So it is recommended that you don't include breakfast in this hotel. The quality of their a la carte breakfast is still good, and you can go to the restaurant to order it directly. In addition, the beverage coupons given in the lobby bar can be used in the lobby bar, but I didn't find out until the last day that it can also be used in the breakfast room. One coupon can be exchanged for a glass of juice or soft drink. Then the hotel also has free hot coffee and hot tea, but it is hidden next to the restaurant. You have to ask to understand. The rooms are basic and dated but you have what you need and if you have a relaxed Hilo mindset you’ll probably enjoy the 60s tropical vibe as much as we did! Advice on how to make your experience feel like a resort: - book room 416 or something around there: one with a balcony in the Oceanside. - grab some meats and cheeses from the supermarket and if you can, hard boiled eggs or the like to supplement your breakfasts (there’s a fridge in your room and you can put your continental breakfast from the hotel in a To Go container that you re use each day). -get up early each day to have breakfast in the balcony and enjoy your view a couple hours before the day’s activities.
