"We were pleasantly surprised to find a hot spring bath in our hotel room, though I'm not sure if all rooms have one! The surrounding area is beautiful. Right next to the hotel, there's ziplining, tree trekking, and fishing, which is super convenient. In the evening, you can enjoy the mountain lights. It's also easy to drive to the city for dinner and grocery shopping; it only takes about 8 minutes."

"If you enjoy an expensive, overcrowded hotel with little personal service, you've come to the right place! Pay premium to do your own check-in and scan your own passports too! The saving grace for this hotel are the rooms: Such a gorgeous view of Lake Toya! You can also see Mt Yotei in the distance, as well as the beautiful Nakajima island in the middle of the lake. The rooms are spacious and you can watch the nightly fireworks from the comfort of your balcony. Both the breakfast and dinner buffets are served in the cavernous Le Vent restaurant where the spread is fairly extensive but arguably underwhelming. Did I mention a JPY 11k (that's right) lost room key card charge?? A 7-pointer for me and I would search for alternatives if I were to stay at Lake Toya again."

"The basic price was reasonable, but the service was terrible. The facilities were poor. The room was spacious, but the quality of the door seemed questionable, and the locking mechanism was very old-fashioned, probably because it was converted into a guest room later. There's a huge difference between lake-view and mountain-view rooms, and the front desk said almost all mountain-view rooms were corner rooms. I don't recommend the two-meal plan; although I expected frozen food, it was still incredibly unappetizing. The onsen was old-fashioned, with only one outdoor pool in a wooden hut. You could see the fireworks, but they were obstructed. I went to the lakeside pavilion for a day trip, which had fully outdoor open-air onsens – the facility difference was truly significant. The only thing worth praising was that the service was much better than expected; both the restaurant staff and the various front desk personnel I encountered had excellent attitudes."

Encountering such dedicated individuals during a trip is undoubtedly a rare stroke of luck. And the hotel's facilities are full of surprises! Outside the large public bath, complimentary drinks are available, along with table tennis and arcade games, adding a playful touch to your relaxation. The lobby features Japanese snacks and board games, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere; the relaxation area on the second floor is even more serene and comfortable – once you sit down, you won't want to leave. The dining experience here is simply sublime. Various alcoholic beverages are kept in ice buckets, freely awaiting wine enthusiasts! Dinner is exquisite and innovative; each dish is a stunning work of art, so delicious that it makes you want to return just for the food. Breakfast is delicate and abundant, awakening your taste buds and setting a wonderful tone for the day. The shiso soda thoughtfully provided in the in-room mini-fridge is incredibly refreshing after a hot spring soak, leaving a lasting, pleasant aftertaste. The toiletries have a delicate fragrance, leaving the skin soft and comfortable after use – even these small details are not overlooked. The overall service is friendly and sincere, without being overly familiar, yet maintaining just the right amount of professionalism. It truly feels like a 'just right' luxury experience! "We got a Japanese room and this was clean. It's an older ”luxury” hotel that is showing it's age with wear on carpets, walls and bathroom. Hotel would add lots value just replacing hallway carpets. It's selling point is the waterfront view of fireworks and the rooftop onsen which provided a beautiful view of the lake and mountains. We stayed during foggy weather, and the view from the natural mineral water filled onsen was magical. Despite all the guests, Onsen was always empty when visited so nice unlike other hotels on this trip. Breakfast buffet quality was ok, and built for masses. Bus stop is right in front of hotel but buses run infrequently to jr station or to crater. Overall good memorable stay."

"Our group of four occupied a single room to facilitate conversation. While the room was somewhat compact for four beds, the breakfast offered was excellent with a wide variety of choices. The counter staff were proficient in English, and the hotel provided English television programming, unlike other establishments. The staff consistently demonstrated courtesy and friendliness, and were highly capable of addressing our inquiries."

"Muwa is a stylish and professional young hotel with an edgy yet luxurious design. Hito’s food is amazing from breakfast to dinner. It was one of the most delicious meals we’ve ever had in Japan. The flavours are perfectly balanced and the pork is tender and not oily at all. What really stood out was the attentive service. The lady and manager who served us dinner were incredibly thoughtful and genuinely cared about our experience. We especially wanted to thank Ran and Dylan for their warm hospitality. They made us feel right at home and prepared a birthday fruit platter and wine for my special day. The room was very new and spotlessly clean. We had a great night’s sleep and thoroughly enjoyed the onsen. The body wash and shampoo were from Aesop, which added to the luxurious feel. We’ll definitely be returning to this high-quality and customer-centric hotel in the future."

"I was looking forward to my stay in Setsu Niseko but I feel disappointed with their breakfast. Maybe it’s green season, breakfast choices is based on Ala carte and very limited to same menu; kids have to eat the same thing everyday, no other choice. Parking: no complimentary parking for hotel guest, you have to pay JPY2000/day. Pro: room is spacious, onsen is good, hotel is very clean!"

At night we could see fireworks from the room, zero crowds needed. Felt so special. *Highlights:* 1. *Private onsen option*: Booked a private family onsen and it was worth every yen. Clean, spacious, and relaxing with lake views. No rushing with others. 2. *Fireworks*: Room faced the lake so we watched the nightly summer fireworks from bed. Hotel staff even told us the timing. 10/10 experience. 3. *Room*: Spacious Japanese-Western room, tatami + bed. Clean and well-maintained. 4. *Location*: Right by the lake + short walk to shops. Buffet dinner had local Hokkaido food too."

"We stayed at Niseko Towers and overall had a mixed experience. The location is great if you’re driving, as there is plenty of parking available. Without a car, however, it may feel less convenient. The building has an onsen on-site, which was a nice touch after a long day out. One of the biggest positives is the size of the apartment — it’s very spacious, with more than enough room for large luggage and ski gear. This makes it comfortable for longer stays. However, there were some downsides. The bed was quite hard, and we both woke up with back pain during our stay. Unfortunately, the breakfast was disappointing — very limited selection and lacking in quality. It didn’t feel like much care was put into the overall hospitality experience. In summary, the space and parking are strong points, but improvements in bedding comfort and breakfast quality would make a big difference."
