Hotels in Wujiaochang Commercial Area, Shanghai

The Bixiong and Erxiong (characters) in the lobby are really cute, and there are even outdoor seats by the entrance. Almost every night, people are sitting there, which is a shame because the street view is dominated by an overpass. Otherwise, the surrounding greenery and scenery are actually quite nice.

I had a comfortable stay, so I extended it. I'm also used to loft-style rooms, so I didn't switch. Compared to the flat-style room I stayed in before, this one feels bigger, and my friends could gather on the sofa, which was nice. Facilities: The gym downstairs is pretty good. The room amenities are all complete. Service: The front desk staff were very helpful and patiently answered and resolved any issues I had. Cleanliness: The cleaning staff emptied the trash and replaced towels daily, and they were friendly. The staff who cleaned during my stay at the end of the year vacuumed every day. However, the staff I encountered this time only vacuumed once every 3-4 days. Also, I only got new slippers after almost a month of staying. Apart from these two points, everything else was fine; the sheets were changed about once a week.

The hotel's location is super convenient, right by Tongji University. The room design is very stylish, and the bedding is really comfortable. It's also easy to get a taxi to the Bund and Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street. It perfectly avoids the hustle and bustle of the city, and there are many late-night Japanese eateries nearby that I've saved for next time. I'll definitely stay here again!

The room was clean and tidy. It was simple, yet very clean, and I had a good night's sleep. There's a shopping mall nearby and plenty of street-level shops, making dining convenient. The subway station is just a 600-meter walk, which is great for getting around.

Clean and good service. The surrounding area has convenient amenities and transportation. The only downsides are the lack of an elevator and the rooms are a bit too dense, like a maze. But for just over a hundred (yuan/dollars), it's pretty good! I'd recommend it to anyone visiting the area. This was the first time I've ever slept until 9:30 AM in a hotel, I overslept!

Home Inn Selected was a convenient and comfortable choice for our stay in Shanghai, especially as it was located very close to our friend’s home. The hotel is also only around a 5-minute walk from the underground/metro station, making it very easy to travel around the city and visit Shanghai’s main tourist attractions. The room itself was clean, tidy, and suitable for a comfortable stay, and the hotel offered good value as a budget-friendly option in such a busy city. There was a slight lingering smoke smell in parts of the room/building from previous guests smoking, but aside from that, our overall experience was positive. The staff were very helpful and accommodating throughout our stay, particularly when assisting us with extending our booking for an additional night at a very reasonable price, which we greatly appreciated. Overall, this is a solid and convenient budget hotel for anyone looking for a good base while exploring Shanghai, especially with such easy metro access. We would happily consider staying here again in the future.

Newly opened, so the facilities are brand new, and the decor and quality are top-notch. The location is right above a Line 10 subway station, which is incredibly convenient as many must-visit Shanghai attractions are on this line. The hygiene is excellent. There's a gym and laundry room available. The front desk staff are also very nice, and I'm very satisfied with the service. Plus, it offers exceptional value for money.

10/2025 - I brought my relatives to Ramada Wujiaochang Shanghai for staying here because this hotel has the best price and performance ratio in that area at $78 for a suite, including two buffet breakfast and tax, no tip in China. We enjoy the area for shopping and dining, especially across the hotel, you can find a delicious bowl of vegetable wontons soup at $2.00 (15 RMB) including tax vs. approximately $20 in Los Angeles after Tax + Tip! If you like Chinese medicine for a special area treatment, a 北京同仁堂 is just across the hotel. The hotel has been continuing to renovate guestrooms slowly. Staying at a 9th floor might be your best choice because all guestrooms were remodeled 5 years ago with a Biden Toilet. The subway #10 is just a walking distance from the hotel. If you like to visit the Pudong, you can consider to take a new subway line #18 for just a one-seat ride, but a 20 minutes walk or take a taxi at $2.00 to the subway. 2019 - This is my third time to stay at RAMADA SHANGHAI Wujiaochang. I am glad that the hotel is now going through a remodeling construction phase. The 3rd and 5th floors are at the reconstruction at the moment. The hotel has a all-you-can-eat morning buffet with 30 different items at $7 (50 RMB) per person, which can satisfy most common visitors. A walking distance to the subway line 10 is not far, which usually takes 10 minutes. From the subway station, you can visit a newly opened underground plaza where 13 exits are available.

The rooms were very clean. I booked a relaxed twin room for my parents and a special offer twin room for myself on the 4th floor. The front desk staff were very accommodating and helped upgrade our rooms to the same floor. It was a very satisfying stay, and my parents are even extending their visit for a few more days. The staff were also very enthusiastic. I'll definitely stay here again next time! [Heart emoji]
