Jonkoping City, Sure Hotel by Best Western

I’m used to staying at hotels with at least some sort of minimum service level. But due to everything being fully booked I had to stay here and I won’t be returning if I can help it. First of all, this is apartments which is fine. It’s unmanned and you never see the owners. You’re supposed to get check in details via text but I didn’t get any until I reminded them. When I got access just as the instructions said. The kitchen was all right, and the sleeping area ok. Cleaning is lacking in many departments, there was for instance trash left behind from previous guest in the bathroom, and I woke up the following morning with an old piece of chewing gum in my hair. Not sure where that came from but probably the pillows. It was still soft so it stuck there nice and good. The bathroom is also in desperate need of renovations, but the shower was hot and nice but there is no shower gel or anything like that. TV in the room only had three working channels, and there is no WiFi - so plan accordingly. I was surprised that even such a basic commodity as WiFi is lacking. But the absolute worst part was probably how I could hear the neighbors doing everything. Guy above me was an early riser, but his alarm woke me up and then I could hear him walking around, and then shower which was also super loud. So thanks but not thanks, I probably won’t returning here again. The place has a lot of potential and it hurts leaving a review of a family run business like this, but you need to know what you’re getting into.
Best Western Hotel Tranas Statt
3.9/530 Reviews
The hotel is located in the center of town, about 8 minutes walk from Tranas train station. The breakfast is delicious, and the lunch is a buffet, about 150 kronor, and the taste is also good. The room is very clean, but the hardware in the room, such as the wardrobe, table and chairs, are not strong enough and the material feels poor. The shower area in the bathroom is narrow and small.
Good Morning Jönköping

A most excellent hotel stay over the night traveling by car with a dog. Everything we experienced was excellent for us and our dog - a Magyar Vizsla 3 years old. The dinner we had in the restaurant surprised us really. It was one of the best pasta pesto we have had in a restaurant in Europe.

Visiting Eksjo for just one night and everything was booked. I came across this and thought ”a hotel room at a gas station - nah”....but decided to look and the pictures looked nice, so I went for it. We arrived early afternoon and got key, breakfast tickets and even vouchers for a few dollars to get snacks at the front/check-in counter. I was pleasantly surprised, restaurant was busy with ”Dagens” the daily lunch. Parking was very convenient to rooms, our room was clean, beds were comfortable, the bathroom was a decent size and the shower was NICE. Hot water, towels, soap dispenser/shampoo dispenser. We didn't try the TV, and had plans but returning to room in evening we slept great. The included breakfast buffe was a nice surprise too. Motel-ish set up but everything normally on a Swedish breakfast buffe'. (Not like our American Danishes and sugar muffins;) This was cold cuts, cheese, fresh bread and rolls, boiled eggs (medium and hard), kefir, muslix, and variety of other healthy options to start ones day. We would stay here again if passing through this lovely town where I once lived as a child. Go Rasta Eksjo!
