"The room is very clean and tidy, and there are a lot of disposable items, so there is no need to worry about hygiene. There are many tables and chairs in the yard, the sky curtain, very suitable for friends to gather and enjoy the cool. There are also cute rabbits and green plants in the yard, which is very warm. "My stay at Qiongkushitai Stargazing had its pros and cons. On the positive side, the room's bed was equipped with heating, which was incredibly useful given the cold local weather. I was able to sleep quite comfortably at night and get some good rest. The guesthouse also had many adorable and lively small animals, including lambs, bunnies, and chickens. However, there were a few issues with the bathroom facilities. Firstly, the bathroom temperature was quite low, lacking sufficient heating, making showers feel very cold. Secondly, the hot water supply was inconsistent, fluctuating between hot and cold, making it difficult to adjust to a comfortable temperature. In the mornings, hot water was almost unusable, causing significant inconvenience for washing. Additionally, the bathroom drainage system needs improvement. The drain was slow, leading to severe water accumulation during showers, which affected the user experience and posed a potential safety hazard. Overall, the guesthouse service was excellent. They provided afternoon tea and a sweet soup before bed. The guesthouse manager also promptly came to help resolve the bathroom issues."

"The boss is a couple from Zhejiang. He came to Tekes for love and bought this homestay for his wife. The reception was very warm. When we first arrived at the homestay, we were served watermelon 🍉 to cool down, and there were dried apples, red dates and other Xinjiang dried fruits for us to eat. The yard is very comfortable and cozy. Compared with the cookie-cutter rooms in the hotel, this yard is really much more comfortable. All the towels, toothbrushes and cups in the room are disinfected and sealed. My husband said that this is very thoughtful and is the only one that has been achieved among all the hotels we have stayed in so far. It dispels customers' doubts about the hygiene of personal items. Many five-star hotels I have stayed in before cannot do this. My baby especially likes their cat 🐱. He is very happy chasing the cat around the yard. The style of the whole homestay is ancient and ancient. It is highly recommended🥰🥰🥰"

"Qiongkushitai is beautiful, both the front and back mountains are stunning (I didn't get to go to either, whose fault is that???). The guesthouse has a great location, on a grassland slope in the front of the mountain, with a particularly open view. The wildflowers covering the hillside against the blue sky and white clouds are simply breathtaking. The rooms are large, but it gets cold on the mountain, so bring plenty of warm clothes. The mountain weather is unpredictable; it can get hot and cold in one place, so be sure to pack extra layers. Don't be deterred from coming just because it's raining; the sun might come out again soon. The road to Qiongkushitai has many curves, and passing other vehicles on the two-lane road can be difficult. Drive slowly. The guesthouse owner is a funny guy. You can become friends in just five minutes. He can take photos and use a drone (provided he's available; he didn't let us take any 😭). The guesthouse has dogs and cats; the Golden Retriever puppy (actually a large Golden Retriever, named Little Golden Retriever) is adorable, and the black and white cat has four puppies. The puppies were rolling around on the grass—so cute! At night, you can see a sky full of stars; I haven't seen such a beautiful starry sky in many years. You can even see the Milky Way faintly with the naked eye. The owner had a tripod and invited us to get up at 3 AM to photograph the Milky Way, but we were too tired to get up. We definitely need to come back to photograph the Milky Way next time! 💪"

"The location is easy to find, the hotel is relatively new, the furnishings are no big problem, and there is no smell of new furniture. The breakfast was also very delicious. We didn't go outside to find food every morning, just solve it at the hotel. Sleeping at night was also quiet, and people who were sensitive to sound did not hear any other sound. There are such a few points: 1. As soon as I entered the door, I saw that the ground was a bit garbage and not clean. The floor should be not cleaned every day. 2. Disposable items are changed every day, but almost all other places are not sorted and not moved. 3. The bathroom is a bit blocked. Water will overflow, 4. The row we live in is outside the construction site. If you stay in the hotel during the day, it will be a bit noisy, and it will not be noisy at night."

"The hotel is located among a cluster of guesthouses at the foot of Qiongkushitai Mountain. Parking is only available in the entrance parking lot, and the owner will send someone to pick you up. The room is simply furnished; the bedside table and storage space are too small. The toilet seat was broken, and there was no hand soap, so I had to use face wash to wash my hands. The cabins have very poor soundproofing; you can hear everyone walking outside, which is very annoying for light sleepers. For dining, there's a street of restaurants further in, with recommended steak/lamb hot pot options. Further in is the entrance to the Wusun Ancient Road, which offers beautiful scenery; on a clear night, you can see the Milky Way from the courtyard."

"Facilities: As a new hotel camp, the internal facilities are quite good and relatively clean. Hygiene: The hygiene conditions are also acceptable. They don't wear uniforms and are very confused – truly confused. In Xinjiang, for a few hundred yuan, even simpler hotels have a butler who contacts you the day before and follows up throughout your stay. This hotel is something else; they can't remember their own procedures and keep calling later, asking all sorts of questions, and I don't understand what they don't understand 🤦‍♀️. And the buffet – simply incomprehensible, absolutely do not eat it. The dinner buffet, which you pay for, has no fruit, only mineral water for drinks, and rice as the main staple. The service staff know nothing when asked and just sit around chatting 🤦‍♀️. There weren't even ten dishes in total. For the two days our stay included breakfast, we didn't even dare to go. This is a hotel that costs over 1000 RMB per night! It's truly shocking. In Xinjiang, even hotels costing just over 500 RMB offer better service and breakfast. Seriously, avoid this place. Looking back repeatedly, among all the days we spent in Xinjiang, this is the only hotel that is so baffling. The price and amenities are completely mismatched."

GGuest UserThis was the best guesthouse of our Xinjiang trip! The views are absolutely stunning, with our triple room offering two panoramic viewpoints (front and back) and a lovely balcony. The bedding was also super comfortable! The location is wonderfully secluded, with vast grasslands to explore just a few hills away. Every corner is picture-perfect! We even saw the 'Golden Mountain bathed in sunlight' phenomenon at dusk. On our first day, we just lay there admiring the scenery for half a day. Plus, the food at the guesthouse was delicious – we ate there for two days straight. I'd definitely recommend it to friends!

GGuest UserWhat a hidden gem of a hotel! We arrived at 11 PM and called ahead to order dinner from the hotel restaurant. The lamb hotpot was absolutely incredible – seriously, so, so good. The service was outstanding and so welcoming. The staff helped with all our luggage; even if I walked past with just a backpack, someone would immediately offer to carry it. The coffee at breakfast was also the best I'd had in all my days in Xinjiang. Beyond the beautiful environment, the hotel also offers horse riding (for a fee) and archery (free). We stayed at the hotel until well after noon before checking out, which was incredibly relaxing. We initially thought it would be a two-hour drive to Kokesu, but a staff member told us about an entrance that was only a 20-minute drive away. That was a huge help, truly. All in all, everything was perfect. We didn't get to see the stars because it rained that night, but we had no regrets at all because this hotel is just phenomenal. Oh, and the hotel also has fast charging stations for electric cars!

RRakdoiWe had a great stay here at Xinyejian Homestay! The room was clean and comfortable, and there was a radiator and heated bed so we never felt cold at all. The hosts were also friendly, attentive and caring, they responded quickly on WeChat, and helped us arrange for a driver to Qiongkushitai and back to Tekes as we did not drive our own car. They also recommended a very good horseman who brought the horses right to the homestay to begin horse riding to Sunwu Road and Gaoshan Hu. We went in the first week of September and the grass was still green, there are slopes at the back and next to the homestay with occasional grazing sheep, horses and cows to explore. It is at a good location, between the entrance to the back mountains and Qiongkushitai village/ Wusun road, the walk on foot is about 20 minutes each way. The hosts also sent us walking route directions and offered to send us by car to the back mountains, he also picked us up from the village car park on our first day. At night we could see the Milky Way and the stars, and it is very quiet at night. The hosts also prepare a daily breakfast and we ordered a yummy dinner as well on one of our nights there. Would recommend everyone to choose this homestay.

You can see snow-capped mountains right from the window, and they even have that trendy swing for photos, adorable little lambs, and a forest-themed coffee shop – everything was just perfect. The staff were all so kind and friendly. The facilities are excellent, and the heating in the room was wonderfully warm. The restaurant offers all-day dining with delicious stir-fries and a tasty bean and rice hotpot. Staying two nights here was truly worth it; it's definitely an Instagrammable spot!

XXingfudemaxiuWe are newcomers to Northern Xinjiang for the first time. I originally booked this B&B because I was going to Kalajun Grassland (top 3 scenery in Ili). Unexpectedly, I accidentally bumped into Qiongkush Terrace, which ranks top 2 in Ili scenery. This B&B is on the top of a mountain. It has an excellent location. The scenery outside the window is so beautiful. Please see the accompanying picture, no photoshop. You are very close to the stars at night, and you can watch the sun rise from Tianshan Mountain in the morning! And there is also this so-called internet celebrity swing (we didn’t know about it until we arrived). It is estimated that many people go to the swing in the back mountain because of a few big Vs, but the real thing is here! The house is clean and warm. The boss is very enthusiastic and down-to-earth. To get here, you need to walk a mountainous road with many twists and turns. Remember to fill up your tank before going up the mountain. This is what the boss told us. So we arrived very late, and the boss was waiting all the time and cooked delicious food for us! The biggest surprise was going to the Wusun Ancient Trail! ! We gave up on Karajun directly. The rainforest on the Wusun Ancient Trail is simply an instant kill for Kalajun. No tickets yet. It is recommended to enter on horseback, but you can of course go on foot. If you are riding a horse, it is recommended to find a local kid friend. They will not only tell you a lot of local life stories. They also take various photos for you, which is of great emotional value!

GGanjubingChoosing Wuyin Zhidi for our trip to Kalajun was absolutely the right decision! The hotel is super close to the East Gate of Kalajun Scenic Area, just a ten-minute drive. Our butler, Xiao Ba, wasn't just handsome, but also incredibly thoughtful and attentive. He was always responsive to our needs and gave us great tips on the best places to visit and the most beautiful scenic spots – he was really, really nice! As for the hotel room, it was very clean, spacious, and had an amazing view. They even treated us to a wonderful, extensive afternoon tea with incredibly sweet fruit. This place is definitely worth it! Highly, highly recommend!!!

GGuest UserThe facilities were surprisingly good! Before heading up the mountain, I looked at many hotels, most of which were slightly upscale and cost over 2,000 yuan. I was a bit hesitant to choose this one because of its low ratings and price, especially considering it had a bathtub and shower. Upon arrival, I was surprised to find a large courtyard with parking, a rare find in the mountains. There were also lambs in the courtyard, perfect for taking photos and petting! The cats and dogs were also adorable! Chatting with the owner, I learned it was a newly opened hotel and hadn't been busy advertising, hence its relative obscurity. The bedding was incredibly soft and clean, making me feel very comfortable. The room wasn't very well ventilated; perhaps the downside of large windows is that they can't be opened directly. However, the owner suggested we open the door for ventilation, which was nice. Sitting on the platform under the corridor, drinking tea and chatting, was truly blissful… As for food, there was a Han Chinese restaurant right outside. We ate there the first night, and the next morning we ate with the restaurant owner, realizing how silly we were the first time! The meal with the owner was both inexpensive and delicious! (However, the owner mentioned that they don't usually take people to share meals; they only do so occasionally when there are fewer customers, which is quite rare.) The fact that they didn't charge exorbitant prices despite being in the mountains made us feel that the owner is a very honest and conscientious person. She's truly a woman who doesn't seem to be focused on making money but has a lot of passion and a love for life! She also mentioned that if business is good in the future, she'll add a movie viewing area and a terrace for coffee and tea—we can't wait! (*^o^*) Another thing that really warmed our hearts was that everyone from the volunteers to the owner was a very young and kind woman. It felt like a very women-friendly place. We were quite worried since it was our first time in the mountains of Xinjiang, but we unexpectedly met some very helpful and compatible fellow travelers. On our first day, they were very welcoming and attentive in helping us with our luggage. On the second day, the owner even found a horseman she knew to help us find horses to ride and introduced us to the scenic routes. It was a wonderful experience! The stars in Qiongkushitai are incredibly bright at night. It rained a bit on the first afternoon, and I thought I wouldn't be able to see its beauty, but a rainbow appeared! The Milky Way was still dazzling at night, which was truly amazing. I feel like you can visit Qiongkushitai with your eyes closed. This hotel has made me love Xinjiang even more! I highly recommend everyone to stay here. I really hope to see it even better next time I visit!
