"This hotel made me feel like I paid for a cheap stay where everything costs extra. It was the first time I've heard of paying extra for early check-in. Eventually, the staff let us check in early when they saw we weren't going to pay. Some staff members were enthusiastic, others were just okay. At the Indigo restaurant, the server rushed us to pay our bill even though it was still during working hours. The kids' play area only allows one adult and one child, which isn't very family-friendly. What, is one parent supposed to sit outside while the other takes the child in? The breakfast tasted alright, but the variety was very limited. Even though there were available tables, the staff wouldn't let us sit there, insisting we sit at a further table, presumably so as not to disturb the foreign guests next to us. Sigh. Overall, it was an okay trip with the kids, but I won't choose this place for a vacation again."

"This is the first time I am staying at this hotel as my previous visits to Tanjong Pinang I had stayed at the Alltrue Hotel. I must say this hotel is way much better as it's newer compared to the 28 yrs old Alltrue where maintenance is quite poor. I liked this hotel as it's clean smells good & friendly service staff. The room is spacious & TV works well. There is hot water kettle & tea/coffee is provided. I was also impressed with the breakfast which was included. I will definitely return again if I am at Tanjong Pinang The only downside was the loud prayers from the nearby mosque at 5am & other times in the day. It should not be so loud. As I was in room 305 my window view was not good looking at an abandoned rooftops with old tables. I hope 8 will be given upper floors instead os 3rd floor."

"The room was great and the sea view was beautiful, with good service all around. Although there was a minor hiccup during check-in (the air conditioning was broken), the maintenance staff tried their best to fix it, and housekeeping called several times to check if the AC was working properly. I was very satisfied with how this was handled. The only downside is that there's only one restaurant. Personally, I think the restaurant's view is unbeatable, and the food quality is above average. However, the dinner buffet wasn't particularly good; ordering à la carte would have been better. Also, the cleanliness of the cups in the room needs improvement, and there was quite a bit of dust in the bathtub on the balcony."

"Was here for a company retreat. Location is really far from anything else, but I kinda like it this way. Its a double storey room, with a living area and a private pool on the first floor and the bedroom on the second. Bathroom area is huge, there is some smell at the shower area, think its the drainage issue, and the sick is a lottle rusty. But the wonderful and friendly staff of the resort make all these small imperfection, perfect! Good job to the team! Oh, i was surprise by the breakfast spread 😃 quite a good spread of local and western choices that i kinda overeat 🤣. And credit to the chef too! I had lunch and dinner at Azura, food taste good! Recommend for family and friends gatherings."

"This is my second time staying in Aston. The service is impeccable and the staff are the most friendliest and helpful people. The rooms are kept clean daily with fresh towels always available. The restaurant is cosy with really good variety of both western and delicious Indonesian traditional food. The hotel’s location is just a stone’s throw away from lots of eateries and restaurants, museums and tourist spots. The swimming pool has a children’s pool and mini water park. Great for families with young children. The adult pool is always clean and big enough for a good workout. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely come again."

"We wanted to have a more private and laidback stay over Christmas, and Pantai Indah Lagoi delivered this! After immigration, we were brought to a waiting area for a private car transfer to the villa. Check in was smooth and the housekeeper did a detailed explanation of our room amenities for us. They have a dedicated WhatsApp line for any requests such as housekeeping or buggy. Everything was clean inside and thankfully we did not have any bugs this time, which made it even more pleasant. The private pool was also pleasant and clean for a cooling swim, and we thoroughly enjoyed the peaceful vibe of the villa. Thankful for the great service and definitely worth visiting in a group next time!"

"If you are not fussy about a ”right slap in the city” hotel, then this is a perfect hotel for you and your family! The hotel is within walking distance to Melayu Square, Tugu Pencil, Gong-gong building, Jalan Hang Tuah, the newly built coastal bridge, and the main ferry port. The neighborhood is also very friendly and littered with many little local eateries and grocery shops that are not expensive! Even if you want a very good Chinese seafood restaurant, Sei Enam is only a stone throw away! The hotel rooms are very basic and simple and the hotel is not equipped with a elevator, so if you are staying on the 4th floor, you'll have to walk up! Inside the rooms are simple appliances like TV, cable, telephone, drinking cups, bottled water, slippers, cupboards, drawers, hot and cold water showers, toothbrush with toothpaste, shampoo, small bar soaps, aircon, firm pillows, and even a nice bolster for you to hug to sleep! There are unfortunately no water billers nor coffee and tea condiments in the room. Hot and cold drinking water are on level 1 dinning area. The hotel package that I took came with a simple breakfast. The dishes are local and spicy and they are often sprinkled with peanuts. Breakfast come in wrapped up (takeaway) packages with all the pratas sauces, and/or rice in paper and plastic wrappings. Cutleries and plates are available for use. Free flow of coffee and tea with sugar (no milk nor creamer). For the price of about S$26/day, I thought that it was such a wonderful stay in this hotel! Even though it is without much amenities (because I'd rather go take my walks around town and go get a boat ride), I highly recommend this 2 star hotel for a simple and affordable stay in Tanjung Pinang! "The hotel exceeded our expectations. It is located away from the hustle and bustle, offering a very serene and peaceful environment. The staff were warm and hospitable, and the food was surprisingly delicious—our favourite was the fun platter. We also enjoyed the BBQ dinner and the complimentary kayaking activity. One area for improvement would be mosquito control. It may be helpful to increase the frequency of pest control services, as we experienced quite a severe mosquito issue and received more than twenty bites during just one dinner."

"Absolutely incredible hotel experience! Stunning room with balcony overlooking the Singapore Strait. Several activities you can do, from eco golf to fishing and a movie night projected on to the side of the ship. The tour was excellent and all of the staff were great. I hired a motorbike through reception so I could explore the island - all organised very well, although 3x more expensive than say Thailand, Vietnam etc. The restaurant has a limited menu unless you are happy with local, mainly seafood dishes with a couple of western options and pizza. The drinks are expensive already, then they add 21% service and tax, again, significantly higher than what you would pay in similar SE Asian countries but I heard typical for Bintan. Buy your drinks from the convenience store in the ferry terminal - 4x cheaper than the hotel bar restaurant. They did say however that their profits are given to charity. Overall, I had an incredible stay here, excellent value, excellent location if you want to chill or explore the island (not suitable for walking) or just relaxing by the beautiful infinity pool overlooking the ocean. Highly recommended, will 100% return and no need to look at any other hotel on Bintan!"
