"1. Breakfast was leftovers from the previous night; I found it in the fridge the night before, and it was still on the table the next day. 2. The clock tower is right next to the window, chiming every half hour, making it impossible to sleep. There's also a landline phone next to the room that rings in shifts with the clock tower. 3. The bathroom is shared, not in the room. There are several twisted, rickety steps; I almost slipped and fell when I went to use it in the middle of the night. 4. They didn't keep their promise: they promised a room with a bathtub and toothpaste and a comb. When I arrived, they didn't provide any of these and made me pay for them myself. 5. There were damp insects everywhere. 6. They tried to charge me a separate cleaning fee? And the room wasn't even cleaned. This place is a scam."

"Excellent boutique hotel in the center of Pienza. It only offers 12 rooms but the are well appointed and great accommodations. Walking distance to all Pienza has to offer. Hotel staff is wonderful especially Alessio and Valeria. The hotel restaurant is also very good and a good option. Highly recommended."

"3rd time I've stayed here. That sums up my view perfectly. As always Luca (the host) was the consummate professional. The room spacious. The breakfast simply sumptuous with home made pastries as well. You can't fault the location either, as the hotel is 200 meters from the Centro Storico. Look forward to re-visiting for a 4th time !"

The room was very comfortable, the scenery was charming, the food in the restaurant was very delicious, the beef Tata was recommended (recommended for eating raw food), the service was very intimate, the warmth of the town, walking in this ancient town, lingering, Italy will come back next time."

"The Podere (farmhouse) Spodere is picture perfect. The grounds are gorgeous. The breakfast served each morning is very fresh and has lots of variety. We opted for one dinner that was also delicious. The rooms are quaint and rustic. The swimming pool is an added perk since it’s kept at a cool temperature and is super refreshing especially during hot summer days. The only drawback is that there is no A/C in the rooms so it got quite hot and was difficult to sleep when temperatures were soaring. The town of Pienza is only a 10-12 min drive away and is very lovely. Lots of restaurants and cafes and shops and lovely church and spectacular views. One highlight for us was the visit to the Brunello wine vineyard recommended by this hotel. It was well worth it!"

"The scenery was beautiful, and the house was very clean, but it’s not very convenient for those without a car. The host was truly wonderful and enthusiastic. He kindly drove us from Pienza to the accommodation, arranged for us to rent bicycles and had them delivered to the house. When we left, the buses weren’t running, so he even helped us book a taxi, ensuring we made our train on time. It was an absolutely fantastic experience. Il paesaggio era meraviglioso e la casa era molto pulita, ma non è molto comoda per chi non ha un’auto. Il proprietario è stato davvero eccezionale e molto accogliente. Ci ha gentilmente accompagnati in auto da Pienza all’alloggio, si è occupato di noleggiarci le biciclette e di farcele consegnare direttamente in casa. Quando siamo ripartiti, gli autobus non circolavano, quindi ci ha anche aiutato a prenotare un taxi, assicurandosi che riuscissimo a prendere il treno in tempo. È stata un’esperienza davvero fantastica."
