Hotel location is relatively biased, no car is not recommended to live, if you want to be quiet, here is still a good choice
The original villa hotel problem did not stay in Ctrip's young lady temporarily changed to this place to check in faster. The room is quite big. It should be that there are fewer people living. The service is locals. The bath towels that can't keep up with the rhythm will forget to make up for the new 2600 villa ice. The box of drinks is not delivered, there are beer left by the previous guests.
The first day of breakfast, I told the front desk to send it directly to the room. No one came at ten o'clock or had to call to order breakfast. There were three styles. The waiter saw that we could place three orders. Later, I asked the front desk at night to ask if there were three copies. It was told that it was six people. Because it's six people's expense.
Six people will be sent to the room every day, but I really can't stand the loud knocking on the door... until I wake up.
Few people live. I can hear ktv singing at the intersection at night.
The price is definitely high. If you go shopping around Yulin, you can also be close to the elephant camp, the tiger garden, the shooting range, and the waterfall. If you want to go to the ancient city often, it is not recommended to live here.

It will be good if you have your own transport to here. But you still can travel to here by arranging share transport from Klook - to Queen SiriKit Botanic Garden. (It just 10 to 15 min walk) or request them to send you straight to the Mae Sa Valley Farm Stay Resort. Over all the place is nice with a small waterfall. Air is fresh in the morning.
Simple Breakfast is included. The restaurant food is good. But we prefer the cafe with aircon which is just opposite the road. Food is yummy! Since we have no transport we walk to the Queen SiriKit Botanic Garden which is the nearest activity. You will need to spend about 3 hrs or more. There is a tram to bring you round. Please remember to bring along mosquito repellent. Over all the stay is pleasant if you like quite, fresh air.

The hotel is very beautiful, decorated in a luxurious Moroccan style. There is a living room, a kitchen where you can cook. There are plates, bowls, spoons, ready to practice. Every room is next to the pool. Those who take photos and create content should not miss it. Come for the second time, next to the tourist attractions. Not far from the flower garden Traveling into the city is convenient.
Views from the villa are amazing. It’s great that they include dinner and breakfast. I personally loved the karaoke machine. Can hear noise from events in neighborhood village but that might depend on the day. Amenities could be better, but overall I have no major complaints. Location is very remote but there is a local grocery store within walking distance, and the host also can arrange a ride for you back into the city.

Be sure to bring a bottle of mosquito repellent spray before you go. Be sure to close the bedroom door tightly when you turn on the light at night, otherwise many small insects will be attracted by the light and fly in. Insectophobes, please take note ~ The door was not closed tightly on the first night and many insects flew in. My scalp was numb. I spent an hour catching insects. It is recommended to bring a small lamp. Turn on the light indoors and try to draw the curtains and close the door tightly. This place is suitable for friends who can endure a little hardship to come and relax and lie down. It is very cost-effective and the scenery is beautiful. There is no industrial noise, no car roar, only the sound of wind and birds... You can bring some fruit snacks. It is recommended to stay for at least two nights. One night is too much trouble and you will not get a good rest. The Thai hot pot of the young proprietress is delicious, the pork is very fresh, and the proprietress is very cute and friendly. recommend

It is so far from downtown Chiang Mai that it is almost impossible to get to and from the city by Grab or taxi. It would be a good idea to look for a way to have your accommodation provide a shuttle bus.
Homestay, accommodation in the middle of a natural forest, surrounded by lychee gardens and large trees. There are the sounds of birds and crows every morning. Suitable for people who like nature, like water cool spa in the morning swimming pool, like quiet, like privacy, want to come and relax and don't like chaos. Travel and parking are convenient. There is a paved road to the accommodation. Located 1,000 meters above sea level.

The accommodation is very relaxing and quiet, perfect for a real getaway. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious, especially the congee. We also ordered the *mookata* set, and it arrived exactly when we requested. It was so tasty and a huge portion; two people could barely finish it.

Great
AAnonymous UserSummary:
We had a great stay here at SkyView Monjam! The house had all the amenities we needed for a relaxing stay, albeit certain obscure corners could be cleaned up better. The staff were excellent and took great care of us, providing us with good food and catering to our requests as much as possible. Would definitely come back again for a relaxing retreat!
Cleanliness:
Overall very clean, though certain areas that are more difficult to reach in general could see certain signs of nature. But those areas are not visible unless you purposely look into it, which won't affect your stay overall. Staff will ask if the house needs to be cleaned daily, then changes the bedsheets and covers if yes. So rest assured that the sheets are clean and fresh.
Location:
Not the most accessible, but that should be expected when you are booking this place since it is up in the mountain area. Driving takes at least 1 hour with confident driving skills on windy mountainous roads. The last 200m or so to the house is bumpy off-road tracks. Transportation to and fro can be requested to the staff and booked at least 1 day in advance for a fixed fee. Do not bother trying to get Grab/Bolt rides as the final fare will end up much higher due to rural location and road condition. In fact, why bother going out when you can relax in nature 😃
Service:
Simply put, it was equivalent to a 5-star resort. The staff were very accommodating to our requests and timings, even waiting for us near past their working hours and our requested time to help prepare our dinner! Be rest assured that you will be well taken care of during the stay!
Amenities:
The MVP was the speaker provided, it stayed with us throughout our whole stay. Wifi was strong and readily available despite being in a less urban area. Shower water is fixed at a temperature as the hot water is boiled using gas, so any adjustments will require assistance from the staff to physically change the gas intake of the boiler. The air-conditioning is not the strongest at cooling the entire house, so a standing fan is provided to help circulate the cool air around. Other than utensils which can be requested from the staff, cooking appliances and tools are readily available.
GGuest UserThe hotel is beautiful, but it's built on a mountainside, so the buildings you need are spread out on a very steep road, so it's not easy to move around it. There are golf buggies that take you from place to place if you call them, but having to ask for a vehicle every time you want to go and eat or leave is quite annoying. The distances are walkable, but not if you have mobility issues. The pavements are also in far worse condition than the roads, so you end up walking on the roads and having to keep jumping out the way of the passing vehicles. Photos are attached of the view of the very steep road going up next to our balcony to show an example of the scale of the steepness.
The location is remote. Apparently taxi apps like Grab and Bolt do not work here, although we did manage to quickly book a Bolt to take us here from Chiang Mai centre. A car and driver can be hired from the hotel for 2500 baht for 4 hours. I wouldn't recommend visiting if you don't have your own vehicle, as there is nothing nearby you can walk to. On check-in, the hotel said they offered room service, but there were no menus in the rooms.
The room cleaning was slow if you are on a higher floor - on our 2 days, they didn't manage to visit all morning despite us leaving the ”please clean room” sign on the door. I found out later that you can ring reception to ask your room to be prioritised.
The restaurant is expensive compared to central Chiang Mai, and they recommend that you reserve a table every night you want to eat there, but the food was good. Service was a bit chaotic. On the night we arrived, at 5:30 pm, reception told us they had reserved a table for us. But when we went to the restaurant, that did not seem to be the case, and we were taken to an unreserved table in a loud and echoey room. I then had to go up and ask to order as no-one came, and then the order was missing items when it did arrive.
Randomly on the grounds near the lobby, there is a parrot in a tiny cage compared to its size with no entertainment, hardly any plants, and barely anywhere to perch. It's really sad to see.
TTwoessVery well furnished, clean hotel. There is a nice garden outside but unfortunately that is a smoking zone. Check-in was smooth. Beds were comfortable. Bathroom, soap, shampoo were great. The room I was allocated had noise from music nearby. I couldn't sleep early as a result. Breakfast was sufficient. Given the location of the hotel, the amenities existing in the hotel are necessary but they aren't functional. Bar and restaurant weren't functional during my stay. Accessibility to/ from the hotel are an issue. Even grab is not reliable in this area during evenings unless you book premium. The public park nearby is quite pretty and at a walking distance but there are rabid dogs en route, making it very unsafe. The sidewalks are unleveled. Lady at the reception working at night wasn't helpful to me or other guests who had simple requests. Trashy attitude. Reception imparts the first and final impression of a hotel, so a welcoming and helpful attitude is mandatory for good business. What's the point in naming a hall after Mahamaya when even basic 'maya' is delivered in a shabby way. Have a job, do it right or else sitting at home is always an option available by default.
GGuest UserThe view is beautiful, and the food is decent. The ingredients aren't particularly high-quality, but it's acceptable for a mountain setting. When we visited in December, the temperature was only 16 degrees Celsius. The main downside was the lack of hot water for showering; it was only around 37-39 degrees. They provided a large bathtub, but again, no hot water. When I brought it up, the staff suggested I shower faster? Maybe that works in summer, but in winter, it's something to reconsider. The room was also very cold at night, and they informed us there was only air conditioning, no heating.
GGuest UserThis is the perfect place to truly unwind and relax, absolutely no complaints! The staff are all incredibly helpful and genuinely passionate about service. Even though I booked a standard room, it was fantastic, complete with a bathtub and a comfortable bed.
For dinner, they offer a set BBQ and shabu-shabu for 1,500 baht. The ingredients were top-notch, just like dining at a high-end Japanese restaurant in the city, and the portions were generous.
Breakfast includes congee (rice porridge) which is part of the room rate, and you can refill the side dishes and congee as much as you like.
In summary, I've bookmarked this place and will definitely be returning!
CChutimaVery cozy and nice resort in Mon Jam. The resort architecture was really homey. We came to the resort too early before check-in time but we've been received great service and hospitalized to get early check-in also been upgraded to the bigger room to ”Mon Fah” that you can enjoy the stunning view at your room great balcony area. Hot chamomile tea retreated me from a bit cold but fresh greenery after rain during check-in waiting. After check-in, we took lunch at resort restaurant that they had Michaelin stars 3 consecutive years. Food was fresh and very healthy delicious especially organic vegg. We felt very warm hospitalized from all service minded and well trained staffs and especially 'Pee Su” the owner. All fruits especially papaya was really sweet and fresh. We encouraged yo support local organic farm directly here that you can enjoy shopping papaya, lemon, and seasonal vegg and fruits here. ”Nong Kwan” the resort staff brought us to the local chilli, lettuce and cabbage farm down hill that easy to access from resort. She's really friendly and amazingly she learnt how to plant by herself, from long year experience learning by doing was such a great expertise that she shared her know how with us and we learnt from her a lot about high land plantation. We appreciated Pee Su, Long Kwan and all staffs provided us great service like friends visit home. We promised next time to Mon Jam, we'll revisit your place once again for sure.
SSaturday19On our third night, we stayed at NJ Homestay Chiang Mai. It's a small homestay with only 5 rooms, and the atmosphere is fantastic! The staff are lovely and provide excellent service. #homestaychiangmai #monjam #chiangmai
GGuest UserIt’s a very unique glamping experience . The rooms are clean and have all the basics. If you’re going in the cold season, take extra blanket and layers for the night as it gets super cold inside the rooms.
It’s close to mon jam sky view. If yiu’re into hiking or running, the loop is also just next to you.
The gentleman at the reception is very welcoming, and genuinely kind. He helped us with our car issue patiently and kindly. We didn’t get to thank him properly as he was dealing with some arriving guest. So, thank you so much for your help.
