"We recently stayed at the Hotel Royal Continental in Naples from January 7 to January 9, 2025, and our overall experience was very positive. Location & Safety The hotel is located in one of the safest and most touristic areas of Naples, right on Via Partenope, facing the sea and Castel dell'Ovo. Naples, as a city, is still evolving into a true tourist destination. The city is making significant improvements to attract more visitors, and you can feel that transition happening. This particular area where the hotel is located feels very safe, thanks to continuous police presence. We saw officers patrolling on foot and by car at all hours of the day and night, which gave us peace of mind. The neighborhood is also filled with excellent restaurants offering a wide range of quality food at reasonable prices. Of course, not every place is great, but there are many good options within walking distance. Additionally, the historic center and most major tourist attractions are within walking distance from the hotel. You can take a leisurely stroll and reach the main sights in under an hour. Room & Comfort The seafront location of the hotel is outstanding. The view from our room was beautiful, and we loved opening the panoramic window to let in the fresh sea breeze in the morning and evening. It’s a wonderful way to start and end your day. The room itself was comfortable and well-maintained, with a level of luxury comparable to a 4-star European hotel. However, it's important to note that European hotel standards are different from those in the U.S.. By American standards, this hotel would be closer to a 3-star property. Despite this, the housekeeping staff did a great job cleaning the room daily and replacing towels. Service & Atmosphere The hotel staff is professional and polite, but interactions felt a bit robotic and mechanical. It seemed like they were following routines rather than making genuine connections with guests. That said, room cleanliness was good, and we appreciated the attention to detail in that regard. One thing that stood out is the hotel’s nostalgic 1950s vibe. The hotel seems proud of its mid-century charm, which they promote through signs and advertisements around the property. If you enjoy that type of retro atmosphere, you’ll appreciate this hotel. Breakfast Experience The breakfast at the hotel was excellent. The dining room overlooks the sea, which makes for a lovely breakfast setting. There are several breakfast stations with a wide variety of options, and the food quality was great. Waiters clean the tables and take care of guests throughout breakfast service, which adds a nice touch. We were very satisfied with the overall breakfast experience. Final Thoughts Overall, Hotel Royal Continental is a solid choice for staying in Naples. The location is its biggest strength, offering stunning views, proximity to restaurants, and easy access to the historic center. it provides a comfortable and memorable experience with beautiful sea views and a nostalgic atmosphere. Would we stay here again? Yes, for the views, location, and breakfast!"

"Service was amazing. Luciano was great and friendly. He helped us with the early check-in and Oriana (we spoke with her just through phone) was amazing too. The lady cleaning and working there was great too: Patrizia was too nice and I am just too sad that I forgot to leave her a big tip. Area is not central but still amazing. Calmer than other areas and nicer for sure. You can easily reach any other part of the city. Also, there are many restaurants and bar close. For us it was also perfect since it is right by the American Embassy, that is where we needed to go. Coffee machine in the common area was also amazing. Best choice and the price was amazing too. I will definitely go back again."

"You can see the egg castle on the street downstairs by the sea. The location is good, but it is not convenient to go to the train station and bus. If you drive by yourself, it will not affect it. The room is generally OK, there is a small balcony to see the sea. The bathroom is a bit dripping, the hair dryer is a bit old, and the impact is not big."

The sun was shining on me, and I had lunch with the seagulls. I looked at the Castel dell’Ovo nearby and Mount Vesuvius in the distance, and all I could see was the Mediterranean Sea. The food provided by the hotel is also very delicious. The octopus salad I ordered was very satisfying."

The overall environment is elegant and suitable for business and travel. The only small regret is that the air conditioning wind is slightly stronger, it is recommended to adjust the wind speed setting. In general, this is a very cost-effective hotel, it is recommended, and I will choose to stay here next time."

"We stayed here for one night as a stopover in Naples, without any sightseeing. The hotel is on the third floor of an apartment building with about three or four rooms. It is about ten minutes away from the city. Compared to the city, it is quieter and the beach is right at the doorstep. The boss, Max, is very enthusiastic and actively helps us solve and handle problems. The decoration of the room is also very artistic and modern. The downside is that the colors are dark and some corners are not cleaned well. There are unidentified floating objects in the kettle. This aspect needs to be improved."
