Fantastic! From the exceptional customer service at a 2:40AM check in, to the immaculate room and excellent location CitizenM was more than I could have asked for. More than anything, I needed a relaxing, stress free weekend and this hotel delivered in spades. My son said it was very Millennial, but I don’t know what he meant. My room was efficiently designed with all the comforts of home. I truly enjoyed my stay.
I spent Christmas and New Year's at this hotel. I spent some time and effort finding a suitable hotel beforehand, but it was definitely worth it. It was not only clean and tidy, but also incredibly cost-effective.
First, let's talk about the location. For tourism, Boston's area isn't very large, so the most important thing when choosing a hotel is considering both price and transportation convenience. There's a tram stop right in front of the hotel (the photo was taken from across the street; the dark-roofed building behind the tram stop is the hotel). To the left of the hotel is the Kenmore subway station, which connects the Green, B, C, and D lines (you can see it marked ”Green line - all lines” in the photo). It's very convenient to get to attractions, the airport, and Chinatown. Even Newbury Street is only about 1 kilometer away. There aren't any large supermarkets nearby, but there's a 7-Eleven next door with fruit, bread, sandwiches, instant noodles, etc., which is sufficient for basic needs. While there aren't many restaurants nearby, if you're craving lobster rolls, there's supposedly the popular Row34 right next to the hotel (unfortunately, it was closed for the holidays). Across the street is a Japanese restaurant called Nagomi Izakaya; I once got $18 worth of salmon fried rice to take back to the hotel – it was piping hot and delicious.
Now, let's talk about the essentials for Chinese travelers. Want hot water? There's an electric kettle in the room. Need free drinking water? Two bottles of water are provided upon check-in (the bottles are lightweight stainless steel and even marked as the official hotel of the Boston Red Sox). The hotel lobby offers free drinking water, coffee, sparkling water, and tea, including tea bags and paper cups, from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM, which you can take back to your room. Want to reheat food from the refrigerator? You can request a microwave in your room upon check-in, and even toothbrushes can be provided (toothpaste and slippers are not available). Crucially, all of these are free! Also, the room is huge; we had two suitcases fully extended without any problem moving around. The bathroom was spacious and equipped with hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel. Hot water was plentiful, and the drainage was excellent. The room photos on Ctrip were exactly what you'd expect.
There was one minor flaw in the facilities: the shower was overhead, and the glass door lacked a sealing strip. A little water from the showerhead would spill slightly through the gaps, but not excessively. We solved this by covering the showerhead with a lightweight, compressed disposable face towel we brought, allowing the water to pool.
Now, let's talk about the key hotel service. Before our trip, we emailed Stephanie to confirm various details, and she responded very quickly, thoughtfully noting all our check-in requirements. On check-in day, we were greeted at the front desk by a tall, handsome young man named Kelvin, who was very friendly. He gave us Christmas chocolates and cookies and even reminded us that we could refill our water in the lobby the next morning. The day before we left, Boston was swept by strong winds. The weather forecast predicted -6°C, but it felt like -16°C 🥶. Boston winter combined with strong winds made walking on the streets truly chilly. Since our return flight was in the evening, and hotel check-out was at noon, and it was too cold to go outside, we tried to apply for a free late check-out at the front desk. After hearing our flight time, the lovely, chubby male receptionist immediately extended our check-out to 2 PM, explaining that it would have been charged if we had stayed until 3 PM. Encountering such a hotel and service while traveling was incredibly pleasant, and I highly recommend it!
Finally, let me share my impressions of the city. From a tourist's perspective, aside from the extremely cold winter weather, Boston is truly a wonderful city. Its beauty stems not only from its renowned universities and academic atmosphere, but also from the cleanliness and orderliness you feel even when you walk along the city's first subway line, which dates back to 1897. When you enter the century-old Museum of Fine Arts and see large Chinese characters and maps in various languages, including Chinese, on the visitor center wall, you can feel the city's pride and warmth. When you can stroll through the century-old streets and buildings while sipping bubble tea, you can experience the wonderful fusion of history and modernity. In Boston's winter, it gets dark before 5 pm, and after you've had your fill of sightseeing, shopping, and dining, you can feel the friendliness and sense of security the city offers to travelers on your way home or in the car.

Great hotel in Sea Port area of Boston. 12 minutes walk to Downtown. There are many nice restaurants and bars around the area. The hotel is modern, rooms are spacious. Would stay here again!
The hotel is located near the last stop on the Red Line subway, about eight or nine stops from downtown, three stops from Harvard, and five stops from MIT. There's a lovely little park next to it, with squirrels and rabbits everywhere. Daily housekeeping is provided upon request. There are no shops or restaurants nearby, but you can buy drinks in the lobby, and the restaurant serves a delicious and nutritious breakfast. The staff are very friendly. We checked in at 1:30 AM, and the receptionist was very nice! The only downside is the lack of soundproofing.

Could do with some updating, particularly the reception and lounge. Housekeeping was hit and miss. We asked for some glasses in reception and had to wait 45 minutes for someone to bring them. The coffee pods in the room weren't topped up every day and one morning, a half used bottle of hand-wash appeared (not ours nor the hotel brand). The doors had big gaps around them letting in a lot of light and noise, especially the bathroom door which had a huge gap at the bottom so not very private.

Stayed for 13 days, the suite was very large for two people to live very comfortable, sometimes staying for a day did not feel stuffy, the room decoration is relatively new, very beautiful, good lighting, the front desk is very warm

Is an old hotel with full of character. Lift is a mixed of modern and old. It is well situated, across the road is a huge supermarket. Amtrak train station is just 5 mins walk away. Room is a little small and the Aircon cannot be controlled. Shower water pressure is good.
Best thing I like is a big kitchen with microwave and coffee machine. Even a 5 star hotel do not have this.
Checked in and out is super easy. Overall I like this hotel.
The room is clean and hygienic, and the transportation is convenient, but it is a bit far from the red and orange line subways, and it takes more than ten minutes to walk. The disadvantage is that it is too close to the road, the noise is too loud, and the sleep is affected.
The hotel's environmental protection concept is very clear. Cleaning is done once every two days. There are no slippers, toothbrushes and bottled water in the standard package, which need to be asked from the front desk.

Location was perfect, quincy food market next door. Plenty of good restaurants around. Walking distance to little Italy and state house to follow freedom trail. In terms of the Hotel, gym is small, only few machines in so you need to time it well to use it if you don't want go share it with others. Room was big, dated. Our room smelt, we could not establish why. Also we could not open our balcony door to get fresh air. We spoke to the reception and they offered to sent someone but nobody showed up. We pulled up with the smell by using AC. However without fresh air we struggled to sleep as was either got to hot or to cold. Bed was big and comfortable. Room was cleaned every day, bed was done, fresh towels and toiletries change every day. Fridge in our room was broken so we could not use it to store cold water. Staff overall was very nice. They have suitcase storage which made things easy. We had our flight in the evening and full day go still enjoy Boston. Check out is at 12 which leaves you with plenty of time in the morning if you wish go have slow morning.
Amazing front desk guy when we checked in late on 12/8. Got all the help I needed. Location perfect for catching early morning flights. Can walk over to Terminal A.

I recently stayed at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Westborough, Massachusetts, and I came away genuinely impressed with the entire experience. It’s not often that a hotel balances comfort, service, and convenience this well, but the DoubleTree manages to pull it off in a way that makes the stay feel both easy and enjoyable. From the moment I arrived to the moment I checked out, everything felt smooth, intentional, and welcoming. Right away, the staff made a strong impression. Check-in was quick and efficient, but also warm in a way that didn’t feel forced or scripted. The team at the front desk was attentive, friendly, and happy to answer questions. And yes, the signature warm cookie absolutely lives up to the hype. It’s a small gesture, but it sets a surprisingly positive tone, especially after a long trip. My room was clean, quiet, and thoughtfully arranged. The bed was extremely comfortable—firm enough for support but soft enough to feel restful. The linens were crisp, the pillows were perfect, and the blackout curtains actually kept the room dark in the morning. The bathroom was spotless and stocked with quality toiletries, with great water pressure and plenty of hot water. I also appreciated how quiet the room was. Whether it’s the layout or the construction, I barely heard any hallway noise, which made it easy to relax and sleep well each night. One of my favorite parts of the stay was the indoor pool. A lot of hotels list “indoor pool” as an amenity, but not all of them are worth using. This one absolutely is. The pool area was clean, well-maintained, and comfortably warm. The water temperature was ideal, and the space never felt crowded or noisy. Whether someone wants to swim laps, relax after a busy day, or let kids burn off some energy, the pool is a standout feature that really enhances the stay—especially during the colder months in Massachusetts. Another major highlight was the breakfast buffet. I’ve experienced hotel breakfasts that feel like an afterthought, but the buffet at the DoubleTree Westborough was genuinely impressive. There was a wide variety of options—fresh fruit, pastries, yogurt, oatmeal, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes, cereals, and more. Everything tasted fresh and was replenished frequently. The staff kept the dining area clean and welcoming, and there was plenty of seating. Starting the day with a filling, high-quality breakfast right downstairs made mornings easy and relaxed. The location of the hotel is also excellent. It’s close to major highways, shopping centers, and restaurants, yet tucked away enough to feel peaceful. Parking was plentiful and free, which I really appreciated. Whether you’re visiting for business, traveling with family, or just passing through the MetroWest area, the convenience works well for any type of trip. Overall, my stay at the DoubleTree Westborough was outstanding. The welcoming staff, comfortable rooms, great indoor pool, and excellent breakfast buffet all came together to create a stay that felt effortless and genuinely enjoyable. I’d happily return and strongly recommend it to anyone visiting the area
We spent a long weekend at this hotel. First, a free local shuttle express bus takes you from Logan Airport to Back Bay Station, which is just a four-minute walk from the hotel entrance. Check-in was smooth, friendly and efficient, and we were given our requested room. Our room was spacious and well-equipped, with a fantastic view over Boston Bay. It had a spacious seating area, a large flat-screen TV, a full size in-room fridge, a spacious rain shower, and ice stations on each floor. The bed and bedding were of high quality, and there was a selection of pillows to choose from. One of the most impressive features of this hotel is the in-room security safe, which is rare in many US hotels. There are also excellent food and beverage facilities on-site, and an extensive room service menu. The housekeeping was of a high standard, and complimentary water was provided each day. If you haven’t already, I highly recommend signing up for the Marriott Bonvoy awards programme in advance of your stay. This will give you free WiFi for your entire stay. The hotel is located in downtown Boston, with easy access to Back Bay and Copley Square metros, the Boston Public Library, Prudential Centre, and many other facilities such as supermarkets, restaurants, and cafes. I would highly recommend this hotel.
Newly renovated room with very comfortable bed/beddings and good temperature control system. Conveniently located to shopping and other tourist sites. Also easily accessible to Prudential station.
Great location for exploring Boston with subway and bus service a very short walk from hotel. Subway is cheap and very efficient way to get around. Hotel rooms are spacious and reception team are very welcoming and helpful. If you want to visit the theatres or Chinatown both are only a few minutes walk. Like any hotel there are downsides.... The includes breakfast option is not correct, you get an allowance towards breakfast which does not cover the cost, also breakfast service can be very good or very bad over the 8 days we stayed we experienced both. Evening meals are OK but you can get much better a few minutes walk away. Whilst the hotel is generally well sound insulated for an old building which has been sympathetically converted to an hotel it does not help on a Saturday night, The local nightclub is extremely popular with long queue's down the street, the ones who cannot get in seem to have a weekly rave on the adjoining multi storey car park until around 3am. The noise is incredible and despite this being a weekly occurrence the hotels complaints seem to be ignored by the local authorities. My advice is to either be prepared and accept the inconvenience or avoid staying on a Saturday Night, the same applies to all the other hotels in the immediate vicinity, especially the one with the Candibar nightclub in its basement! Overall a good hotel which could be even be great if the onsite restaurant was improved, the ”includes breakfast” listing was correctly worded, and the local authorities took action about the unsociable noise. Final word of praise for the super reception staff who really go the extra mile to help you enjoy your stay.
I got two nights stay at the hotel. My experience was fantastic from check in to check out. I arrived a little before lunch as I was transferring from Westin right next door so I wasn’t sure if I had to wait until 4pm for checkin. The front desk staff took me in pleasantly without a fuzz, very thankful for that especially when I’m on a tight travel plan. The room was very spacious and clean plenty of clean bathroom supplies, shower was awesome with just the right water pressure. The only thing I would suggest is to just leave the complementary bottle water in room (especially during the summer season) as opposed to having to pick up at front desk (which I wasn’t aware until my friend told me who was also staying at the same hotel). However the room does have two bottles of water but they are priced. I did notice that the internet is not free if you are not a Marriott member (not sure if it’s a norm now days but I think Westin was free for hotel guest and both are under the same hotel Group, but it stood out in my experience with the Hotels as I just completed two weeks of travel right before the stay), so at Checkout I asked to ensure my member number is associated with my stay and the gentleman at the front desk kindly confirmed that the internet charge will be removed on final billing. That was a peace of mind for me. Very thankful again. Overall a comfortable stay and will revisit!
The place is really nice, it was decorated all around and had greats lighting and sceneries. The rooms are also really cozy and have a lot of stuff like a small fridge, hair dryer, cabinets, you can customize the lights in the shower and the blinds with an IPad and the tv facing the bed is really nice. Furthermore it’s pretty quiet there. Awesome place, really worth it for the price
The room is very good, the environment is beautiful, it is in a park, very close to the subway station, very convenient. Parking is difficult in Boston. I recommend staying here, especially the friendly attitude of the front desk staff Alex and Krupa. I like this hotel very much
I recently had the pleasure of staying at Yotel and overall, I was highly impressed by the level of service and the prime location of the hotel. Service: The service was exceptional. From the moment I checked in to the time I checked out, the staff members were courteous, attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure a comfortable stay. They were always ready to assist with any inquiries or requests, making me feel truly valued as a guest.
This hotel is by far one of the best my family and I have stayed at in the Massachusetts area! Its a 3 min drive to the new Boston Childrens location in Needham, MA which is amazing since we have to travel often for our daughter. Everything was very clean and the front desk clerks were very nice! Demetrius, who we dealt with checking in, was incredible! He was so nice and helpful and I enjoyed talking with him! We will be back for sure!
