"My stay here was not great but at the same time, not terrible. I think the property would benefit from some maintenance, upgrading, and more thorough cleaning. The room was functional and AC worked fine, but there were noticeable signs of wear and tear. The walls could do with repainting, and I found dust and cobwebs in parts of the room, which made it feel like housekeeping standards could be improved. One of the biggest drawbacks was how thin the walls are. Noise travels very easily, and I could hear almost everything happening in the neighbouring rooms, including conversations, showers running, and toilets flushing. This made it difficult to relax fully at times. There was also a noticeable gap around the door, which meant insects could get into the room. I could actually see mosquitoes coming through the gap at times, which was frustrating and made it harder to keep them out. Communication could also be challenging on occasion due to the language barrier. While this is understandable in a non-English-speaking country, it sometimes made things less straightforward. Thankfully, Google Translate helped bridge the gap. My booking included breakfast, which was somewhat disappointing. On the day I managed to have breakfast at the hotel, there was no choice or variety available. The meal consisted of a bowl of noodle soup and a boiled egg, with no alternative options or buffet selection. That said, my stay wasn't terrible, and the hotel served its purpose for somewhere to sleep."

"The place is beautiful and located right in the city center, making it incredibly convenient to get to all the tourist attractions. They even have golf carts to shuttle you around. The staff are very attentive and helpful, and they also offer a service to prepare alms for monks right in front of the hotel in the morning."

"I personally visit Luang Prabang about 30 times a year for work. This time, I just wanted to relax with my family, so I picked a random hotel I hadn't stayed at before from Trip.com. Anyway, we had a good two-day break. Everyone has different standards regarding personal hygiene, dining, location, etc., so I'll skip those details. Firstly, it seems like the free pick-up and drop-off service from the train station is no longer available. Also, it's not $15 per vehicle, but $15 per person. In my case, I just arranged my own transport from the station. Even if you haggle, a taxi to the city center should cost a maximum of 300,000 kip per vehicle, so those reading this can decide for themselves. However, the hotel's free shuttle service was very convenient. I'm not sure if it's because there aren't many guests yet, but instead of fixed departure and pick-up times, it was like a regular taxi, available for departure and pick-up anytime. So, we made good use of it once a day in the evening to go to the night market."

"Very pleasant stay, clean, friendly stuff. Nice shuttle service. Good breakfast. Good swimming pool. The drink quality at the pool bar could improve. Sometimes it feels like the property cares to much about money. This is understandable but shouldn't let the client see. They wanted to charge us 5 usd quickly because we didn't give the room card back. Fortunately we found it. Overall, very pleasant experience. The only inconvenience occured on the last day where there were some children screaming at the pool at 7am and we couldn't sleep. This is not pleasantl at all. "Our experience at the Maison Souvannaphoum Hotel in Luang Prabang exceeded our expectations! The French colonial-style estate design, with white walls and tropical greenery, creates an elegant ambiance filled with a Southeast Asian resort vibe, making it perfect for photos. The hotel's pool is clean and beautiful, and as evening lights up, the atmosphere becomes truly enchanting. The rooms are clean and spacious, with comfortable bedding and a dry/wet separated bathroom. Insect control in the rooms is excellent, ensuring a peaceful stay. The staff are friendly and enthusiastic, and can communicate in Chinese, making them very welcoming to Chinese guests. The free shuttle bus runs to and from the city center and night market, making transportation incredibly convenient. For consecutive stays, airport transfers are also included, saving a lot of hassle. The hotel is quiet yet centrally located, not far from major temples and the night market. The overall service is thoughtful and attentive, making it a top choice for a vacation stay. Highly recommended!"

"The hotel offers convenient pick-up and drop-off service. As soon as we arrived at the station, we spotted the driver holding a sign, so we didn't have to worry about how to get to the hotel. After checking in, the hotel arranged a dedicated car to take us to the night market. The Mekong River, Wat Xieng Thong, the Royal Palace, and Mount Phousi are all within walking distance. After exploring these sites, we simply contacted the front desk in advance, and a hotel car would pick us up from the designated drop-off point. We also asked the front desk to help arrange a car for our trip to Kuang Si Falls. Throughout our two-day stay in Laos, transportation was truly hassle-free. All the safety concerns we had before our trip vanished, knowing our transport was well-taken care of. What's more, the front desk provides Chinese-speaking staff, so communication was never an issue."

"1. The hotel is very new, designed like a luxury resort, built on a hillside. You can watch the sunset directly from here, avoiding the crowds at Mount Phousi. 2. The room has a Nespresso coffee machine, and the bathroom facilities and amenities are excellent. 3. The infinity pool is beautiful, and the sun loungers, bar, and restrooms next to it are all well-equipped. 4. Breakfast is definitely worth trying; the à la carte menu is fantastic! 5. The hotel offers a shuttle service to the city center, and you can contact them via WhatsApp anytime, which is incredibly convenient. The only thing that could be improved is the staff's English. Ordering food was pretty much a communication breakdown. 😂"

"There was a discrepancy between the photos shown online and the actual room facilities. I chose this hotel after comparing it with two or three other properties, and the photos were a major factor in my decision, so this was very disappointing. I requested that the misleading photos be removed. The room change was only within the same category, and even though it was off-season with vacant rooms available, I was still assigned the smallest room. If other rooms in the same category were available, I feel there could have been more consideration. That level of service was disappointing. A silk bathrobe was provided, but personally I prefer cotton. The amenities included a toothbrush, shower cap, cotton swabs, hairdryer, shampoo, soap, and body lotion. There was more than enough complimentary drinking water provided, which was reassuring. There was no minibar, but finding a French press and coffee beans in the room was a small but pleasant surprise. I really wish there had been mosquito coils or insect repellent on the balcony. The breakfast was quite good, but it was exactly the same every day, so I think staying more than three nights would become repetitive. The room furnishings and overall atmosphere were beautiful. It has a unique charm and character that newer architecture simply cannot replicate. Bicycles are available free of charge, including both regular bicycles and mountain bikes. I walked to the old town once, and it took about 15 minutes. It’s walkable, but if location is a priority, staying in the old town would be a better choice. Also, unlike many other 4-star or higher hotels, there was no shuttle service to the old town. Since I rented a motorbike, it wasn’t a problem for me, but with the rainy season approaching, this could become inconvenient. I’m glad I stayed once, but I wouldn’t return."

Overall, it offers great value for money, perfect for both short business trips and vacations. We felt secure and comfortable during our stay. The service was top-notch, the room was clean and spacious, and the facilities were all in excellent condition. It was a quiet environment with a superb location and an affordable price.
