"This was a delightful hotel from yester year set in a lovely location by the sea with outstanding views and fairly easy access to a beautiful beach and good walks nearby. Try the hidden hut nearby for a nice lunch.. The hotel service was excellent. The pool one can use privately just book a time required towels are provided. The hotel has an excellent chef the food is well presented and tasty. The menu however has a very limited choice and that could be improved upon hopefully. Breakfast was very good but the English breakfast seemed a little small, but with cereal and fruits yoghurts to begin if required it's enough to set one up for the day. Just to say if a sea view room is not within your budget the view from the restaurant and the gardens will make up for it."

"I've stayed at The County arms several times now. Its perfectly located for exploring pretty much all of Cornwall and of course just a short walk into the city of Truro. It has a large car park and is also very close to the mainline train station. The rooms are spacious and pretty clean with everything you need. The fact that is is also a pub/resturant is vert handy for grabbing a drink and a bite to eat. My only complaint was that the breakfast staff didnt deal with my request for gluten free options very well at all. So I choose not to eat there on my second day of staying."

"Not the cheapest overnight stay, but a lovely property in a beautiful, out of the way location. The room (rear facing family suite) was surprisingly large and equipped with a mini kitchen. Overall clean and well-maintained though we struggled to get really hot water in the shower. There were a few other quirks: afternoon tea needs 24h notice; you need to book a time slot to go into the swimming pool; staff seemed a little thin on the ground, particularly in the afternoon around check in. Breakfast was overall good value, though supplies felt a little sparse. On the plus side there were a good number of EV chargers at a very reasonable rate. Staff were friendly and helpful whenever we spoke to them."
