"The hotel is situated right in the city centre, in the middle of the Japanese quarter at 5 min walking distance from the opera. It makes moving around town very convenient. The staff speaks English which is very appreciated. During our stay we had no problems with anything. The water temperature and pressure in the shower is great. The breakfast offers a variety of dishes including fried ones (cutlet in rice paper, rolls, chicken balls etc), yoghurt, desserts, soup, congee, salad stall, pastry stall. Basically everything that you need is provided. Thank you for having a hot water in access, we found it hard in Vietnam to have just hot water during breakfast. Things that would make your hotel even better: - availability of small plates during breakfast, plates that are provided are too big. However, the plates you give with omelette are far more convenient for some people. It would be great to have an opportunity to take them and not only the big ones. - the toilet. It has got a washlet and it works perfectly without any doubts, but sometimes we had problems with flushing it, the water didn’t go down completely, other times everything was alright so I suppose maybe it’s just a matter of maintenance. Overall, my experience in this hotel is fantastic. I would definitely recommend staying here for all types of travelers from families with kids to party-goers."

"The room was tiny and not worth the price; it felt more like a motel than a hotel. The breakfast buffet wasn't very rich – wouldn't recommend it. No wonder there were so few people... In the public facilities, the two treadmills in the gym seemed different, which was odd. The pool was actually quite small (it looked much bigger in photos), but the rooftop view was pretty good. Some amenities were available on the second floor for self-service. Also, the restaurant was located one floor above the guest rooms, which was a bit strange to have to take the stairs up. Luckily, we were assigned to the top floor, so we could just walk up directly without having to take the elevator and then stairs. The only good thing was its convenient location in the city center; the area around it was also very lively. The room cleaning was spotless, and the front desk staff were very friendly. The TV could connect to Netflix and YouTube. Plus, there were free washing and drying machines, which was a nice bonus. If I were to stay again, I wouldn't add breakfast, and if the price is over 2,000 NTD, I wouldn't choose this place again. (I had previously stayed at another 4-star hotel at a similar price point, but the overall experience here was very disappointing in comparison. That other hotel was also in District 1, with much larger rooms and bathrooms, and it also had a gym and pool, plus a more extensive breakfast buffet.)"

"The room was spacious and clean, making for a comfortable stay. The amenities and services felt similar to what you'd find in a typical business hotel in Japan. I didn't use the breakfast or gym this time, so I can't comment on those. One minor issue I noticed was that the refrigerator wasn't very cold. Also, being asked to leave a Google review in front of the hotel staff felt a bit awkward. Overall, the room was clean and comfortable, so I'm generally satisfied."

"Important warning: Hotel staff in Vietnam are thieves. Do not leave your belongings unattended. I was stolen from twice, both times while I was at the breakfast buffet. Always keep your money and documents with you. Hotel Continental Saigon There are many hotels with similar names, but this one has a unique location. The entire hotel stands as a living testament to four crucial periods in Vietnam's modern history: French colonialism, the Vietnam War, reunification, and the Doi Moi (renovation) era. The building itself is a living specimen of Southeast Asian French colonial architecture, possessing literary, war-related, and urban historical significance. Consequently, the hotel rooms retain their original charm; they are spacious and include an antechamber. The cleanliness is meticulously maintained. This was the last hotel I stayed at during my 30-day trip to Vietnam, and I was here for five nights. The air conditioning in the rooms works well, but the breakfast buffet in the hotel courtyard has no air conditioning and can get a bit warm. The hotel's location is excellent, right next to the Saigon Opera House. The Saigon double-decker tour bus stop is right at the entrance. A 60-minute double-decker bus tour of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, costs 45 VND. The Nguyen Hue Walking Street in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, is also nearby. However, during my five-day stay in Saigon, I ate dinner out every night. Fortunately, the Vincom Center Dong Khoi is right next to the hotel. It's one of Ho Chi Minh City's most upscale shopping malls, conveniently located adjacent to the hotel. It houses numerous international luxury brands, features modern architecture, and even has a high-end hotel inside. It's very popular with tourists and local high-spending individuals. It's quite similar to Shanghai's Joy City or the New World on Nanjing Road, with over a hundred different restaurants offering a wide array of choices."

"The location is fantastic, as it's within walking distance to Japan Town, Takashimaya, Vincom Center, and even the Saigon River area. I requested laundry service, and they kindly took care of it for only 50,000 VND, which was great. The front desk staff were also very accommodating. There was shampoo and body wash provided, but it would have been even better if hand soap had also been available."

"I had a great stay at Amaya Saigon Hotel. The hotel is new, started business about 6 months ago according to staff. Location is near Japan town with lots of F&B. Customers service is great. And have good selection for breakfast. Will definitely return in future."

"We love the hotel as it was located at the prime area, easy accessible to everywhere, Ben thanh market, night market, restaurants. All are walking distance. The hotel is very clean and the staff is very friendly too. They served us two coconut drinks after our checked in. They provide free breakfast too although is very decent but it’s good enough."

"The hotel has a really nice design. I arrived quite early, and the front desk staff were very helpful, allowing me to check in early at 12 PM. They were also very enthusiastic about recommending nearby attractions and things to do. The room was new, smelled fresh, and was clean. The room rate was also reasonable for being in the city center and close to historical sites. The breakfast had a wide variety of dishes. There's also underground parking available. A big thank you to Nguyên, Linh, Uyên, and Ngọc for their assistance; it was a very comfortable experience. Everyone should definitely give it a try! 👍"

"1️⃣There's a deposit, which I didn't like. 2️⃣Aside from the decent breakfast, the cleaning was very sloppy. 3️⃣On my business trip to Vietnam, I managed to avoid all sorts of traps, even preparing plastic bags for the security check where you have to take off your shoes! Who would've thought that on my last night in Ho Chi Minh City, I'd stumble upon thousands of people gathered in the square watching a live football broadcast? 😅 At first, I didn't realize how serious it was. After enjoying the excitement, I headed back to the hotel, planning to get some early rest as I had an early flight the next morning. But then! After the fun, the nightmare began. The loudspeakers downstairs blared non-stop, and the noise continued until past 4 AM. I had to wake up at 6 AM the next day to catch my flight to Singapore, and I was basically kept awake for several hours. 😭😭😭 Who would've thought staying in downtown Saigon would subject me to such an ordeal? It was an agonizing night. 😭😭😭"

"Had a lovely stay here. The location was great, and the bed was really comfortable — the pillows were just perfect! Viet Anh and the rest of the staff were very helpful and welcoming. The air conditioning was at a comfortable temperature, and the shower pressure was honestly amazing haha. Would definitely stay here again!"
