"We had a great time staying at Mercure Hotel. The room I’ve booked was spacious and comfortable. They have sauna and good hotel amenities. We enjoyed the pool area as well. Food selections was great too. It has lots of restaurants , coffee shops and stores so it’s quite convenient and enjoyable. Definitely would come back again! The rates at Trip.com were attractive. Definitely would recommend!"

"My friends and I had such a great time at Solea Mactan Resort! The pools were fun, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the whole resort had a relaxing and enjoyable vibe. "It was one of the best hotel/resort that I have ever stayed! That’s why it was very busy and crowded but in a good way. It has a great location; near airport and not far from the city proper and they have nearby beach. Their opportunity for improvement is perhaps the food. But overall we enjoyed our stay."

"I booked an overnight stay at Vivien Hotel, but unfortunately had a disappointing experience. The TV in my room was not functioning properly, so I called the front desk. Staff came to check and informed me it was a provider issue and that they would try to contact them. However, by 10 PM, there were no updates — I only learned about the status when I followed up myself. No alternative solutions were offered, and I was simply advised to wait until morning. Unfortunately, the issue was still unresolved by the time I checked out. Additionally, the hotel only has three floors and no elevator, which may be inconvenient for guests with heavy luggage. The lack of proactive communication and resolution made the overall stay frustrating."

"Overall, our stay at Seda Ayala was mixed, and I would rate it 3 out of 5. The room itself was decent—clean and comfortable enough for a short stay, though nothing particularly memorable. Breakfast offered a wide selection of options, which was appreciated, but unfortunately the taste did not quite match the variety. What really affected our experience, however, was the service at the front desk during checkout. There were three counters open and only a short queue, yet the line barely moved and we ended up waiting for around 15 minutes. As we were in a rush to catch our flight, I approached a staff member named Stephan to ask if I could simply hand over the room keys to speed things up. Instead of assisting, he gave me a hostile look and curtly responded, “I have other customer,” in a tone that felt unnecessarily rude. This interaction overshadowed what was otherwise an average stay. With better service, especially at the front desk, the experience could have been much more pleasant."

"My family and I only stayed for a night but it was a fun experience. There are a lot of pools and activity areas. All the pools were about knee to a bit above the waist high which was okay, I'm assuming it's for the safety of the kids since there are a lot of families with children in the resort. We also enjoyed the food(room service and breakfast buffet), but we were a bit disappointed with the dessert since the pastries were a little dry and bland. The drinks however, were good and enjoyable. Service was really nice, everyone always greeted us with a smile and was attentive to our needs. Wifi is free and so far we have had no problem with the speed. The beds are comfortable and the rooms were clean. Though I felt our experience was a bit lacking since there were a few toiletries that were not provided, like room slippers, cotton buds and cotton, a comb, etc. Also the cable was not good so staying in the room to relax would feel a little boring. Also, you only get 1 free request for ice and the next has a payment. But they do provide free water which is refillable and they also offer free instant coffee and tea. Overall, it was a fun experience and I would still love to come back next time."

"Despite the incredibly low price, the hotel was exceptionally clean, and all the staff were truly attentive and accommodating. I stayed for two consecutive nights, and they provided fresh amenities, towels, and water each day. My schedule was quite packed, so I didn't have time for breakfast, which was a shame. They also arrange a complimentary shuttle bus to the airport if you inform them in advance. There are many shops nearby, so it's generally lively throughout the night. Also, on my first night, which coincided with a Catholic festival in the Philippines, loud club music was playing outside from evening until early morning. My only minor complaints would be that the sink faucet was wobbly, the shower only ran cold water when the pressure was high (I had to significantly lower the pressure to get hot water), and there's no partition between the toilet and shower, so the toilet gets completely soaked when you shower. However, overall, I was very satisfied with the hotel! Thank you!"

"I have been using Costabella for nearly 20 years and have always considered it a pleasant, well maintained hotel. In fact I even got married here! However, during my most recent stay, the experience fell noticeably short of expectations. We booked a poolside room and, after check in, I was genuinely surprised to find that the room was on the third floor. Based on my many previous stays, I had always understood poolside rooms to be those adjacent to the pool at ground level. If you are booking a poolside room, be aware that this may not be the case and expectations should be managed accordingly. The room itself was a little dated in style, but it was clean, comfortable, and well looked after. Housekeeping was consistent throughout the stay, which helped offset the older décor. The pool area is relatively small but generally well maintained. Unfortunately, it was extremely crowded throughout the day due to the large number of day pass visitors. As a result, there were no chairs or loungers available for hotel guests for most of the day, which was disappointing. On a positive note, the beach area was clean and pleasant. The food was the main let down. The buffet breakfast would rate no more than 4 out of 10. Much of the food had not been replenished, including empty juice and coffee stations, and what remained was cold and unappetising. However, it was better on the second day. Dinner was equally disappointing. Several main courses were served cold and had to be sent back to the kitchen twice. In the end, we cancelled two seafood dishes altogether, as reheating raised concerns about food quality and safety. The steak, which was once a highlight of Costabella for me, was extremely tough and far below the standard I have previously enjoyed. Overall, Costabella still has many positive qualities, but this stay did not reflect the standards I have previously associated with the resort and this will be my last visit. Unless the quality of the food and the management of guest capacity improve, I would find it difficult to recommend Costabella based on this recent experience."

"High marks - private beach area and now is green algae season they will sweep the algae to the side so that u can swim at leisure without the algae on the water disrupting u - staffs are wonderful example lilith in the salt restaurant. Attentive, helpful and always with a smile. Housekeeping is great too - breakfast is great w lots of selection. Congee, pulut, waffle, egg station, bacon, fish, Filipino dishes etc etc - room is clean, aircon is working, water heater is working and environmentally conscious as there is refill station outside the room if the supplied water is not enough - theres a japanese filipino fusion restaurant nearby Low mark - only one temporary which is the swimming pool under renovation til 22 march 2026"
