"Good location and friendly staff all. If you think it's a hotel that you have to see everything for the price It's a place that I'm so satisfied. There was a toilet in a double room and the bathroom was shared, but it was not very uncomfortable because it was locked and used by one person."

"I enjoyed my stay here, but for me, if you have big luggage, this is not an ideal place to stay. It’s hard to open your luggage in the room because it’s too small. I think this accommodation is better for interstate trips or if you’re trying to save money—you can still manage though. I also thought all floors had a hair dryer, especially the women’s floor where I stayed, but there wasn’t any. The rest was okay. Just be prepared that there is no elevator, so you’ll need to carry your luggage upstairs."

"The hotel has great location, old furniture, shower and they didn’t give me high floor room. The elevators are slow and need to wait forever to catch one. The photos from the hotel don’t match with the reality, in reality everything is super old, reception is bad and I don’t understand in what reality this hotel has 4 stars. I’ll come back to New York but will choose another hotel in the same location."

"This hotel offers incredibly easy access to John F. Kennedy Airport and Newark Liberty International Airport, as it's just a 5-minute walk from Penn Station. Be aware that you'll need to climb stairs to reach the 4th and 5th floors. The staff are very attentive and polite. While the private rooms are small, the price point for New York City makes it a great value. Everything is well-maintained and clean. They are very considerate about noise and snoring; during my stay, it was exceptionally quiet, and I was able to rest peacefully (earplugs were provided in the room, though I didn't need them). For breakfast, there's a generous spread of various breads, fruits, muffins, drinks, and more. There isn't much public space. They do store luggage, but the management of it felt a bit concerning – it was left in the hallway, almost as if anyone could just pick it up. The hotel has a strong Indian vibe."

"Not the WSH that I have stayed in so many times before.  The doorman stood and watched me struggle with the doors when I arrived; and never offered to help me up the stairs with my luggage.  Upon checking in I inquired about the restaurant and lounge hours.  There was nothing in the WSH web page to indicate they were closed for remodeling.  When I made that comment one of the desk clerks said, “If you knew you might not have come”.  Correct; but I would have come back in the future.  Now I will never return, especially since the room I was given had a window with a view of a fallen steel I-beam and a brick wall.  Not to mention it was at the end of a hallway where the door to the stairwell slammed loudly enough to shake the room all day long while staff were constantly using it.  A very ugly way to treat a loyal customer.  When I was informed that the hotel is under new management my only thought was “obviously”.  The transition has not been for the better.  At almost $450.00 per night you could do much, much better."

"hotel room is small (17 sqm), but practical. Included breakfast is a nice feature even though it is chaotic at times. Staff is super friendly and helpful, definitely a feature to mention. Room service a bit funky ... one day our soap (not even half used) was gone without replacement, one day only one shower towel, ... and one day a bottle of cleaning detergent was left in the room. The elevator logic would need some overhaul ... with 40+ floors and 4 elevators, it took sometimes up to 15min to catch an elevator (going down), and once inside and full it still stopped at every floor (some more clever logic - not the hotel's fault, but the elevator manufacturer's) announcing that it is full and people standing outside should wait for the next available one. Overall, even with the critical points mentioned, the expectations were met."

"The room wasn't huge, but for New York City, the price was decent, and the facilities were quite good. The front desk staff were also very helpful and even gave me a high-floor room with a view. However, the cleanliness was pretty subpar. When I unfolded a bath towel, I saw dust fall off – I'm not sure if it was lint or something else. After showering, I lay on the bed, and within 15 minutes, my face had an allergic reaction. I have a severe dust mite allergy, so I immediately suspected either the towel or the bedding was dirty. I called the front desk to ask if they had any allergy medicine and explained the situation, asking what could be done. They said the hotel didn't provide it and I could buy my own. They also mentioned that if I wanted to switch rooms, a manager would need to come up and check the situation first. Since I was exhausted after a concert and only staying one night, I just didn't bother changing rooms. I asked the front desk to send up fresh towels and ordered some medicine to be delivered to the hotel myself. So, my review is that everything was great except for the hygiene."

"Really enjoyed my stay at this hotel because the staff was fantastic from the moment they checked you in to the moment you leave. Staff such as Michelle and Frank were not only polite but friendly, and would go out of their way to help meet your requests or assist in your asks. The hotel's location was fantastic, within minutes' walk of several metro stations, and is of course, within walking distance to Times Square. The only improvement i'd suggest is for the hot water to be heated more quickly. In the interim, just turn the showerhead on for a few minutes before take your bath. Kudos to the team at Hilton Garden Inn Times Square Central!"

"I booked here because I didn't want to be crowded. The surrounding environment is good. The hotel room is small (but the price is cheap in Manhattan). There is no parking lot. It cost USD95 for 24 hours (parking is charged everywhere in New York). The room is small, of course, but the facilities are complete. It's okay."

"Excellent location near Penn Station. I have never gotten from JFK to the hotel so quickly. It is a 5 minute walk to Penn Station. The hotel room was in a quiet location, even though it was 30m from Broadway. I will stay at this hotel again next time."
