable. This will be my first and last stay at this hotel.

Guest UserThe location is excellent, the environment is nice, and the service is good. However, the room is a bit small. For someone used to the large bathrooms in China, it definitely felt inconvenient. But then again, maybe Laos's overall hotel facilities just can't compare to China's; I haven't compared it to other hotels here. The hotel can help arrange morning alms-giving activities; we had 6 people participate in alms-giving right outside the hotel in the morning. It's very quiet and not noisy. We also asked the hotel to arrange our trip to Kuang Si Falls; a private car was around 300-something, which was quite affordable. They have free bicycles, and we rode them to 7-Eleven to buy things.

The room exceeded my expectations – living amidst the rice paddies was incredibly relaxing. The decor was beautiful, comfortable, and had a fresh, natural vibe that truly allowed for a full rest of body and mind. The shuttle bus to the city center isn't very frequent, so it might not be ideal for those who prefer a lively and convenient location. Mina at the front desk was very efficient and incredibly helpful, and her English was fluent, which was a big plus! The breakfast quality and variety were also great. Highly recommended!

The stay experience was very good, the sound insulation needed to be improved, the room was clean and tidy, the facilities were complete, the bedding was comfortable and the rest was good. There is Chinese service at the front desk, and check-in and check-out are very fast. The hotel is conveniently located, convenient to travel, and the overall price is very high. Next time you have the opportunity to stay in Luang Prabang, you will choose to stay.

The room is OK, not super clean but it’s cleaned by the housekeepers. The location is OK, you can walk around 10 minutes to get to the night market. Our room has a bathtub, which is good. The staff are not attentive, except the girl who is in charge of the night shift. She is very polite and helpful. Overall, this hotel offers what suits its price. If you want to save money, I think it’s a decent choice.

Paul ManhoodWonderful smaller hotel in a quiet part of Luang Prabang that doesn’t attract the large, noisy tourist groups. Hotel is right across the road from the Mekong river and breakfast is served on a platform overlooking the river which is extremely scenic and peaceful. The hotel is close to all the main attractions in the city and the host and staff are wonderfully friendly and helpful. Was delighted to stay here.

ExperiencedTravellerNice boutique hotel. Well maintained, good service, minutes walk to temples, night market, morning market, and alms giving place. The room was on higher floor and the receptionist helped with the bags. There is a swimming pool but I didn't try it. Breakfast was basic. For all the above and the price; recommended.

Guest UserThe landlord is not honest. When we asked him a bus ticket to Phonsavan he charged us more than 50%. Outrageous. Actually I knew the price in the beginning, so asked him if it should be about $12 but he insisted there was no way he could match that price. So funny. All he had to do was call and make a reservation for us, but instead he tried to get profit out of the reservation and charged $18 each. And we had to do nothing but trust him.
However, when we arrived at the terminal, we realized that the one way ride to Phonsavan was even less that $11.30. I don't recommend this hotel run by this sly business man.

The hotel is located in an alley by the Mekong River, but parking is available. It takes at most five minutes to walk to the Mekong River. It is convenient to eat and buy daily necessities around. The hotel is in a quiet location with a comfortable environment and clean bedding and rooms.
