Extremely satisfied! I'm not sure if it was because there were fewer bookings, but they upgraded my room. The bathroom facilities were also very clean. One minor drawback is that all rooms face the inner courtyard, making it easy for other guests to see who is staying where. There was also a power outage that lasted over an hour, which was a bit inconvenient.
The staff were very friendly and efficiently helped arrange things like a driver.

I found my experience at this hotel to be impeccable; I was very satisfied with their facilities and the environment. The hotel's location isn't too remote either. Although it takes about a 10-minute walk to reach the 'foreigner street,' there are many restaurants and massage parlors nearby that offer great value for money despite their lower prices. This made me feel like I made an excellent choice. The hotel also provides every guest with a map of nearby attractions, including major landmarks in Luang Prabang and information on supermarkets and conveniences. I think this was a great touch. When I checked in, I also received a tropical welcome drink and a small fruit platter. The breakfast the next day was also excellent; they used high-quality branded butter and cheese. This shows that the hotel invests significantly in its operations, and I was quite surprised to see them using such good imported products. The only minor point worth mentioning is that I booked a king-sized bed, but because that room type was full, I was given a twin room instead. Also, some of the hotel's facilities are a little dated, but this didn't affect my stay, so I'd say it's still acceptable, given the great value it offers.

My stay here was not great but at the same time, not terrible. I think the property would benefit from some maintenance, upgrading, and more thorough cleaning.
The room was functional and AC worked fine, but there were noticeable signs of wear and tear. The walls could do with repainting, and I found dust and cobwebs in parts of the room, which made it feel like housekeeping standards could be improved.
One of the biggest drawbacks was how thin the walls are. Noise travels very easily, and I could hear almost everything happening in the neighbouring rooms, including conversations, showers running, and toilets flushing. This made it difficult to relax fully at times.
There was also a noticeable gap around the door, which meant insects could get into the room. I could actually see mosquitoes coming through the gap at times, which was frustrating and made it harder to keep them out.
Communication could also be challenging on occasion due to the language barrier. While this is understandable in a non-English-speaking country, it sometimes made things less straightforward. Thankfully, Google Translate helped bridge the gap.
My booking included breakfast, which was somewhat disappointing. On the day I managed to have breakfast at the hotel, there was no choice or variety available. The meal consisted of a bowl of noodle soup and a boiled egg, with no alternative options or buffet selection.
That said, my stay wasn't terrible, and the hotel served its purpose for somewhere to sleep.

We are two families, living in a room on the second floor with a terrace facing the street, and a family room on the first floor. The room was cleaned very well, the bedding was also neat and clean, and the toiletries were similar to those of domestic express hotels. The air conditioning in the family room on the first floor was sufficient, and the air conditioning on the second floor was weaker. It may be because the room space is too large due to the pointed roof room, but it is enough. It is just right for children to wear pajamas and cover themselves with quilts at night. The price of Ctrip is more cost-effective than other platforms including discounts. The breakfast is average and feels dispensable. It is very close to Xiangtong Temple. Turn right and 5 meters away from the door is the passage of Xiangtong Temple. It is also convenient to participate in the alms giving activities in the morning. It is enough to go out at 5:30. Convenient and affordable, very suitable for the first night in Luang Prabang
I forgot to take pictures of the hotel. The photos shown by the hotel itself are basically true. Adding some old wear and tear is basically the real scene.

Highly recommended! This hotel is ideally located near Wat Xieng Thong, on a street between the 'foreigner's street' (main tourist area) and the Mekong River. It's perfectly situated for convenience, yet far enough from the hustle and bustle and the noise of the riverside road. You can even watch the alms giving ceremony right from the hotel, which is an amazing advantage.
It's an old house, so don't expect many modern amenities, but it has a unique, simple charm and beautiful views. The balcony opens up to lush greenery, creating a very serene atmosphere. It's perfect for anyone looking to relax and recharge. If you're looking for Instagram-perfect photo ops, you might want to consider other places.
Breakfast is a two-minute walk to a riverside restaurant, which is quite convenient.
You can book a minivan to the high-speed rail station directly from the hotel; I haven't tried for the airport, but I assume that's an option too.

The room was clean and spacious, it had all the necessary conveniences, the staff was friendly, the location was great.
We did not like the breakfast at the restaurant - there was not much food to choose from, there were just eggs and one more dish whuch was different every day, but if you do not eat eggs and do not like that other dish (for example, noodle soup or sticky rice), there was nothing else.
The other thing is that one of the receptionists did not speak English at all. And if you are having problems due to the fault of the hotel staff, it is really difficult to settle everything down due to lack of understanding.
We had problems with bus tickets. We bought our bus tickets to Phonsavan at the hotel (they announce that they sell bus tickets) right after we checked in at the hotel, for the date in three days after our arrival. But the night before the day when we were scheduled to leave in the morning, we were told by the hotel staff that the bus had been cancelled, that there would be no buses to Phonsavan the next day because it was Vietnamese New Year (festival), and that we could not go there that day, there were no options for us, that we could go there a day later. We were really frustrated because we had everything set - airplane tickets from Phonsavan to Vientiane and hotel in Phonsavan. But as we found out the next day, it was a lie. We went to the bus station by ourselves, and there were minibuses to Phonsavan, so we were able to get there. I have no idea why the staff lied to us and why they cancelled our tickets.
Do not purchase any tickets or tours from the the hotel.

The hotel is very clean, there is a free temple opposite to visit, the cloth is passed by the hotel, you can see the cloth without crossing the road. It is recommended not to book a Lao hotel. The place is well maintained and the cleanliness is impeccable. You are to remove your shoes when entering the premise and you can tell the place is spotless. Amazing view from the shared patio. Host is friendly and helpful. Walking distance to everywhere. Lots of eateries and night market is just three blocks away. Breakfast is simple but for the price, it is definitely satisfactory. Will definitely recommend to those who are visiting Luang Prabang.

Lliangdi 702Booked Phanya Residence for a trip to Luang Prabang with my parents during the Chinese New Year, and it provided us with a fantastic travel experience. The hotel is truly, incredibly beautiful, with its aesthetic evident everywhere, blending local Laotian charm with classic European style. We booked a family room that could accommodate four people; the beds and amenities were great. I particularly loved the oil paintings in the room, and the wooden floors felt lovely underfoot. But the most important thing, by far, was their incredibly thoughtful and professional service! I accidentally left my earphones behind, and they went out of their way to deliver them to my friend's hotel. The owner was so kind and helpful, even when I kept bothering them with emails at night. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel. The location is excellent, very close to the Royal Palace and the night market, offering a quiet escape yet still being central. There's a temple right next door, which is wonderful. Plus, there are plenty of dining options nearby. If I ever go back to Luang Prabang, I would absolutely love to stay here again.

Staying here feels like stepping into a beautiful dream from another era. Every corner is a work of art. The furniture, the layout, the little details—they all whisper stories of old Indochine charm. It doesn’t feel like a hotel. It feels like you’re actually living in a graceful, historic home.
The architecture is stunning, and the garden and pool are simply gorgeous. Peaceful, timeless, and so beautifully kept.
The staff are warm and genuinely kind. We used the bikes from the resort to explore town, and it added so much joy to the experience.
Breakfast is à la carte, and each dish was delicious—thoughtfully prepared, never rushed. And somehow, every time we stepped out, we came back to a perfectly cleaned room. It’s the kind of care you don’t often see.
Satri House isn’t just a stay—it’s a feeling. One I won’t forget.

SShenhuiThis hotel is nestled in a valley, with several acres of rice paddies at its heart, creating a very natural and ecological environment. You'll often see cows, chickens, and cats roaming around. The breakfast selection is quite extensive, and the Chinese food is incredibly authentic. There are two Chinese staff members at the front desk, so communication was seamless for me. Although it's a bit far from the city center, there's a shuttle bus every hour, which makes getting around very convenient. Highly recommend!

AAzir ChristWe initially booked one week but decided to extend our stay for another week, which already says a lot about our overall experience. While there are certainly some areas that could be improved, we felt comfortable enough to stay longer and would consider returning in the future.
The room was generally clean and offered good value for the price. We especially enjoyed having a terrace and a bathtub, which made our stay more relaxing (also for our cat). However, some attention to detail in housekeeping and maintenance would make a noticeable difference. For example, spider webs, dust around ventilation areas, and air-conditioning units should be cleaned more regularly. In our room (#13), the air-conditioner was heavily clogged with dust when we arrived, to the point where the cooling performance was noticeably reduced. We politely mentioned this to the staff, and to their credit, the issue was addressed immediately. We were very grateful for their quick response. Since then, the unit has worked much better. There is still a slight musty smell, so a professional deep cleaning of the air-conditioning systems once or twice a year would likely improve both air quality and guest comfort.
One thing we appreciated throughout our stay was the willingness of the staff to help whenever a problem was brought to their attention. Requests were handled quickly and professionally, which is one of the reasons we decided to extend our booking. As digital nomads, reliable internet and a functional workspace are very important to us. The internet connection was stable and fast enough for our daily work, often reaching download speeds of around 8–12 MB/s. We also received a chair and an extension cable upon request, allowing us to comfortably use the large dresser as a workspace for our laptops. This was greatly appreciated!
The location is another strong point. Two large supermarkets are within a short walking distance, making it easy to buy groceries and daily necessities. The Night Market is also easily reachable on foot, and the main road is just around the corner, where electric scooters can usually be found for exploring Luang Prabang.
If we could suggest one improvement, it would simply be a warmer atmosphere from some members of the staff. A smile is never mandatory, of course, but it often makes guests feel more welcome. We would like to give special recognition to the evening female receptionist, who consistently greeted us with a friendly smile and positive attitude. Her kindness always stood out and left a very positive impression.
Overall, we believe this hotel offers fair value for money, a convenient location, reliable internet, and a team that genuinely tries to help when issues arise. For those reasons, we chose to extend our stay and would recommend it to travelers looking for a comfortable base in Luang Prabang.

Hotel is right across the road from the Mekong river and breakfast is served on a platform overlooking the river which is extremely scenic and peaceful. The hotel is close to all the main attractions in the city and the host and staff are wonderfully friendly and helpful. Was delighted to stay here.

Breakfast offered a good selection of high-quality items. A welcome drink and fruit were provided upon arrival. The staff were very helpful, providing us with information about local attractions, and we easily rented a moped from the hotel for 180k. The pool area was pleasant, though mostly shaded. Some noise from the main garden area was audible through gaps in the doors, but the hotel was generally quiet, so it wasn't a significant issue.

XXiayizhanshouhouThe location is absolutely fantastic, right in the heart of the old town. Just a few steps outside, you'll find the night market, ancient temples, and the Mekong River. The courtyard is filled with frangipani flowers, and the stone paths create a wonderful ambiance. The room was spotless, the owner's service was attentive, and the breakfast offered a great variety. It made exploring and getting around incredibly convenient, and the price was excellent too. I'll definitely choose this place again on my next visit!
