GGuest UserHad a great stay at Hyatt Regency Kota Kinabalu. The hotel is located in a very convenient area with lots of restaurants, cafes, malls, and the waterfront all within walking distance. Perfect location for sightseeing and food hunting.
The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable with a nice city/sea view. Staff were professional and friendly during check-in and throughout the stay. Breakfast selection was decent and the facilities were well maintained.
Overall, it was a comfortable and relaxing stay. Would definitely recommend for both couples and families visiting Kota Kinabalu.

LLingbingxueerThe hotel is currently undergoing renovations, and the front desk service was incredibly slow. It took a full 40 minutes just to check in. I arrived at 4 PM, but my room wasn't ready until past 6 PM, by which time the sun had already set. To make matters worse, the buggy service was suspended due to heavy rain, and there was a long queue just to borrow an umbrella, leaving guests to walk back to their rooms in the downpour.
However, the beautiful sunset made up for it! The sky's colors were even more stunning and vibrant because of the rain. Many non-hotel guests even came specifically to watch the sunset.
The breakfast spread was plentiful, and even though it was crowded, they refilled dishes promptly. There were also performances during the dinner buffet. Overall, the service attitude was excellent.

The breakfast offers a wide variety of choices, and it's delicious! We ate so much every day!
We arrived in Kota Kinabalu on an early morning flight, reaching the hotel around 6 am. We stored our luggage and went for a stroll nearby. The hotel staff were very helpful in arranging an early check-in for us at 12:30 pm, which was a pleasant surprise, and we got to rest in the afternoon. I was a bit worried about soundproofing, but it turned out to be very quiet. Even though we were there during the night market and morning market, it wasn't noisy at all. We even caught a live performance!
Seriously, you can just walk downstairs and explore the night market and morning market right away!
There are also many attractions within walking distance, and it's close to the pier for island hopping.
Food is never an issue, and you won't have trouble finding local specialties. Any problems we had were promptly addressed by the staff without any delays!
Since we had an early morning flight when we left, I wasn't sure about the best time to leave for the airport. The staff advised us on the ideal departure time and even prepared a breakfast box with sandwiches, fruit, water, and drinks! They also reminded me to book a taxi in advance!

GGuest UserThis place is great, mainly because of its super convenient location. It's really close to Gaya Street and just a short walk to Suria Sabah shopping mall. Basically, all those trendy spots you see on Xiaohongshu are just a stone's throw away. Other reviews mentioned it being noisy at night, but I stayed for 5 days and didn't experience that at all. Uh, the room was also quite clean. Housekeeping was prompt with tidying up and replenishing amenities. There's a convenience store right downstairs too.

LLove CoffeeMy first stay here and I think would be my last too. Was actually requested a quiet room but still giving the room which facing the contrustion site. Noise of the construction site was up to 10pm+ and 5am+ the prayer from the nearby mosque will make you jump!
Impressive with the location but not the room. Furnitures in room quite old but still acceptable, but cleanliness and maintenance was terrible.
1) Water leaks out from shower room to walkway via the wall.
2) Old and dirty toilet with mold
3) Malfunctioning light bulb
4) Stains on the towel ( sticky like chocolate, like unwashed)
5) Ants on table & bed!

GGuest UserOverall, our stay was very good – actually, better than expected! We had a lovely balcony with a nice view. The pool itself was nice – perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring.
The apartment was clean and had everything we needed. Staff was helpful. After we checked out, we accidentally left some clothes in the washing machine, and they kindly recovered them for us. That kind of thoughtful service makes all the difference!
Downstairs, there are plenty of food options, so you’ll never go hungry.
I’d definitely recommend this place for couples or small families looking for a comfortable, well-located base. Great value for money.

MMongGrThe location is good. Not that near to town center. Parking is definitely a challenge since its opposite a shopping mall. Traffic rather congested around hotel. Nearby parking is at least Rm6 per entry.
There are mosquito in the room and I dont know how they got there. Room cleanliness is acceptable. Swimming pool and gym facility is decent. Sufficient for light usage.
Buffet breakfast is rather bland (I stayed for 5 nights include weekend) all the same repetitive food.
Cost wise i think is worthy since the price include breakfast.
Picture attach are the food I found at the shopping mall beside.

GGuest UserThis hotel is good, right by the beach. The room is large and spacious, with all the amenities. The slightly worn bathroom door isn't something I'd consider a drawback. There were no insects. I really think this is the place to stay, especially since it's close to the airport. I couldn't find anywhere to buy food nearby, though. You can take a taxi to the central market or the Filipino market. I also liked that they checked me in in the morning, despite my early arrival. In Kuala Lumpur, I had to wait around until 2 PM to check in.

GGuest UserVery Noisy Apartment! I don’t generally leave a negative comment but this apartment deserves one.
This is a service apartment which I believe is jointly owned and managed by different companies. We checked in on New Year’s Eve for a 2 nights stay. Upon checking in in the afternoon, we were surprised to see a massive line queueing up for the lifts. There are 4 lifts but only 2 were working. We waited close to 15 mins to get a lift to go up to our floor and again close to 15mins to get down from our floor. The wait for the lift the next morning was even worse where we gave up waiting and just walked dan 12 flights of stairs. We have not stayed in an accommodation
After assessing the situation, we requested for a cancellation and refund for the second night explaining that the lift situation is very inconvenient for us and that we had already booked a tour where we had to leave early in the morning. However, we were told by the hotel staff explained that the lifts are managed separately by the facility management and that’s beyond their control. We were also told that refund is not possible as we’ve already checked in and our booking was a non refundable booking via trip.com. The hotel staff offered a later checkout time which I appreciated but that didn’t help us with the lift issue.
The nightmare did not stop there. The noise insulation of the suite we were in was terrible. We could hear people talking and walking outside the walkway very clearly. What’s worse was the never ending road noise. Understand that it was NYE but hearing loud hooning car noise at 2am and not being able to sleep was a true nightmare!
The suite also smells of sewerage and need some attention to its general cleanliness.
The only positive feedback I have for this accommodation is that it is centrally located.
