"This is an old-fashioned hotel with over a hundred years of history in the area. It's a combination of two classical hotel buildings, a modern central lobby and restaurant built more recently, and a two-story modern apartment-style accommodation at the back. The two classical hotel buildings are Carlton and Europe. Their interiors have been largely optimized for modern needs. The current hotel owners, while renovating, had to adhere to government regulations for preserving the antique structure. However, the rest of the amenities have been modernized as much as possible, with original wood flooring used for repairs and replacements. Overall, it's a very good hotel! Breakfast is buffet-style, but the selection is essentially a Swiss-European breakfast: yogurt, bread and jam, juice, hot tea and coffee, scrambled eggs, sausages, bacon, pan-fried shredded potatoes, fruit, and various cheeses and cold cuts. For tourists not accustomed to Western-style meals, it might be a bit challenging. The restaurant also offers additional egg dishes or other options for an extra charge – but you have to pay more! The location is very convenient. Right outside is Interlaken Ost station, the starting point for various attractions in the Alps. You can even take a boat from here to the small town of Brienz, or to Iseltwald, famous for the Korean drama 'Crash Landing on You.' Both the pier and the small castle are stunning scenic spots. Upon check-in, the front desk provides a free bus pass, allowing you to take buses to explore various towns. This is different from the mountain trains and cable cars, which require extra payment to go up the mountains quickly. Generally, most attractions stop going up the mountain after 5 PM, so it's best to start early in the morning to make good use of your time! However, this hotel still has its drawbacks. For example, while the water supply is comprehensive, the hot and cold water stability is very poor. Turning on the hot water can be scalding, and sometimes it suddenly turns cold mid-shower, then becomes super hot again. The showering experience is quite subpar! Each guest room uses a classical keyhole lock for opening and closing the door. There's no modern double-bolt lock; you have to lock the door from the inside with the door key. The upside is that once locked from the inside, the keyhole is filled by the key, preventing anyone from picking the lock from the outside. When you go out and lock up, the heavy key can be left in the mail slot at the front desk, or entrusted to the front desk for safekeeping, in a classic manner! Most importantly, this hotel does not allow children! According to the owner's vision, he wants this hotel to be adult-focused, allowing busy people to enjoy their own time while traveling and recharging, rather than having to take care of children during their vacation. This way, adults can truly live for themselves. Therefore, this hotel does not allow guests under 16 years old. If you plan to book with children, please look for accommodation elsewhere – it's better for both parties! Overall, this is a good place for mature individuals to stay, perfect for those focused on enjoying mountain excursions. Who wouldn't want to return to their hotel immediately after coming down the mountain to rest?"

"The room is nice and has a balcony. If you travel to the Interlaken area, there are several beautiful towns with Interlaken as the center, plus the Jungfrau scenic area. It is more suitable to stay for 2 nights and drive by yourself. I can recommend the village where this hotel is located. There are several farmhouses in the village (called farmhouses in China), and this one is better. It is convenient to drive to major attractions and is 5 minutes' drive from the center of Interlaken. Food and accommodation are all OK. The only thing is that there is no elevator, so be careful with heavy boxes."

"Just a stone's throw from the train station, making it very convenient for travel. The facilities are a bit old-fashioned, but the service is decent. It's very easy to get to Jungfraujoch from here. There are a few good viewpoints in the town itself, so there's no need to go up the mountain if the weather isn't great."

You can drive into the hotel. The road is relatively narrow. There is an access control card on the last section of the road. Finally, I contacted the hotel in advance to ask for the password. "## Environment The location is absolutely stunning, directly facing snow-capped mountains and a picturesque hillside. The view from our room window was simply gorgeous. It's also conveniently located right next to the train station, and you can even watch trains pass through the beautiful scenery. ## Facilities Although the hotel is historic, it's impeccably clean and well-maintained. It beautifully combines classic charm with modern conveniences. Parking is available but costs 25 CHF per day. ## Service Overall, the service was quite good. However, on our second day, housekeeping didn't replenish our complimentary water bottles, seemingly because we hadn't finished the ones from the previous day. When we finished them and called reception for more, we were initially told there would be a charge. After we explained that the water hadn't been refilled during cleaning, they promptly sent some up free of charge. Interestingly, the mini-bar drinks are complimentary. On a lighter note, the cleaning staff accidentally left a cleaning cloth behind, haha! Each of us also received a complimentary voucher for the evening lounge, redeemable for a drink while enjoying live piano music – a really nice touch. The pool was wonderfully empty, but unfortunately, the sauna was out of order that day."

"This is a lovely hotel with a lot to offer. The location is truly excellent—close to public transport and within walking distance of the main station. The staff were friendly and helpful, and our room was spacious and very clean.  The only area that didn't meet our expectations was the breakfast. The selection was quite limited, and the quality didn't seem to match the rest of the hotel experience. It was the one thing we were disappointed with. Despite the breakfast, we had a great stay and would recommend this hotel for its fantastic location and comfortable rooms."

"The people working in the hotel are great, they are very friendly and helpful! The room in general is very clean, but the hotel has many flies flying around, especially during breakfast, there are many flies just lying on the bread and also flying around our food. Location from the hotel to city center is around 20~30 minutes walk, and there is a bus passing by the hotel every 20~30 minutes as well, for us it is alright, but we need to check the schedule to make sure we don't miss the bus, otherwise we will need to wait another 30 minutes for next bus or just walk to the city center."

"The helpful reviews are accurate. Awesome room view and great service from all staff. We have two adults and one child and they connected two single beds and provided and extra bed. I would say just book (level 4 lifestyle room) with a peace of mind and do remember to bring your own toiletries."
