"Nice hotel with great location. Mojo Market is right next to it and that makes it super convenient for food, drinks and live music most nights. The staff is super friendly, helpful and truly make you feel welcome. The only suggestion would be to let people know there's construction currently happening right next to the hotel which makes it a little noisy. Perhaps the hotel could offer rooms for a cheaper rate for the inconvenience. TVs might need checking as well. I was not able to use mine at all. Overall it was a great stay though. "First off, the location right by the beach is absolutely flawless! You get unbeatable sea views, and stepping out means you're right on the sand – super convenient! I'd recommend it to anyone visiting Cape Town, and definitely suggest renting a car as Uber can be quite pricey there. Also, remember to bring a 3-pin international adapter; the hotel sells them but they're very expensive!"

"The room was spacious, clean, and well-equipped. The breakfast was fantastic! Unfortunately, I didn't sleep well there because the windows are completely uninsulated, and I could hear everything from outside, causing me to wake up several times during the night. Additionally, the front desk staff basically knows nothing – you ask simple questions about the city and get no answers. The laundry service is outrageously expensive (a price list for each item), but luckily there's a laundromat right across the street."

"We only stayed for one night and checked in late in the evening. The check in process was quite simple and fast, they also provided the bed for a baby upon request (we forgot to book it in advance). The breakfast was really nice, lots of options and great coffee!"

"We had an amazing stay at this hotel. The employees are VERY friendly and helpful. We stored our 4 suitcases for hours and they were safe. Employees helped me load my bags in the taxi. Hotel is clean and not noisy. I stayed on the 7th floor. There are May restaurants around the hotel and you can easily walk to them. Our favorite was the GREEK FISHERMAN. Lovely sun set views. Kitchen has many useful items. We just would had loved a sponge to wash our dishes."

"Lovely stay at Pepperclub - recommended. We chose to celebrate a big milestone in South Africa to create some very special memories. We toured from Joburg, through Nambiti to Durban and then onto Cape Town, and we booked Pepperclub to have a pampered end to our trip. The location is great, near Bo Kaap, local markets and safe to walk around. We had no problem getting where we needed to go. The hotel is very clean including the communal areas, gym and of course the rooms. However, housekeeping was more 4* - simple requests like extra blankets needed to be chased, and the turndown of the room happened every day but was inconsistent (sometimes the bathroom was cleaned and restocked, sometimes not). Similarly, the service was inconsistent even through the reception/concierge was always well staffed - Godfrey always greeted us enthusiastically, and there was another duty manager that was very diligent and followed-up well. However, when Godfrey was not on shift the welcome was more muted, and the staff on reception weren't exactly warm and not always efficient. Restaurant staff were always very warm and friendly. Breakfast was great - with good selection of buffet and a la carte options served swiftly. Lunch options were good too, and room service was efficient. Spa was excellent with very good massages and treatments. The Gym is good, though a little small, and for clarity the pool is not heated (but is beautiful). We didn't get a chance to try the private Odeon cinema, but they only had older movies not the newer ones found at public Odeon cinemas. Great views of Table Mountain and Lions Head from the rooms. The hotel were able to grant our special requests of early check-in, inter-leading rooms and they dressed the room and provided cake and bubbly to celebrate our anniversary - lovely touches. You won't regret your stay, but you may not be compelled to stay again."

"The location of the hotel, the surrounding environment did not have to say, the room was large and comfortable. It is very unfortunate that the backpack was placed in the hotel room, and the cash theft occurred, which caused a large loss. The police in Cape Town are very inefficient, because they have to enlist a guide to help them coordinate the follow-up if they want to catch a plane back to Johannesburg."

"We stayed for three weeks in March 2026 and absolutely loved everything. The staff were incredibly friendly and responsive, always ready to help and accommodate our requests. Housekeeping was excellent, coming every other day. Upon arrival, we found tea, coffee (ground and in capsules), sugar, creamer, salt, pepper, cooking oil, and even dishwasher tablets – everything you could need! The kitchen was fully stocked with all the necessary utensils. There's also a decent rooftop pool with fantastic views. Overall, it was a superb stay! We hope to return and stay here again."

"Krystal Beach Hotel boasts a unique architectural design seamlessly immersed into its surroundings. It’s like a Cruise Ship with bigger spaces. The rooms are well designed and maintained. The staff are professional. However, the food leaves a lot to be desired. The Hotel could do better with their breakfast buffet menu. Once you have your first breakfast, there is no motivation to go for breakfast on subsequent days because the food options aren’t spiced up on different days. Just the same menu and average at best."
