Guest UserPros:
1. The hotel is nestled halfway up the mountain, offering fresh air and truly beautiful surroundings. It's a peaceful escape from the city's hustle and bustle, and the hotel's decor and maintenance are quite good. Our butler, Bella, was incredibly meticulous and thoughtful, taking care of every little detail. She met all our needs, making our stay exceptionally comfortable.
2. There's a wide array of facilities and activities, including a mountainside hot spring, indoor pool, Hatha yoga, singing bowl therapy, a gym, and a kids' club. It's perfect for families, and the kids' club is large and newly renovated â it just reopened in May. It's definitely more fun than the kids' clubs at other hotels I've visited. Plus, children aged 4 and up can be supervised for free, which made my little one super happy!
3. The room key card came with a park map, showing hiking trails. There's an easy 5-kilometer mountain boardwalk, perfect for families, where you can visit the Eight Planets viewing platforms.
4. The breakfast was impressive! They had steaks, lamb chops, and a rich variety of both Chinese and Western dishes. However, the cured meats were generally a bit too salty.
Cons:
1. For a 5-star hotel, there was no safe in the room.
2. While there's an abundance of kids' activities, most of them come with a fee.
3. Since the kids' club was newly renovated, the smell was quite strong, making my eyes and throat uncomfortable.
Overall, we were still very satisfied. I imagine it would be even more atmospheric to visit in winter for the hot springs, though I expect it would be extremely crowded.

I had a memorable trip! Before I even left, Ben Lin, the hotel manager, called me to explain the whole process, including parking, shuttle bus location, and luggage check-in. He even added me on WeChat and sent me their official account. I already felt the service was great. Just before leaving, I twisted my ankle. It wasn't serious enough to affect my driving, so I still drove for over two hours to get there. When I got out of the car, I realized I couldn't walk. I limped through check-in, and Ben Lin was there to greet us. He brought me Yunnan Baiyao (a traditional Chinese medicine for injuries) and even got a wheelchair to push me to my room. Along the way, he told me about the facilities and my itinerary, saying I could call him for anything, and he'd help if he could. It was really heartwarming. He didn't even ask for a deposit for the wheelchair, and I even took it out (though I barely used it; I still ended up limping everywhere because the stone paths were impossible with a wheelchair, haha!). Even with a twisted ankle, it was still a pleasant trip!

Guest UserOverall, it was a pleasant stay. The only downside was that the hot spring ticket provided by the hotel stated it opened at 3 PM, but when we arrived at 3 PM, the gates were closed. A sign at the entrance said it opened at 3:30 PM. Waiting for half an hour in the scorching heat was a bit tough. I hope the hotel can confirm the correct operating hours and update their information accordingly.

Finally checked into Yanqi Hotel, nestled on the Yanqi Peninsula. The views of the lake and mountains right outside the window, coupled with the tranquil and healing Chinese garden scenery, make it an excellent choice for a relaxing getaway in the Beijing suburbs. The hotel's facilities and breakfast quality were also top-notch.
What truly stood out was the staff member Shirley. Her service was attentive and thoughtful throughout our stay. She proactively introduced us to the park's touring routes and promptly helped us coordinate and resolve various needs during our check-in. Her professional and appropriate approach, with just the right amount of care, never made us feel constrained. It's this kind of warm and considerate service that made our trip exceptionally comfortable. A sincere thank you to Shirley; we'll definitely be back.

Tina ZhengTrue to the Kempinski style, the hotel is well-equipped. The staff at the playground were very attentive and kind, and the children absolutely loved it, insisting on giving it a five-star rating. The front desk staff were incredibly helpful during check-in, and when they learned that my child needed a nap on the day of their competition, they kindly extended our check-out time. The hotel's surroundings are excellent, making it a perfect spot for a relaxing getaway. We will definitely stay here again on our next visit.

Guest UserThe rooms are clean and tidy, and come with a balcony. When checking in, you need to register your vehicle to park in the underground parking lot đ
żď¸, otherwise, you might be charged a parking fee. We had three king-size rooms, and 1119 had the best view, overlooking the lake from the balcony, with a beautiful sunrise in the morning. The room directly opposite could see the golf course behind, which was great for sunset views. The bathroom and bathtub are in separate spaces opposite each other, designed with two sinks for simultaneous use. The front desk is on the second floor, and the connecting corridor to the hot spring â¨ď¸ is also on the same floor, though it's a bit of a walk. The buffet restaurant is on the first floor. Complimentary fruit was provided in the room.

Anonymous UserAfter booking the hotel, I saw a lot of negative reviews, which made me quite nervous. However, I found it to be pretty good in reality. The environment is beautiful and the air is pleasant, perfect for a relaxing 'lie-flat' vacation, so I ended up staying for three nights.
As a five-star hotel, the hardware facilities, room layout, and spatial design are all top-notch. The accompanying gym and pool are also excellent. The gym has water and towels, and a good range of equipment, so I'd give it a five-star rating.
The main complaint about breakfast seems to be the small restaurant, but I personally felt the food variety met expectations. The live cooking stations for noodles and wontons were quite tasty, and there were also specialty 'huoshao'. The omelet chef was very friendly, and there were several coffee machines, both capsule and regular. The hot dishes were indeed limited, only three or four, which is a clear drawback. Also, the small cakes common in other five-star hotels were missing. I'd give it a four-star rating, but it's certainly not bad.
The Chinese restaurant, however, offers poor value for money. It's expensive with limited variety, many dishes didn't inspire me to order, and the taste was just average. Overall, the dining is a relative weakness. The Jing A beer at the lobby bar wasn't expensive, though. There are many takeaway options, but the robot delivery was a bit slow.
The housekeeping staff were very diligent, providing plenty of water and amenities. I was just a little surprised that after excitedly bringing my own tea, there were no tea sets. It was also a bit inconvenient that there were no toiletries by the bathtub.
The front desk staff were also fine. The World Horticultural Exposition is right outside, and the complimentary hot spring tickets made it an excellent value. I hope they continue to operate well, and I would stay here again if I have the chance.
Oh, and the entrance and exit to the underground parking lot are a bit small, so be careful when passing other cars.

Guest UserThe resort environment was very comfortable, and the kids absolutely loved participating in all the activities, having a great time. The atmosphere at night was quite lively too. Vera provided excellent service, and overall, I was very satisfied â a full five-star recommendation!
What I loved most was that all the activities were included. Whether for adults or kids, indoors or outdoors, there were rackets provided by the hotel for basketball, table tennis, billiards, football, archery, and golf. The water park was quite large; the depth was perfect for children to swim, though a bit shallow for adults. Plus, all the craft activities, performances, flying trapeze, and aerobics were really fun!
Dinner was the most abundant meal, with various international cuisines. The sashimi, BBQ, and salads were all delicious. The dessert bar was the most amazing part â truly five-star standard! My daughter even said the roasted lamb chops were incredibly tasty. đ
We stayed in the Shaun the Sheep room, which was decorated so cutely. My child said she wants to come back again next time! The most comfortable aspect, actually, was the beautiful environment of the Songshan scenic area. It's a natural oxygen bar, bringing you close to nature; you can see and smell the natural aroma. There were also about a dozen adorable little cats! đ We plan to try out Club Meds in other cities and countries next time!

Anonymous UserOur long-awaited summer family trip to Beijing, with the New Otani Hotel as our base, turned out to be a relaxed and enjoyable journey.
Located in the heart of Chongwenmen, the hotel boasts an excellent prime location. This historic hotel, having weathered the years, has shed its extravagance to offer a truly solid and comfortable stay. The rooms are clean and bright, with good soundproofing, allowing us to rest peacefully at night after days of sightseeing. The girls at the front desk were exceptionally polite; seeing that we were traveling with children and seniors, they thoughtfully upgraded our room â another pleasant surprise during our trip. The staff were patient and attentive, striking just the right balance.
The concierge service for luggage storage was convenient, and food delivery to the room was quick and easy, with Mr. Guan Longhai providing meticulous service. The housekeeping staff, Xiao Rui and Sister Haiyan, were also kind-hearted and down-to-earth. Checkout was swift; simply handing the room card to the front desk staff was all that was needed. We'll definitely bring our child to stay here again on our next visit to Beijing.

This place has everything you could want nearby: food, drinks, entertainment, and shopping. It's really close to the subway station, and bus access is pretty convenient too. It looks like a regular hotel, but it's actually more like a hostel. The staff are enthusiastic and friendly, and there are a lot of international guests. I stayed here for a few days, and they even have washing machines and dryers available. Definitely my top choice for my next trip to Beijing!
