"For the last few days of my Indonesia trip, to escape the crowds of Bali, I came to Lombok to slow down and recuperate. I stayed one night at the Sheraton in Senggigi, and the service was so attentive, detailed, and thoughtful that it was unforgettable. Arriving at this hotel, there was a huge drop-off in experience right from the moment we walked in. First, it was very unusual for them to take us to our room with our luggage to check-in. They led us to a small room on the second floor in a corner of the backyard. It was so tiny that there wasn't even space to open our suitcases. After completing the formalities, they opened the curtains and told us they were sorry, but there was construction going on at a neighbor's site outside the window, which might be disturbing. I said that wasn't right; I had clearly booked a mountain view or garden view room, which was also larger than this. This was obviously not the room I booked. My husband spent a long time discussing it with the check-in staff, and they agreed to change our room. They showed us a larger room and said we'd have to pay extra, which we didn't accept. We insisted on a room with the same conditions and price as our original booking. We then had to wait in the courtyard for a long time again. Finally, we were moved to a room that was more or less comparable to what we had booked. It felt like there was a clear差別待遇 (differential treatment) between Chinese tourists and Caucasian tourists; if you don't argue your case, you'll be assigned the worst rooms that don't meet booking standards. After that, the service attitude was still acceptable. However, the next day, I asked the housekeeping staff for two extra bottles of water. When I returned to the room, I saw a trash can filled with two bottles of water placed on the bed. I don't know what that meant. I originally wanted to be more eco-friendly and not change the bedding, but now I had no choice but to ask them to change all the linens. The hotel's location is quiet yet convenient. The design style and interior space are quite good, and the breakfast at the restaurant has long serving hours and decent taste. It's not far from the beach, and it's convenient for shopping and dining nearby, but the overall prices are a bit high."

The location was also ideal: quiet enough to relax, yet close enough to Kuta’s great cafes and beaches. I especially appreciated the attention to detail — from the well-kept rooms to the shared kitchen and communal spaces that made it easy to meet other travelers. But what truly made my stay unforgettable was the host and staff — always kind, helpful, and quick to assist with anything I needed, whether it was arranging transport or sharing local recommendations. If you’re coming to Kuta Lombok and want a stay that’s affordable, stylish, and full of heart — Lombokhouse is the place. Would absolutely come back again!"

"We loved it. The location is quiet but 3 minutes to the Main Street. The hotel itself is Instagram picturesque. You’ll feel like in Disneys Aladdin. Breakfast is also great. The service is especially good. We stayed in a 5 star resort before and noticed no difference to the staff friendliness and attitude. If we come to lombok again we will definitely stay at Kumbara."

"The room is the same as the photo, the swimming pool is very small and you can only take a dip in the water. The hotel provides paid airport transfers, and can also pick up guests to nearby attractions (Tanjung Aan Beach and Bukit Merese are highly recommended for watching the sunset). The staff speaks very good English and have no problem communicating. They can also use WhatsApp to communicate conveniently. You can take away breakfast in a lunch box, but it only contains a few pieces of cake and bread and a small banana. Some design issues: The door of the room is a bit heavy, and the air conditioning in the room escapes easily."

"The atmosphere is very peaceful, with a beautiful view. The waiters are very friendly and always ready to help. The room price with breakfast is very satisfactory. I will stay again if I go to Lombok."

"Fantastische villa met private pool. Ver van Kuta, je moet een behoorlijk eindje over jl. Mawun met de scooter om bij Olea villas te komen. Maar je komt wel thuis in een heerlijke villa met fantastisch zwembadje. Het personeel is super vriendelijk. Ontbijt ( wat overigens heerlijk is ) komen ze brengen bij de villa, scooter kan je via hun huren tegen prima prijs ( wij hadden een 125cc voor 100.000 pd ). Ze doen de was voor 20.000 per kilo. Echt top! De eerste avond hadden we 2 dikke spinnen in de kamer, die hingen in een hoek boven bij de gordijnen. Niet goed gecheckt dus tijdens schoonmaak. Verder zijn er veel rupsjes in en om de villa. Je zit een beetje op een berg en met veel groen om je heen, dus je ontkomt er niet aan. De laatste dag hadden we een aap op onze muur. Prijs kwaliteit is dik in orde. Laatste dag konden we laat uitchecken, vervoer van/naar airport kan ook voor 250.000. Alles gaat via whatsapp, reactie komt altijd heel snel en is keurig. Al met al dik tevreden hier. Aanrader."

"We had such a lovely stay. The hotel and amenities are really nice, great pool & restaurant, clean and comfortable room. The location is a bit far away, but the hotel can help you to arrange motorbike rent to reach the town, which takes about 10-15 min. It's nestled in the mountains which makes it very relaxing though!"

"The place is a bit distant from others as it is on top of the hill and the breakfast is a one plate course. Do take note that the jacuzzi doesnt warm up. It’s more of a chill pool However the view is nice, The room is nice, the staff are top. I would most definitely stay here again."
